The Mortal Limit

(BRT= Black Ring Time)

"To complete the first step, you'll have to comprehend the intent of a weapon. As of now, you have used your hands or the sword, so I advise you to deeper your mastery of your sword past the level of Advance mastery." Saber's golden-haired master said.

"After Advanced mastery, there is Extreme mastery and then Limit mastery. Thereafter, you'll have to transcend the level of Limit and unlock sword intent. What I'm saying is, you're not reaching the Immortal realms any time soon." He said, pouring cold water on Saber's plans.

"How can we just leave that bastard there!" A high-pitched female voice resounded in a room where five figures sat around a table. The female had long dark hair and a pair of big round eyes that had a bright red light sometimes shimmering in them.

"What do you mean how? He had the supreme masters hostage, and we all know they are weak. If that alien had chosen to kill our masters, would we be able to stop him in time?!" Another female said. She had shoulder-length blonde hair and a beautiful appearance as well. Her eyes flickered with a silvery hue at times.

"Don't worry, I have my eyes observing the masters and their mansion. As long as there is a whisk of killing intent, I'll immediately teleport and stop whatever is taking place." The final female of the five figures commented. She had waist-length blue hair and her eyes lit up momentarily with bright gold light.

"Okay, since the safety of the great masters is already confirmed, we now need to find a way to get rid of the creature when we enter space." A dark voice resounded in their ears, revealing what Saber had requested of them. The one responsible was Borden's friend. He had short black hair split in the middle and a pair of dark eyes.

"But, isn't he our only way to destroy the gates of hell?" The final member of the group asked. He had delicate features with fluffy brown hair and long eyelashes.

"Even if he can destroy the gates of hell, there is no guarantee when he gains a satisfactory strength, by that time he may well be able to kill us! This is why I think it's better to kill him in space." Borden's friend said as he then quickly followed up.

"So, prepare your weapons and your secret treasures that I'm sure you people hid away for millions of years. Because we may need to pull out all of our trump cards to beat this abomination."

"They probably are going to use all sorts of treasures that they may have found throughout the parts of this Solar System that they may have already explored." Saber said to his master. Both leaned their backs against each other as they lazed around. Of course, all of the other Saber's continuously trained persistently as they needed to raise their strength in a week.

"Why don't you try to unlock more transformations from your bloodline. Like your star, I am not exactly sure how your race works but, as the strongest race, I'm sure there are more transformations than simply that left eyes thing. Plus, did you not kill so many evil souls in the dungeon, why don't you quicken your bloodline process...?" Saber's master said, but Saber only replied with a monotone voice.

"Well, this can't work since my body isn't strong enough to take in more power from those transformations. Even my left eye isn't in its most powerful state since I'll simply end up like a skeleton."

Saber said as he couldn't help but remember that time in the beast world when he turned into a skeleton...

"And, Kill points...I need so many Kill points to simply raise the percentage by one." Saber said, as he then ordered his now fully robotic system to show him his stats.

"I do not have anywhere near enough Kill points to get a substantial increase in strength." Saber said. And even though the contents of the words he spoke were a disappointment, he did not have an angry, or annoyed expression as it remained neutral as always...

"Hmm, well I w-" As Saber's master was about to follow up on Saber's situation, he was cut short because...

"Shh, don't talk Goldy... It seems that a few of my other selves have run into something interesting." Saber said before he disappeared into the tower, leaving a stunned master as he repeated in confusion.

"G-Goldy?!...Did he just call me Goldy...?" Goldy said in disbelief...He then instinctively followed behind his disciple into the tower as he mumbled the new name he had gotten with disbelief still clear in his eyes.

"Hmm...?" Saber hummed as he appeared in front of a group of five look-alikes of himself. They all opened their eyes as the surrounding Sabers converged, creating a picture of almost 30 Sabers gazing at the five Sabers sitting in the middle.

The mini crowd parted ways as two Sabers suddenly appeared. These two seemed to be some sort of leaders as one can see from the scar running across the center of their faces that these two were once the original Saber. It was a scar that was slowly healing though, and in a few weeks (BRT), no one would be able to know who the original was.

"There is some sort of unbreakable barrier present in the pathway." The Sabers who were sitting in the middle of the crowd all said in unison, causing all the rest of the Sabers to close their eyes and enter the pathway where they saw every one of themselves standing in front of a barrier that prevented them from walking forward.

"Huh?!!...

It seems that you have somehow reached the limit of mortal comprehension in an element!..." Goldy's voice entered all of the Sabers' ears. Though he did not appear in front of them, they were still able to hear his voice.

"Why do I think this has something to do with one of the steps?..." Saber said to his master as his consciousness descended into his body. Goldy smirked when hearing this as he then said to Saber.

"That's because this does have something to do with the steps. Out of all the steps, this one relies on the comprehension of the mortal.

To think that you could reach such a high level of comprehension in your element in such a short period. Since the element you are comprehending is Chaos, I thought this would take you multiple years...

I thought that you'll be able to firstly reach the level of Sword Intent before you can begin aiming for your elemental limits." Goldy said.

Thereafter Saber asked. "I think this is the doing of devouring the evil souls of hell. After devouring millions, my comprehension skyrocketed."

"Hmm, this is logical. Yeah, it wouldn't make sense otherwise." Goldy replied.

"So, how do I surpass this barrier anyway?" With interest and also a little bit of expectation in his eyes, Saber asked. Saber's words caused Goldy to suddenly stifle his laughter as he said.

"Surpass...the...barrier...Haha, a mortal can't possibly do such a thing. Do you not know what will happen if your current 0.9% comprehension of Primordial Chaos becomes 1.0%?" He asked.
