Chapter 9

"So see you on Saturday?" he asked when we got infront of my unit.

"Yes, what time do you prefer?"

"Just text me what time you are free then I'll pick you up. I already booked us at a restaurant near Kuntsmuseum. We can eat there at lunch or in the evening."

"alright, I'll text you the time. Thank you for staying by my side a while ago. It means so much to me" I said and smiled at me which he returned instantly.

"don't mention it. Go, your parents are probably waiting for you for awhile now." he said and pushed me towards the door.

"bye" I said and waved at him. He waved back and walked towards his unit. I waited for him to reach his door before going inside but before I can even get to hold the door knob, it already opened. Dad is smiling from ear to ear and welcomed me with a hug.

"who's that?" he whispered.

"who's who?" I asked.

"who are you smiling to?" he asked and tried to take a peak outside but I pushed him inside.

" no one dad" I said and closed the door.

"sweetie" my mother excitedly rushed towards me. She is still wearing my apron so I guess she's cooking in my kitchen.

" mom, I missed you" I said and hugged her tight.

"I missed you too. Your pantry is empty, and your fridge only has water. Do you even eat? You lose weight" she said and looked at me worriedly.

"mom, i usually eat outside. I don' have time to cook for myself but I'm eating, promise" I said and raised my right hand.

"I told you you can leave with us again" she said and brushed y hair.

"mom, I want to be independent. Besides i'm already 29 years old, you don't have to look after me. you should enjoy your time traveling around the world." I said and hugged her waist.

"Even though you're already 29, you are still our baby. Anyway, I already fill your pantry and fridge with groceries and I cooked you favourite let's go and eat before it gets cold" she said and guided me towards the kitchen while dad is just following us.

"will you guys sleep here tonight?" I asked and filled their glasses.

"yes, let's have a movie night" dad said excitedly that made me and mom chuckled.

"should we order some pizza?" I recommended even though we are already eating pasta. It's my dad's favourite part when we are having a movie night.

"of course" dad said still munching his food.

Our dinner went well. Our laughter filled the dining room because of dad's silly antics that never failed to make mom and I happy. My dad is really a jolly, bubbly person while my mom is the silent type of woman. She will just open her mouth and talk if it's necessary. It really puzzled me how they ended up together.

"you sould've come with us sweetie. We really had an amazing vacation but it's even better if you are there with us. The tour is tiring but relaxing at the same time. The view is really amazing. When they dropped us off at Paris, my jaw literally dropped. It's a really cool place. There are so many handsome men but I'm not afraid 'cause I know that I'm more handsome than them." He said and faced my mom who's just watching the movie. "right hon?" he asked and my mom just nodded that made my dad's smile bigger.

"we went to different wineries there. And I actually put one bottle in you room" he whispered it in my ears that made me chuckle.

"dad you are so hyper, what happened?" I asked .

"nothing sweetie, I just missed you" he said and kissed my cheeks.

He continued on telling me stories about their trip. He is supper excited when he's showing me their pictures at their trip.

"we went to the famous Eiffel tower" he said and showed me a pic of him clinging into my mom's arm while smiling widely at the camera while mom just smiled genuinely at the camera while holding my dads hand.

"but your mother didn't want us to have a picture below Eiffel tower while kissing. I mean, it's natural when you go there but she just punched me" he added and pouted. And it made me realize that mom is really not good in showing her feelings towards the person she loves when there are many people around them, she have her own way of showing love.

"there's so much people there hon, what do you want me to do? Kiss you infront of those people?" mom said and tsked.

"why not? You are my wife, I'm your husband. We are married. And we have a daughter already " dad asked and pouted at my mom who just flicked dad's lips that made me laugh.

"see sweetie? Your mom always bullies me" dad complaint and moves towards me.

"I'm not bullying you. You are so loud, we are having a movie night but you can't shut your mouth. I can't understand anything in the movie. All I can hear is your voice" mom and pulled dad to her side. "and stop pestering your daughter".

"okay, I'll shut up, sorry" dad said and hugged mom's waist tightly.

"Is it hard to have two children mom?" I asked to tease dad who just pouted at me but didn't dared to say something 'cause he already know that mom will pinch his ears.

"of course. But I still love your dad even though he's really childish and annoying at the same time" mom said without looking at dad who's already smiling widely at mom.

"you love me?" dad teased.

"no"

"but you just said it. Say it again, I wanna hear it" dad said and blocked the tv from my mom's view.

"I love you" mom said and pushes dad away from him.

"you hear that sweetie? Your mom loves me" he said and laughed that made me just shook my head.

When the doorbell rang I immediately stand up to get the pizza.

"can you deliver this one at that door?" I asked the delivery guy and pointed at Black's unit when I handed him the money. "thank you" I said and smiled at him.

"sure ma'am and you're welcome" he said and walks towards Black's door. I decided to order one for him as my way of saying thank you for being there with me even though I didn' t asked. I just hope that he's still awake at this hour 'cause it's already 11 pm.

When I got to the living room mom is already hugging dad back while they are so focused in the movie. I put the pizza box at the centre table and went to the living room to grab a soda and glasses. I felt my phone vibrated so I fished it out of my pocket.

'Thank you for the pizza' he said and sent me his picture holding the box of pizza. I slapped my face slightly when I noticed that his picture made me smile.

I decided to ignore it and went back to the living room.

"let's eat" I said and put the glass infront of them and filled it with soda.

"stay here, I'll just talk to El" mom said and my dad just nodded while eating the pizza and watching the movie.

I followed my mom when she went to my veranda, she sat at the chair there and patted the space beside her. I sat beside her and looked at the sky above us.

"how's your check up?" she asked while combing my hair.

"I remembered someone other than Seb but I can't see that man's face, it's blurred" I said and played with my fingers. I felt her stilled by my side but later on she continued to brush my hair.

"do you know his name?"

"Midnight" I said and looked at her. I saw the she's trying her best to stop her tears from flowing.

"so you remembered him" she said still combing my hair but I held both of her hands and made her stare at me in the eyes.

"do you have a picture of him mom? Who is he? Is he my ex? Where is he? Is he the one driving the car I'm in when I got into the accident? Is Midnight and the driver in my dreams are the same person?

"I can't let you see his pictures. I will not lose you El, we will not lose you" she said and burst into tears infront of me. "y-you'll remember him s-soon. You will remember everything soon b-but please, for now, don't p-push yourself t-too m-much" she said while covering her face with her hands.

I move towards her and hugged her tightly.

"you will not lose me mom. I will not leave you" I said while patting her back slightly.

"w-we never know. Y-you'll lose yourself w-when you found out the t-truth" she murmured and I can't understand it because she's already sobbing. She's crying hard in my shoulders while hugging me tightly. The last time i saw her like this was 2 years ago, at the hospital when I'm looking for Seb.

"I'll be fine mom, I'll get my memories back whatever happens." I said still patting her back.

" let yourself remember it thru our sessions. I'll go with you on your next schedule." My mom said and kissed my forehead.

"I'm really worried about you. I don't want to see you passing out when you are trying hard to remember your memories." She said while caressing my cheeks.

"but who is Midnight mom? Answer me honestly"

"h-he is Sebastian's friend that later on became your friend also" she said but I know that there's so much more in the story that she doesn't want me to know.

"I need to talk to Seb when he's ready"

"Sebastian disappeared when you are still in the hospital El, no one knows where he is and his family" she said that made me smile a little.

"he's back mom, Seb is Back here in Liechtenstein."
