Today, Viktor was sitting at a table in the Clinic reading the newspaper. It was a weekend, so Emma was with him, helping him settle patients.
Though she didn't like the little Devil, patients were different. This was her husband's livelihood! She couldn't ruin it for him. So she was exceptionally warm.
Viktor was exceptionally happy! His wife was so good to him, what more could he ask for?!
In addition to Emma, Little Devil was also here!
He was sitting next to Viktor, feeling a book.
Yes, feeling.
The Little Devil's name is Matt Murdock. He's actually a blind lawyer. He came to the Clinic to offer his services as a lawyer to Viktor and his wife. Viktor, naturally, agreed happily and Matt bluffed him, saying that he had a trial period for all his clients.
The trial period was completely free.
He never said when the trial period ended or the charges afterwards. Only saying that it was regular for all his clients.
Viktor rolled his eyes in his heart. This little Devil is trying to pull the wool over his eyes! But Viktor was thankful and didn't expose him.
And so, the little Devil was now Viktor's lawyer.
They did all the paperwork and everything…
Viktor was reading the newspaper and an article caught his attention!
'Tony Stark missing!'
It detailed how Tony's missile sale hit a bumpy road in Afghanistan and Tony Stark went missing during the chaos. It even said that he had been gone for a week now!
Viktor pursed his lips and thought to himself that Tony should be creating the Arc Reactor right now, right?
Just as he was thinking, a woman rushed in with a little boy and shouted quickly "Please help, my nephew! He suddenly fainted! It's been 3 hours!" Matt turned to the woman and Viktor stood up seriously, walking over and saying "Hello, Madam. I'm the Physician here, please hand your nephew to me."
The woman was hysterical and cried "Please help him!" Viktor took the boy and gave Emma a look before going to one of the rooms as Emma comforted the woman, telling her that everything was going to be alright.
The woman cried and Emma told her simply "As long as he isn't dead, my husband will surely save him." Matt pursed his lips in contemplation.
He didn't refute.
Hey, he was riddled with bullets like swiss cheese and he walked out of here the next day completely fine!
He almost thought it was a miracle…
The woman cried and spoke out her heart, saying "I don't know what to do! My brother and his wife are gone and my nephew is the only piece of them I have left! If he's gone, I don't know what I would do!"
Emma hugged her, rubbing her back and subtly using her psychic powers to soothe the woman. After all, she was currently hysterical. It was bad for business…
Matt was startled. This woman was good at comforting people! This is the 3rd person!
He sighed to himself secretly, envious that his good friend had such a good wife.
When will he have a good wife like this?!
Meanwhile
Viktor placed the boy's body on a table and closed the door before unleashing his ROOM.
He scanned the little boy's body with his powers and quickly found the problem. Turns out he had a little water in his lungs. It wasn't too serious at the moment but could cause a variety of issues later in life.
The professional measurement is 1 millimeter for every kilogram the person weighs.
The little boy here only had a few drops at most.
It would take a big sip or 1/8th of a cup of water to kill him in seconds.
Although these little drops could cause Asthma and a variety of health issues.
Viper chopped with his hand and separated the body in 2 parts. He waved his hand and the little water droplets flew out of the boy's body, into a vial. Viper waved again and separated the boy once more, fixing a few hidden problems before putting him back together.
He pressed on the Boy's neck and a little green electricity jolted the boy. The Boy sat up abruptly and looked around in confusion, turning to Viktor and asking timidly "Wh-Where am I?"
Viktor smiled kindly and said "Heaven!" The boy's face paled and he nearly fainted again! Viktor picked him up and walked out of the room with the vial in his hand.
The woman, who was soothed, saw the boy in Viktor's arms. She jumped up and ran over, holding the boy's face and crying "Thank god! Thank god you're okay!" Viktor put the boy down and the woman thanked Viktor profusely.
Viktor waved his hand, smiling "Don't mention it. It was a simple wave of the hand." he waved at Emma and she smiled, bringing over a jar of lollipops.
She squatted in front of the boy and smiled gently "Would you like a lollipop, little one?" The boy's eyes lit up and he looked at the woman, who nodded with a smile. The boy asked nervously "C-Can I take two?"
Emma's gaze was as soft as water and she rubbed his head, nodding with a smile.
Viktor looked at the two and severe envy glew in his eyes as he looked at the boy. He finally sighed and looked at the woman, who was smiling knowingly.
Viktor was a bit embarrassed and rubbed his nose awkwardly. He stretched out his hand and smiled "Viktor Gardens, I would like to talk to you about your nephew's sudden fainting."
The woman shook his hand and said "May Parker." She suddenly looked anxious and asked quickly "Is there something wrong?!" Viktor's eyes widened for a split second and he closed them shaking his head with a smile.
He got over his shock and shook his head, taking out the tiny vial. It was half filled with crystal clear water.
Viktor smiled gently, explaining "This is the culprit for his sudden fainting. A few more drops and perhaps his little life would be gone. For children it's better to monitor them around water more attentively because a small amount of it could kill them. Miss. Parker, I'm not admonishing you but this was a very close call."
Viktor handed her the vial and added "Don't blame yourself too much, children inhale water, juice, etc. accidentally quite often. The body's response is to cough it back up and clear the danger, for some reason or another, your nephew didn't respond in time. There was also a few more issues that I settled ahead of time."
May nodded seriously and replied gratefully, "Thank you, Doctor Gardens. I will remember for sure." Viktor turned to the boy, who was playing with Emma on the side, and smiled enviously "Make sure you take care of this boy. Not everyone has a chance to raise children…"
May touched her lips and said "I will, Thank you, Doctor… If you don't mind me asking, are you having trouble?" Viktor looked startled but shook his head with a smile, replying "Not physical problems, just very tough…" he chuckled and shook his head, not wanting to continue talking.
May understood and stopped speaking, she suddenly slapped her forehead and said "How much is this gonna cost?" Now that she thought about it, wasn't this too fast?
Viktor saw her suspicions and gave her the usual excuse "We have a partnership with Stark Industries. They stretched into Medical Equipment, looking for faster treatments. It's government certified and every patient subjected to the treatment is covered by the government."
He smiled and waved his hand, adding "It's completely free for today." May gasped, "Government approved Stark Technology?!" Viktor nodded with a smile, replying "The faster we treat patients, the more patients we can treat. It's on this principle that the Government is compensating patients who are subjected to this method."
May nodded and asked worriedly "There won't be any problems will there?" Viktor shook his head and smiled "No. He is completely cured. If anything else pops up, please come back. You have my guarantee."
May let the weight in her heart go and smiled, holding his hand as she said "Thank you so much, Doctor Gardens! Really, I don't know how to thank you enough!" Viktor laughed and made a bad joke, "Take a lot of risks and bring me more business! Hahahah~"
May and Matt's lips twitched…
Matt nearly rubbed his forehead, this guy and his bad jokes…
May just laughed it off and took the boy with her, leaving the Clinic. The boy thanked him on the way out and made Viktor smile. Emma stared at the closed door in a daze for a few moments before shaking her head with a sad smile.
Viktor squeezed her hand and she forced a smile, going behind the counter and sitting alone. He sighed and sat back down, reading the newspaper once more.
Another slow day…
