Talk with Lady Nagant

With this, All the problems regarding Eri were solved. With the information Kirito had told to the officer, he was sure that Madam President won't bother with them. Heck! She might even help them.

As for other matters, it was about Lady Nagant.

Kirito had planned to take her out of Tartarus and help her. It was mostly because he felt pity for her and he also wanted someone to take care of Eri.

Two emotionally broken people, He wanted them to become each other's pillars because he knew that he and Rumi won't be able to empathize with the two.

It would be difficult for Lady Nagant and Eri first but he will make sure it won't become impossible and help them as much as he can.

As he was thinking, Rumi called him.

"Kirito, Lunch is ready. Go and wake up Eri."

Hearing her, Kirito smiled and went to wake her up.

One week later.

It's been one week since the incident at home. In these 7 days, Eri had gotten used to our presence and she had started to exhibit emotion through her face. Though they won't be noticeable if you don't know her enough. Every day, they took her to various places to remove her fears of the unknown and try to make her talk.

The adoption procedure was done and for the issue related to Lady Nagant, she was released under a new identity but a contract was signed, stating that if something happened due to her, Kirito and Rumi will be responsible.

Her new identity was as Kirito's cousin from her maternal side, her new name was Kaina Mano.

She didn't want to abandon her name.

[Flashback 2 days ago]

Kirito heard the doorbell and he checked who was outside. He saw it was the Officer who had come before with a lady whose face was covered in a mask and she wore a big hat.

Kirito knew that she was Lady Nagant.

"Come In. But don't make any noise."

They went to the hall and sat down. Kirito used Psychic to bring snacks and juice for them.

"Then I will introduce--"

"No, Let me do it. I know her. You are Kaina Tsutsumi also known as Lady Nagant. Your past is known to me too. I am Kirito Sano."

"Did you bring the contract?" Kirito asked the officer who nodded and took out two stacks of documents.

"First these, These are adoption papers. Second these, they are documents related to her."

Kirito nodded and took them. "You can remove the mask and hat, and make yourself comfortable. I didn't take you out of the shitty prison to make you a doll who will listen to others."

He didn't try to hide his disdain for Tartarus and Hero Public Safety Commison's past actions.

The officer had an awkward look and said, "Mr. Kirito, You shouldn't judge the whole commission because of one..."

"I know! I know! I shouldn't judge the present President because of the past president's actions. But it will be possible when she will do something that will change my opinion. I mean you all didn't even know about that. I don't judge anyone by their covers and past actions. That's' I am giving the commission and her the chance."

"Or do you think I would bother about it?"

The Officer didn't speak as he knew Kirito was right while Kaina was trying to understand her position.

She had thought she was taken out of Tartarus again for the dirty work.

"I have read the papers. You all still are trying to bind me, Well! I will take care of her actions. But if they happened because someone instigated it or I found she was again accused falsely, then I won't bother it. Heck! I will even help her if you all want to play like that. Scheming or Brawl, I can do both."

"And! I don't want any surveillance, or I will release the video of you bathing on the net." Kirito said the last one in a joking tone but Officer knew he was speaking the truth.

"Kaina Sano, that will be your new name from now on. You will be my cousin from my maternal side. Now, officer anything else? Because I want to talk to her."

The Officer shook his head and left the house, leaving Kirito and Kaina alone in the room.

As soon as the officer left, Kirito's expression changed. From the serious look to the casual and lazy look.

"Man! What a hassle. They are really trouble to deal with. I have to think twice before saying anything or It might be sued on me. But to think she would listen to our conversation. It seems Madam President had a lot of time."

"Anyways, I will introduce myself again. My name is Kirito Sano, your cousin. You can call me Kirito."

Kaina who was still shocked after all the talk heard him, she nodded and said, "Hello, I am Kaina Sano. Nice to meet you. You can call me Kaina too."

"Nice to meet you too. Kaina, Do you have anything to ask, before I explain everything?"

"Hmm! What did you say about Madam President Listening?"

"Oh, That! Well, he had a device in his pocket which transmitted by voice to her. I found it as soon as he came in. I let her listen to everything and then at the end destroyed it, to show I knew about her."

"You knew she was listening, still you said that about her. Arem't you afraid of creating trouble?"

"Hahaha! Trouble. It's no trouble. Because if it was and if I was afraid, you would still be sitting in Tartarus. And she won't create any trouble, after all, I know few things she didn't and all the things she knew."

"Let's leave that. Now I will explain the rules in the house. And what you will do."

Kirito then told her everything about what she should do and what she shouldn't.

He also talked to her about Rumi and Eri. Eri's past and how she should deal with her. At last, he showed her a new room and said,

"Welcome to your new life, Kaina. From today, you aren't Kaina Tsutsumi or Lady Nagant who worked for Hero Public Safety Commission. You are free from the duties. Now you are Kaina Sano, a member of Sano Household."

Saying this, Kirito left her in the room and then sobbing sounds were heard.

Shaking his head, Kirito smiled and went to his room.

He took a notebook and wrote,

'1342-Lady Nagant/Kain Sano: New life from today.'

Above that, it was written,

'1341-Eri Sano: Saved and a new life start.'

And then he kept it on the desk. But no one other than him could see the notebook.
