Nathan wasn't even surprised after all; this was a very logical response, if you sent your invincible army against some mortal planet and then you suddenly find out that your army was getting decked.

You would send all your real troops and come to see why, because it may be that your rival is on the planet.

Darkseid would think that the New Gods of New Genesis were here defending the planet from them, so it made sense that he sent his top men here.

"What?!!" The entire team asked shocked by his sudden change in behaviour

Amongst them, Nathan had been the only one who seemed to take the invasion less seriously, He came and said he will take care of the Parademon and within the next hour, the parademons were gone. In his return, he came off as carefree but now he was suddenly ordering the evacuation of the entirety of America.

As soon as the Sentries landed beside him, he immediately pointed towards the Flash and Batman, much to the confusion of the entire group.

As soon as he did so, the two sentries immediately dashed off in their direction. Reaching Batman first, the sentry immediately opened up as it wrapped itself around him, forming a suit of armor around the powerless man.

[Flash, it is for armor, you can stop running] Nathan said so that Flash would stop evading the Sentry

"This feels different... What is this?" Batman asked as he checked out his new suit, which was basically a skintight version of his already cool batman costume but without the cape

[95% of the beings up there, have strength greater than Superman, your tactical mind is needed for us to defeat them, and Flash may be fast but not faster that guy's lasers] Nathan said in a rush while pointing at Darkseid

It may come as a shock to all but in reality, no matter how the dumbass writers at DC try to Wank Superman's strength, he would never be stronger than Darkseid.

Yes, Superman's strength is always improving but no matter how much you improve, you can never surpass infinity.

Darkseid's character possessed Absolute strength and mixed with a whole lot of other powers that were just on a whole different level.

In fact, in Nathan's opinion, the entire concept of True form Darkseid wasn't needed because he was already powerful enough and that was when he wasn't using the other powers available to him.

As for flash, it was simply because Darkseid's omega beams can do everything he can do with even more ease, it can travel through time, travel way faster than light and above all, it will always track you even when he isn't using it anymore.
