His jealousy

( The next morning )

Daniel woke up first and looked at Sophia who was sleeping in his arms while pouting her lips. He chuckled seeing her like this.

"Good morning Wifey", Daniel said softly and kissed her forehead. He lay there looking at her face for a while and then decided to go to gym and let her sleep. He slowly and carefully moved Sophia on the bed but she frowned and reached her hands towards him instinctively and Daniel smiled.

Daniel felt happy that she was starting to depend on him little by little. He put a pillow in her arms and Sophia went back to sleep hugging the pillow. Daniel kissed her on her head above her hairs and went to gym.

After a little while Sophia moved her hands trying to sleep on Daniel's chest but she felt that it wasn't Daniel as his chest is hard whereas she was sleeping on something soft. Sophia opened her eyes feeling confused and saw that she was hugging a pillow and Daniel was nowhere to be seen.

Sophia sat up and looked at the time and she knew that he went to his home gym.

Sophia lazily got down from the bed and went to complete her morning routine. She is going to join the office from today so she decided to wear a formal dress. She chose a off-white V-neck, knee length belted dress.

Sophia wore black stilettos and she took a look in mirror. Daniel entered at this point and he felt he saw an angel. She looked exactly like an angel in white dress just like how she looked when she married him.

Daniel moved towards Sophia and stood beside her. Sophia looked at him through the mirror and raised her eyebrows at him.

Daniel was half naked and was sweating due to his intense workout session. He has a towel around his neck.

Sophia looked at his physique through the mirror and admired his well defined muscles and six-pack abs. Sophia was eyeing him from top to bottom while Daniel did the same to her.

Daniel noticed her checking him out and he smiled knowingly.

"Like what you see wifey?", he asked and Sophia's head snapped at his eye level and she saw his teasing look.

"No, I have seen better." , Sophia said and Daniel's smirk vanished. Sophia started putting on light makeup and Daniel was getting jealous thinking about her words.

"Who? Who did you see like this Sophia? Liam?", Daniel asked feeling burning jealousy.

"What?", Sophia looked at him straight turning herself towards him. "Where did that come from?", Sophia said feeling exasperated under his angry eyes.

"Who else could you see half naked? He was your boyfriend and fiancé once, so it must be him. But I don't think he has a better body than mine.", Daniel added and Sophia laughed out so hard that she felt tears coming out of the corner of her eyes.

"Is it funny?", Daniel asked in an unbelievable tone.

"Did you smell something burning?", Sophia asked suddenly turning serious and Daniel smelled a little around and said, "I don't smell anything."

"But I can. It's you who is burning is jealousy.", Sophia said scrunching her nose around him and again laughed.

Daniel gasped at her cheekiness and held her by her waist and pulled her towards himself. Sophia put her hands on his chest instinctively to balance herself and Daniel looked at her with his grey orbs, deeply and hardly.

"Tell me is my body better or was his better?", Daniel asked seriously. He will kill Liam is she said his name.

"Is the answer important to you?", Sophia asked and Daniel gave her a 'What do you think?' look.

"I never saw his body so I don't know but I am sure you have better one than most men out there.", Sophia said to him with sincerity. Her eyes were looking in his eyes and he knew she was telling the truth.

Daniel felt happy knowing she never saw him naked and he smiled. Sophia shook her head at his childishness.

"Okay, now go and take a bath. We will get late for office otherwise.", Sophia said pushing him towards the washroom and Daniel happily complied.

Sophia went downstairs after getting ready and asked Aunt Marry to serve their breakfast. Daniel soon came and both had their breakfast together in silence.

"You didn't bring your car so take whichever you like from the garage.", Daniel said and Sophia didn't resist knowing well that she needed one and he was her husband do it's okay to use his things.

Daniel smiled seeing her accepting his belongings and he knew she will accept him too one day.

Actually Daniel wanted to personally drop and pick her but he didn't want her to feel like she lost her freedom after getting married to him so he chose second best option.

They both went to their respective offices and Sophia was back after a break of 4 days but she felt it's been long while. She walked towards the lift and employees greeted her. Sophia gave them a nod of her head as a reply and continued on her way.

She went to her personal lift and went straight to the floor where they had just two offices. One was hers and other was Emily's.

Sophia stepped out of the lift when it reached the top floor and walked towards her office. Her secretary Anna greeted her and gave her brief of today's schedule and Sophia nodded her head in understanding.

Sophia took a seat behind the desk and started working on her files. She has quite some pending files there. Sophia sighed already feeling tired looking at the long day ahead.

Daniel reached his office and Joe briefed him about the situation of base relocation. Their core members are coming along and rest of the staff can be selected via walk-in interviews.

Daniel discussed a few things with the core members of their company who were on the video call with him and went on with his work later.
