Allen opened his eyes to find his girls in his bed. It wasn't hard to figure out who they were.
Annie frowned as she felt Allen move but didn't wake up, clinging to his arm.
Kimiko seemed to be dreaming about eating, as she was gnawing on Allen's hand.
'Judging by the movement of her tongue, it must be a caramel apple...'
Allen slowly withdrew his hand and freed himself from Annie's embrace, creating a body pillow to replace him.
Allen did it so subtly that she didn't notice that Allen had escaped.
'Two down and two to go...'
As he lifted the covers, he found Maeve lying on top of him, looking so peaceful with such a relaxed expression. Maeve had rested so well these past few days that she seemed to have gotten a few years younger.
"Ah hee hee~..." Cate clung to his leg while drooling.
Allen chuckled softly and escaped using his version of the replacement jutsu, which consisted of teleporting and leaving pillows to replace him. This technique is essential for men who sleep with many women and don't want to be stuck until the last one wakes up.
The room was not the one in the apartment but a larger one with mahogany furniture and a simple, comfortable, and homely atmosphere.
Allen walked over to the large window and opened the curtains to let in the morning sun. He also opened the window to see a backyard with a garden and a pool. This was the house he ended up acquiring. The truth is, he didn't have to spend a dime; a kind man with a turban named Saladino contacted Mallory and gave him a card for Allen. With it, he could buy whatever he wanted.
Allen didn't know what that meant, so he went to a bank to find out how much his credit limit was, and the manager said "yes" while sweating.
That must qualify as a lot of money...
The old Allen wouldn't have accepted that money; however, this Allen wasn't abusive either, so he just bought this house with the card and would return it to Saladino the next time he visited this world.
Allen looked lazily at the birds flying around the garden, "Six days have passed..."
The system should awaken at any moment. The faintly silver eyes turned skyward.
"Let's hope something turns up this time...or never turns up at all,"
Allen vanished and appeared on the moon instantly.
Allen looked at the planet with its unique bluish glow. "The earth and moon in this world are the same as in my origin world... unlike DC, heh," he smiled, shaking his head; it should always be that way, but DC has a lot of fictional places.
Allen closed his eyes and concentrated, sensing any trace of intent, ki, aura, energy, or life throughout the vast space.
Allen had done this for the past week; he wanted to make sure this world wasn't like his with aliens or gods lurking about. With his luck, some malevolent entity might appear just as he was leaving.
He remained in this state for a while without sensing anything, so he opened his eyes...
Just when he was about to return to Earth, his spider-sense, which had reached its maximum evolution, development, and control thanks to his cursed technique, kicked in.
The spider-sense had evolved to precognition and clairvoyance, and there, he felt a slight danger far away.
Allen vanished and arrived where a massive meteorite was traveling through space. This meteorite would take centuries to reach the Earth, but it was the size of half the moon.
Allen placed his hand on it and said, "Resonance…"
The massive meteorite disintegrated...
Allen didn't look back before returning and appearing in his dining room. He sat in the main chair.
Shortly after, 2B, Esdeath, and Makima entered, dressed as maids.
"Master..."
2B placed a tray in front of Allen, Esdeath set down the utensils, and Makima placed a cup of coffee.
"Thank you..."
Allen's voice was somewhat distracted and the girls noticed but did not comment. He didn't know what kind of evolution the system would undergo or how it would affect his future, but he knew that, like himself, the system would change.
Allen had breakfast in silence, and shortly after, the girls joined him. 2B only served Allen, and her position as any doll was no different from any of Allen's women, except for Makima, Esdeath, and the sleeping Wednesday, who had a punishment. Thus, they went to serve breakfast to the others.
Rebecca, Harley, Artoria, Nokotan, and even Bocchi joined in as well; they didn't need to eat, but it was a sad life not to.
Makima entered with a cart, placing each plate of waffles and pancakes in front of each girl. Bocchi turned pale when she saw Makima approaching.
Makima did nothing, but her gaze was terrifying for someone like Bocchi.
Bocchi turned into a slug when Makima approached, she was like a mouse hiding under a rock in the presence of an eagle.
"Bocchi-chan, don't worry; she is like a tiger in captivity; she won't hurt you~" Nokotan comforted her, helping her eat in her pink slug form.
Allen lightly observed Makima, but this time, she was not to blame; it was just Makima being Makima and Bocchi being Bocchi.
...
(I like the sound of it... Makima being Makima and Bocchi being Bocchi. 🍷🗿)
...
[Host...]
'I was already lonely without you...'
[I missed you too... *Cough* Host!]
'Is something wrong?'
[Yes, I feel different... everything feels different; it's hard to explain in words...]
'Are you okay?'
[I'm better than ever, that's for sure!*Cough* well, I'll proceed to explain the system changes simply...]
A screen opened up in front of Allen:
– First, goodbye to the times of waiting before returning to the original world.
Allen had to wait some time after entering a world before even thinking about going back; now it would no longer be necessary, and he could return instantly.
"That's great"
[I knew you would like it~]
– The host can now obtain fragments directly from individuals and not just from events.
When someone important to the world dies, it's like throwing a race full of money on the ground; however, Allen can now obtain several fragments from each individual by eliminating them.
Of course, compared to everything lost in events that will never happen or actions and consequences that he would never take since that person is no longer there, it's very little, but at least Allen will gain benefits if he decides to take someone out.
'Sis, if this had been active before the death of Homelander and Stan Edgar, how many fragments would we have obtained...?'
[Mmm, one is the main antagonist, and the other is the hidden boss, perhaps two hundred fragments each...]
'I see... what a shame...'
[Yes, but don't get depressed, there will be more opportunities!~.]
Allen smiled slightly, "That's for sure..."
– The currency convention is now active.
Allen doesn't usually use credits, as the things obtained through the system or bought in the shop aren't something he couldn't obtain or create himself. As a result, the system in this evolution is capable of converting credits and tickets into fragments. However, the conversion rate is still bad.
– Every million credits is one fragment.
– You need ten green chests for one fragment, each blue chest is one fragment, a purple chest is ten, a crimson one is a hundred, and an iridescent one is a thousand fragments.
Allen frowned with contempt...
At the beginning of this world, he had a debt of three hundred million; however, with how viral he has been in *The Boys*, that debt is practically about to disappear, but that only means they are earning money again.
'A miserable fragment for a million? Not even the IRS is that stingy!'
[Allen, I remind you that the currency convention is a new feature and is, therefore, still in the development stage... please wait for future updates...]
Allen leaned on the table, pondering for a moment. A thousand fragments for an iridescent chest...? It seems like a lot, but it depends on how much the next system update will cost.
[Ten thousand....]
Allen trembled upon hearing what the system said. Iridescent chests are so rare that he hasn't seen them in a long time; he has thirty crimson chests but only six iridescent ones, and he hasn't opened them yet.
'Sys, let me guess... the next evolution after that one will be ...'
[Most likely a hundred thousand...]
Allen breathed, controlling his emotions. The cost of each evolution would rise, but the benefits would too. It's true that the better the system is, the safer it is for Allen.
Allen is very powerful, but there are still entities above him. Stopping the system's evolution isn't an option; however, using the most valuable chests as currency isn't an option either. Allen began tapping the table with his fingers while sighing.
The girls had been watching him silently; they knew Allen should be speaking with his guardian angel.
Allen hadn't told anyone he had a system like this, but he did explain that there's an existence that always supports him in secret, like a fairy godmother or a guardian angel.
The system had already personally spoken to many of the girls, especially the dolls, who asked to hear her if allowed.
Although she isn't very accessible outside of Allen. How do they know that the system is more a she than a he? Well, her behavior gives her away; she tends to be jealous and gets angry if interrupted while with Allen. She's very protective of Allen, as she often warns each new doll not to try anything weird... and, well, her voice is feminine; that should be enough.
Allen was focused on the system and didn't notice the girls' gazes.
"Is that all?"
[No, there's more~]
– Now you can add entire worlds to the Chat.
The system used to seek out viewers with significant destinations and importance to grant them access to the Chat, allowing Allen to benefit as these spectators generated a lot of credits and tickets just by being present. However, there was also another reason the system didn't add entire worlds: it wasn't capable of doing so.
Now the system could grant access to anyone it wished on a massive scale.
"But ... It's not wise to do this in unfinished worlds"
[That's true; Harry Potter or DC have many unexplored aspects, and doing this would provide information to future enemies... however...]
The Boys, Marvel Zombies, and DC Zack Snyder have completed, are worlds with their antagonists dead and their futures at "peace"
"Yeah, I like it, do it once I leave..."
[Understood...]
Allen looked back at the screen to see the last new feature.
– You can enter a world as a part of it.
"Huh?!"
Allen's eyes widened at this new feature... He had spent ten years building a reputation and a name in Harry Potter so they could trust him enough to accept him as a professor at Hogwarts. If he had been something like Albus Dumbledore's grandson, everything would have been much easier.
Now Allen didn't have to be a stranger and start from scratch; this would prevent him from spending years preparing for everything. Instead, he could obtain an identity, a place, a purpose within the world.
– Warning: using this option may cause changes to the original story; keep that in mind.
"Of course..."
– Due to this being a new option, no conditions can be chosen when entering the world as part of it.
"I figured as much..."
Allen understood how amazing this feature was; after the chests, it might be the most valuable. Being the child of someone, the sibling of someone, the spouse of someone, the main villain, the hero, or even replacing the protagonist—canon would be altered for better or worse, depending on how Allen appeared in those worlds.
Allen opened his eyes...
...
The countdown was over and Allen stood in the middle of his living room.
[Starting synchronization...]
The system connected both worlds; by doing so, time-synchronized so that one day would be equivalent in both worlds. Allen only did this when he was sure he no longer needed to spend much time in a specific world.
Allen looked back at all the girls, including the Foster family, who would accompany him to learn about his world a little before returning to The Boys.
Allen smiled and walked towards the portal, it was a safe path for normal people, no need to suffer space-time storms.
...
At the Butcher household, Ryan was playing with his phone when he received a notification from a classmate. He had started attending school as an ordinary boy.
"Hey, you have to see this!!"
Ryan replied, "What's up, Sam?"
"There's something huge going on!!"
After reading the message, Ryan rushed to the television, turned it on, and turned up the volume. William and Becca, who were having breakfast, turned to look.
– "There has been a massive hacking incident on major news networks. It was thought to be an attack by some hacker group, but in the end, it was just a commercial announcing a new streaming platform called 'Destino'... Everyone thought it was a joke until they realized it existed." –
Butcher looked at his wife, equally confused.
– "The authorities determined that due to all the regulatory violations committed by that platform, it should be shut down... however, a few hours later, they realized that it could not be done... its indeterminate origin cannot be taken down, blocked, or restricted in any way... The biggest surprise is that there was only one channel on this platform... and that channel was..." –
...
(Marvel, Allen's apartment, New York.)
"Hey did you miss me?" said Allen with a smile as he returned to his world.
Allen returned to his world and was met by several girls who rushed toward him.
MJ was crying, just like Donna. Allen was surrounded by both DC and Marvel girls.
"I guess I shouldn't have asked if you missed me, haha."
Allen spent the rest of the day hugging, laughing, and crying, but also with a lot of warmth.
The girls from The Boys and the others quickly mingled, not surprisingly, as they had communicated with each other through the Chat and privately long before.
...
Allen had returned, but the world felt different as if a serpent was slithering beneath the ground. After all, the world didn't stop moving, even if it was slower.
(This happened a week ago in Marvel time.)
The stream ended, and many suited individuals took out their phones...
It had become almost a tradition at this point to hold a closed-door meeting to discuss the recent events.
In the meeting at the Capitol, with Congress members and Senators gathered, the loud voice of an angry man echoed in the thick walls.
"You have witnessed the disaster that walking nuclear bombs can cause!"
"Innocent people pay the price for a cowardly country; they have the guts to wage war on another continent but not to clean up our beloved country?!"
"Senator Kally, we've already discussed this; comparing the situation in 'The Boys' with our world is different."
"Of course, it's worse here!" Senator Robert Kally glared at everyone present, his brow furrowed. "In our world, controlling the birth of someone by raising them is not possible; we don't know if we can prevent the development of the X gene. We are doomed to not know if an Allen Walker will appear out of nowhere!"
Senator Robert Kally is a middle-aged man with a typical politician's appearance. Short gray hair, a well-groomed look, and a dark formal suit complemented by a red tie.
Senator Kally is an ambitious and charismatic politician who seeks to gain popularity through his anti-mutant rhetoric. He is often emotional and vehement in his speeches, using fear of mutants to mobilize his supporters. Although he presents himself as a defender of "public safety," his actions often reveal deep prejudice and a lack of understanding toward the mutant community. His desire to control mutants makes him a recurring antagonist for the X-Men.
"We must intervene; we really must intervene. The current mutants must be registered, controlled, and even isolated from the civilian population."
A Senator stood up, "That's ridiculous; many are innocent children!"
Senator Kally slammed the podium. "That's exactly why they're dangerous. Do you forget Sam Riordan? He suffered from schizophrenia; without Stanford Edgar's intervention, he would have been a deranged killer!"
The Speaker of the House interrupted Kally again, "Senator, please refrain from discussing situations outside our world for this session..."
"Yes," Senator Kally's tone lowered and calmed. "I only ask that you think of one thing: the world is changing, and soon you will be forced to kneel before 'that man.' We must act while we can to prevent the world from belonging to one person!"
The Senate President and current Vice President intervened, "And what do you suggest, Senator Kally?"
"I request permission to continue and refine the Sentinel program..."
A deafening silence fell over the room; that project had been shut down years ago due to its inhumanity in creating robots to hunt citizens because even if they were mutants, they were citizens.
In the silence, the Speaker of the House, an elderly man whose face was shrouded in shadows, spoke.
"He will return... and when he does, who will pay the price for something like this?"
The Senator didn't blink at the Speaker's question, his posture filled with confidence, conviction, and intense contained rage.
"When that time comes, you can blame me for everything!"
...
A man entered the bathroom, his face glistening with a drop of sweat that he quickly wiped off with water. His skin turned blue, and his transformation vanished.
Mystique had witnessed the entire meeting and could hardly believe the conclusion.
"I thought that with Allen's existence, there would be some way to have peace without conflict and leave this life," Mystique slammed her fist against the glass in anger and despair. "I must report this..."
Mystique put on her mask, both mentally and physically transforming into someone else, taking the information to those who needed to know.
...
Senator Kally left the Capitol, flying in a helicopter with his right-hand man, Henry Peter Gyrich.
"Henry, call our little genius and tell him he has the green light..."
"It's a pleasure, sir; finally, green light! All those monsters must be locked up forever."
Gyrich is a man of medium build with brown hair, often sporting a conservative hairstyle. His facial features are sharp, and he carries a serious or authoritative expression.
He is a pragmatic and calculating character who takes his work very seriously. Gyrich is known for his bureaucratic and sometimes cynical approach to superheroes and mutants. He often shows a willingness to take drastic measures to control mutants, revealing his lack of empathy. His desire to exert power and control makes him a frequent antagonist for the X-Men, as he firmly believes that mutants are a threat that must be regulated and monitored.
Both were major antagonists who had joined forces; they had no other choice given Allen Walker's existence as the most dangerous mutant known.
...
(The next day)
Kally and Gyrich arrived at a white building on an isolated island; it was a secret facility near New York.
As they entered through a large security door, they were greeted by flying drones, spherical with robotic arms—designs that should not allow them to fly, but against the logic, they did and even guided both men to a laboratory.
When the door opened, a young man was listening to music while typing at great speed on a holographic computer.
Senator Kally, who always maintained a cold demeanor, smiled warmly as if seeing his grandson. "Reed..."
Gyrich was more distrustful and simply remained silent.
"Oh? What's up, Uncle Robert?"
A young man with a simple look and a slight smile turned his chair while stopping his work.
"I see everything is going well..." Kally's smile widened as he looked at the metal colossus behind Reed Richards.
"Don't worry, man, I improved the design, made them adaptable to mutant powers; they have self-repair capabilities, and I created a synthetic material ninety percent similar to adamantium. They should be very useful..."
Kally almost wanted to hug young Reed who had done everything he asked with the Sentinels.
"Young Richard," Gyrich stepped forward, "I hope they can't be controlled by that green-haired girl."
Reed raised an eyebrow as he sneered, "You mean the girl who stole the technology from my zombie version?..."
The colossal sentinel's eyes lit up as Reed made a soda can with a portable teleporter appear at his hand to then drink.
"Heh, I'd like to see her try it..." Reed smiled.
How terrifying it sounded... the Sentinels were already one of the greatest mutant threats, being able to even defeat them on more than one occasion... now Sentinels, created by the smartest man in Marvel at present, Reed Richard, looked like a nightmare... And they were only the initial prototypes...
