Chapter 30

Today was the third time I had been able to move without the restraints of the gravity weights and as always, I was still behind. After a while, I saw Mebuki stop. I got to her and noticed she stood in front of two trees that looked similar to the ones we saw at Uzumaki Ken's. She nodded and motioned for me to follow.

Just like before, I stepped wherever she stepped. After about thirty to forty-five minutes we came across a beautiful scene. The place was like the perfect resort. Various mountains with a large waterfall that flowed into a beautiful clear lake. Stretches of tall trees with the occasional howling and roaring of chakra beasts. By the edge of the lake was a large yet simple looking house.

I was absolutely captivated by the place.

"I had the same look as you the first time I came here as well." Mebuki looked out and reminisced as she continued, "I know you have a lot of questions. I can only explain things to you after you get strong enough." I would be lying if I said I was not interested to know who she really was. But after a while I figure, well, Meh! It did not really matter to me anymore.

I shook my head and spoke without breaking contact with the scenery in front of me, "I did have some questions at first but not anymore. Everyone has their pasts. It does not change the fact that you are my mother. Neither does it change the fact that I want to get stronger. You definitely have your reasons for retiring and it does not matter. All that matters to me is…" I finally looked at her and continued, "…if anyone threatens you, then I'll rip them apart. Honestly, I don't care about the village. I only care about you two. Well, four, since we decided to add Aoi and Kouki to the family." Ah. Such cringe. Such beautiful, beautiful cringe.

I looked away from her after I was done speaking. Of course, I had a reason for letting her know such things. For the plans I had in mind, I would definitely do some crazy things against the village and others so it was better for her to know right now that I only cared about them just in case she decided to come after me with a 'she is my daughter and I will be the one to finish her' vendetta.

I may have put on a brave front but the inner me was shaking like crazy at that moment. Then, I saw her smile warmly in the corner of my eye. I released a breath I did not even know I was holding. This was good for me. It would help if this psycho was not on my tail when it was time to set my plans in motion.

"Okay then, let us begin. First things first." She spoke and pulled out a few pieces of papers. I already knew what they were but had to act interested.

"These are chakra induction papers. They are used to check the nature of your chakra. Run your chakra through so we can find out your chakra nature." She handed one to me, and explained how to determine the type of nature depending on what happens to the paper.

Paper would burn if chakra was fire, soggy if water, crumble if earth, rip if wind and finally, wrinkle if lightning. There were of course other natures but the paper was apparently made to test the basic elements. I run my chakra through the paper and waited for the results with her.

'Of course, I already know which natures I was. First, yep, water. Then earth. It seems tha—' My thoughts froze when I saw what happened to the paper next.

It wrinkled.

I frowned. 'I certainly know Sakura only has 4 natures; the basic water and earth, with yin and yang. If so where from the lightning? Was it as a result of the transmigration? Did it come from the original me instead? *sigh*' There was no use thinking about the origin of it. It just meant I had more work to do. How frustrating.

First off, there were no proper lightning element users in the village. Forget Kakashi, he may be lighting nature but to me he was not a true lightning element nature user like those of the cloud village. Regardless, he really was a genius for creating the raikiri and its variations at such a young age.

I could go the same lane as Sasuke, with the Chidori all the way down to the same nature transformations but I had no intentions. Such an element, even if the village did not have jutsus on it, I had so many ideas running through my mind. Thinking about them made me smile wide without knowing.

"Your bad habit is showing again." Mebuki woke me from my thoughts

"You have my water and earth nature as well. I was banking on it and that is why I brought these." She pulled out a storage scroll and poured out about ten scrolls.

"There are a few copies of all the powerful water jutsus I acquired through my journeys, as well as a few earth jutsus. I will not help you with them. That, you would have to do on your own." I had a quick glance through before storing them all back into the scroll.

"What I will teach you is proper taijutsu and kenjutsu as well as battle instincts and tactics." She pointed at the forest at the back and spoke.

"In the mornings you will run through the forests and survive the chakra beasts. That will be your food. Be careful, the deeper you go, the stronger the beasts you will encounter." She looked sternly at me and warned.

"In the afternoons you will return here for your taijutsu and kenjutsu trainings. We will finish off with a spar in the evening before you retire for your lessons. Whatever you decide to do with the remaining time is up to you. Don't forget, you still owe me ten hours of training and I intend to collect". She said before leaving to the house. Not at all minding my wide eyes and mouth.

'What the hell does she mean remaining time? Which remaining time? How many hours does she think is in a day?' Ah this woman was definitely crazy. She seemed to keep forgetting I AM ONLY ELEVEN YEARS!

"Oh, before I forget…" She stopped and turned to me

"There is more?"

"…You will take a mission from me every three months. This will not change even after we return to Konoha." She walked into the house right after she was done.

We finally settled everything into the house and it did not take too long. The house was large and simple yet it seemed to have everything we would need. It was three bedrooms and even had a hot spring in the back yard to relax in. What I was most interested in was the laboratory stocked with books, and herb garden at the side of the house. With this, my medical ninjutsu as well as my poison research should progress smoothly.
