Earth Immortal Freak (9)

Blood dripped from the sharp edge of Oblivion's blade as he stood on top of a headless corpse, the headless corpse of a Profound Immortal who still didn't understand how she had died. Oblivion had a calm expression but, in his eyes, one could see the excitement.

'My strength keeps rising without end. With every slash and once a head falls, I could feel my comprehension rise more and more. My strength is almost twice as much compared to before I met these guys.'

Oblivion pondered as he hopped off of a headless body, landing back on the ground. His eyes met with the eyes of the three most important figures. Luard, Ariel, and the young man without a weapon each stared at him with visible caution.

Rumble!

Suddenly, the surrounding winds churned and the ground shook wildly, like an earthquake. The young man's eyes flashed with a mysterious gleam as his body blurred, rushing toward Oblivion.

Hong! Long! Long!

At this time, the earth under Oblivion's feet vibrated, and something from under shot out. It was several tree roots that connected to the nearby trees.

But, contrary to what the young man thought, they didn't wrap around Oblivion, holding him in place, instead, they were instantly pulverized into white particles.

As if they had met some type of barrier, once hitting this barrier, they were instantly turned into oblivion by a mysterious force. Luard's face darkened when seeing this.

"You three have nowhere to go. Any trick you've got, you may as well not bother using it, lest you give yourself false hope... The pain of falling into the depths of hell from high heaven isn't a sensation you'll like!"

Oblivion taunted them but, his words were true. He had long formed a Domain using his mysterious element.

Under his negation that had been amplified to incredible degrees from this Domain, plus the deaths of the Profound Immortals, the current negation could counter anything a Pseudo Golden Immortal had to offer.

In fact, even without the deaths of the Profound Immortals, the negation was powerful enough to even affect the thoughts of the people inside his Domain.

Though it was to a lesser effect in the face of the two Pseudo Golden Immortals, the Profound Immortals were truly affected, being unable to even think about moving their bodies when Oblivion had previously attacked them.

Staring down the three remaining survivors, with the strength after killing several Profound Immortals, Oblivion had immense confidence that, he'd be able to finish the battle in a short amount of time.

Xiu!

Oblivion's figure turned illusionary. As soon as it disappeared, he had already reappeared in front of Ariel as he slashed downward. His sword ate away at the distance between the two.

Bang!

Once more, Luard intercepted the sword's path with his staff. At that moment, it seemed as if his staff defied common laws as it wrapped around Oblivion's blade before shooting toward his face.

Right behind Oblivion's figure was the young man who sent a kick toward Oblivion's neck. The duo had seamlessly surrounded Oblivion, giving him no room to dodge.

But, even in such a situation, Oblivion remained as calm as ever. His eyes contained traces of indifference as he used minimal movements to tilt his head, dodging the staff by mere inches while also ducking under the incoming kick.

Momentarily letting go of the hilt, Oblivion swept away the left leg of the young man, throwing him off balance before using his one right leg as support to jump into the air, doing a backflip over the bodies of Luard and Ariel.

{Sword of Annihilation}

Still in the skies, mid backflip, Oblivion sent a sword slash toward the two figures. A gleam of light escaped his sword and rushed toward the figure of two. Reacting almost instantaneously, Luard swiped his staff, causing a gust of wind to collide with the stream of white light.

This white light was completely unbothered by such a gust of wind, ripping it apart in an instant as it rushed toward Ariel and Luard who protected Ariel.

Hah!

Grunting slightly, Luard's staff collided with the sword light. Veins appeared all over his burly body that was protected by silver armor. At the same time, the young man who was swept off the floor was upside down.

He was also an Immortal cultivator, losing balance would affect him for a mere fraction of a fraction of a second. Remaining upside down, he sent multiple punches toward Oblivion. The force was soo powerful that the airwaves traveled toward Oblivion, even causing him to need to reflect it with his sword.

Even when this took place, the airwaves which were capable of ripping apart a Profound Immortal didn't affect Ariel whatsoever, as if it was perfectly controlled by the black-haired young man.

At this time, Ariel didn't remain useless either, the ring on her finger lit up, and shooting out of it was a long spear. Willing it, the spear had appeared in the hands of the young man, bringing a smirk to his face.

Zzzz!

The blue spear released crackles of lightning sounds as Oblivion's expression froze. In that instant, he spared no effort in rushing toward Ariel. Out of them all, he previously thought she would be the least troublesome but...

'That spear! It radiates a dangerous feeling..!' Oblivion's thoughts buzzed. If the woman Ariel had more of such treasures, things would definitely become troublesome.

Hong!

But, blocking Oblivion's path was a sharp blue head of the spear. The thing was centimeters away from his nose. The young man had a wide grin on his face when he stretched out his hand and the spear had five meters of distance and reached Oblivion's path.

While Luard still troubled himself with the Sword of Annihilation stream, Oblivion wasn't going to let this opportunity slide. Ducking under the spear's head, Oblivion's speed didn't hinder whatsoever, giving the young man with the spear a great shock.

Ariel was unable to follow the movements at all, so she still hadn't realized anything that took place after the appearance of the spear treasure...

Fwoosh!

Oblivion's sword parted the winds as it hacked away at the wind, rushing towards Ariel's neck. In an instant, completely outside of Ariel's realm of comprehension, the sharp blade made contact with Ariel's skin, tiering it apart but...

Before it could truly bring her a threat to her life, the head of the spear in the young man's hand rushed toward Oblivion's neck.

Unknowingly, the young man had played right into Oblivion's trap. The moment the young man realized that Ariel was on a path to instant death, he swung the spear with all his might, hoping to catch up to the speed of Oblivion's swing.

At that moment, Oblivion dodged right before the spear could connect yet, even after realizing this and trying to pull it back, the most change that occurred was, Ariel's head wasn't cleanly sliced off, instead, due to the young man pulling back, Ariel's throat was slit..!

As if it was a mouth, the throat split open revealing a wide hole. Blood gushed out as the young man's mind momentarily short-circuited. With the energy contained in that attack, even the slightest of grazes was enough to decimate a Profound Immortal's inside...

It was obvious what happened next. Ariel's body was destroyed from the inside. The lightning energy from the spear rushed into her body and destroyed her internal organs in an instant!

Ah!

The young man's face froze. Immediately, the image of the city lord appeared. Fear overtook him at that moment... A moment was enough for Oblivion..!
