Chapter 8

When I woke up I was already leaning on Black's shoulder but I'm still too sleepy to get up that's why I decided to close my eyes again to continue sleeping. Besides, his shoulder is really comfortable.

The moon shines bright in the sky surrounding by beautiful stars, a perfect night for stargazing outside. It's really peaceful night where all you can hear is some cicadas from the trees near us. Midnight broke the silence and surprised me with his words.

"I like you" he confessed that made me smile.

"I like you too" I said without looking at him. I felt his eyes towards me that's why I looked back at him. He's just staring at me in awe that made me chuckle.

"why are you looking at me like that?" I said while chuckling and looked at the stars again.

"y-you like m-me too?" he ask and sat beside me, still staring at me like he's asking if he was dreaming.

"yes" I said and laugh at his reaction. I pinched his cheeks hard that made him flinched.

"shit" he cursed and pulled his hair.

"I thought you liked Seb" he murmured while pouting like a kid and shook his head.

"We are just friends. How many times do I have to tell you that?" I said and held his cheeks to make him look at my eyes.

"alright I'm sorry. It's just that the way you stare at him is full of love" he said and kissed the back of my hands.

"'cause he is my bestfriend" I said and chuckled at his cute jealous face.

"wanna go out with me tomorrow?" he said and offered me his hands.

I gladly accepted it and held his hands tightly while smiling at him. "Sure"

I woke up when I felt someone caressing my cheeks. When I opened my eyes I saw Black staring at me intently while wiping my tears.

"s-sorry" I said and gently pushes his hands away from me.

"do you usually cry when you sleep?" he asked and put distance between us..

"yes, but I'm okay" I said and sighed.

"you drank too much coffee" he said and pointed at the coffee cans beside me.

"when I'm stressed, I crave for coffee because It helps me to relax"

When I looked at my phone, I saw that it's already four in the afternoon.

"you didn't have to go all the way here, you still have work later, I'm sorry if I disturbed you"

"it's alright. I haven't used my vacation leaves yet so I decided to use it now. You needed someone to talk too so here I am. What are friends are for right?" he said and smiled. Friends? Yes he's my friend now but I know that he'll leave me anyway.

"I'm s-sorry" I said and sighed.

"if you are really sorry then tour me here in Vaduz" he said and chuckled.

"right now?" I asked because I already booked our ticket to Kunstmuseum for the day after tomorrow. "but I already have a ticket for Kunstmuseum for this weekend."

"then let's go somewhere else. I'm sure that there are many beautiful places here. Don't decline, my arms hurt, you slept on my shoulders for like 2 to three hours"

"alright, come on. Let's go to Vaduz Castle" I said and grab my things and throw the cans at the garbage bin near us.

"how old are you when you became a writer?" he asked while we are walking down the mountain.

"it's been 2 years so probably 27?"

"but you are already that good?"

"I'm not that good, I'm still learning and improving" I said and chuckled.

"but I bought your book yesterday, the 'Tomorrow' and it was good. I even didn't notice that I'm halfway in finishing it. It's really exciting, every plot twist made my mind blown." He said and shook his head.

"you really bought my book? Why didn't you just tell me that you are interested, I should've just given you the extra copy I have at home?"

"It's fine. It's my way of supporting you, but can you sign it?" he said and scratch the back of his head.

"of course, just bring it on Saturday when we meet up"

"I'm really amazed on how you can came up with such story. Full of emotions, and it's just perfect" he said that made me blush. I'm still not used of people praising my works.

"stop it" I said while trying to suppress my smile. I'm really shy when people start to praise me and my works.

"why? I'm just telling the truth. You are working on with your next book right? Please let me be the first one to know when you will release it, I know that it'll be great hit 'cause it's obvious that you put so much effort into it"

"let's stop talking about me, let's talk about you. You already knew some things about me but I still don't know you"

"well, I'm not that interesting kind of man. I'm a call centre at night and I sleep in the day. There's nothing much going in my life." He said and chuckled.

"i guess, you have long patience."

"of course, that's the number one thing we should have as a call centre."

"I'm really amazed on how call centres handle each call with so much calmness and without panicking. If I were you I will just shout back at the costumers who's short tempered and curse at them to shut the f up" I said that made him burst into laughter.

"your boss will scold you if you will do that, or worst he'll fire you with that attitude" he said in between his laughter.

"so what? No one deserves to be shout at while doing their work." I said stare at him who's still laughing hard.

"why are you laughing at me like that? Do I look like a clown?" I asked and raised my eyebrow at him.

"nope. It's just that you look funny while expressing your feelings towards rude costumers." He said still trying his best to stop himself from laughing so much. I just let him laugh until he hiccupped that made me burst into laughter.

"we are here" I said and looked at the Vaduz Castle from afar.

"It's beautiful." He said while he can't remove his eyes from the beautiful castle infront of us.

"you wanna take a pic?" I asked him.

"yes please" he said and handed me his phone.

"smile" i said and took a picture of him.

"let's take a pic together" he said and pulled me to his side and snatched his phone away from me.

"wacky" he said and tuck out his tongue at the camera so I did the same. We took pictures together and when we looked at it, we both burst into laughter because we look silly in every picture we took.

We sat at the bench near us and stare at the castle.

"I always wonder what it feels like to live in a castle." He said all of a sudden.

"why? Do you want to become a prince?"

"nope, I'm just curious. I know that being a prince or even just a part of as royal family holds a lot and heavy responsibilities and burden. You can't move around freely, you can't have a normal and private life. Everything about you will soon be found by the people who idolize you and the people who hates you and want to take everything you have." He said while staring at the castle infront of us.

"but you will have more privilege than other people."

"I don't want that, I just want a normal life where you will be treated the same as how people treat others. I'm just curious on what's behind that wall but I'm not that foolish to dream about living there and hold the burden of the whole Liechtenstein in my back" he said and shook his head.

"you sure have unique mindset than other people. Most of the people who knows about royal families dream of becoming one"

"I just have my own principles that I really hold on to" he said and smiled at me.

"I'm glad that you are different from other people who I met" I said and smiled at him.

Later on I heard my phone rang and when I grab it I saw my dad's number in the screen.

"excuse me, I need to answer this cal" I said to Black and walked away from the bench.

"hey dad."

"sweetie where are you? We are on your condo unit, we wanted to surprise you but we've been waiting here for two hours already so I decided to call you without your mom knowing. Please come home and act surprised." He said while whispering, afraid that my mom would hear him telling me about their surprise.

"alright dad, I'll be there in an hour or so. I love you, bye" I said and waited for him to hang up. I walked back to Black who's absentmindedly staring at the Castle.

"I'm sorry but I need to go home. You can stay here if you want" I said and grab my purse.

"no, let's go home together." He said and smiled at me so I just smiled back.

I'm really thankful to Black, I know that he just invited me to come with him to make me happy. I don't know what's up with him but I'm really comfortable around him like I've known him for years.
