Chapter 170: Teri Tericula

Meanwhile, at some random place in Soukai city. Adelheid was still gaining her wit as the sudden transfer by the 2nd key debilitated her. Even for a herrscher with multiple cores, it was just too wonky and sudden.

"Ugh, where the hell am I? Ewww, what the fuck!? Am I on a pile of garbage?" Adelheid started to get more conscious of her surroundings and noticed that she was in an alley atop a pile of garbage bags.

"Shit, I didn't know that Kanchou would actually do it too quickly. Now I don't have the location of the others, but if I'm correct. Then Kanchou must be at St. Freya eventually... And she also lost some memories due to the 2nd key." Adelheid started to strategize and would definitely not fail at this deceivingly important mission.

"But where are the students of St. Freya? I need to find them too, the more people we have. The better." Adelheid stood up and was still a little wobbly. She then used plasma to sterilize herself and was good as new. Flying away and using the 3rd's powers to try and find anyone.

__

Kanchou though, arrived at St. Freya and was held in the cells for interrogation. Though Himeko didn't really torture her, thankfully. Just asking questions about her sudden appearance in Soukai city and her apparent intel about Schicksal and Hyperion which are classified.

But due to the multiple debilitating events on her. The retrograde amnesia, the summer heat, the stress of being arrested. She suddenly went unconscious and got into a deep sleep. But it was also because of someone.

"Urban legends are things that friends whisper between themselves." A blurry figure of a young girl said to her in her dreams. Her eyes glowing as the moon turned blood red behind her. (pic)

"The American folklorist Brunvand came up with this concept. Urban legends include extraordinary and enticing stories that almost sound real... That's a part of their charm." The young girl smirked and Kanchou thought, things were getting really weird.

"Don't you want to unveil the secrets?" She whispered into her ears and Kanchou got the shivers. "Don't you want to know their identity? Who is she, she, and she?" The girl said cryptically.

'Ugh, I... I remember some memories. But it is like browsing through an old book that I vaguely recall...' Kanchou held on to her head and got headaches.

"Fufufu, remember. They are only illusions in the daytime. The truth will be revealed, only when the moonlight shines upon you." The girl chuckled and she started to fade. Confusing Kanchou greatly, trying to decipher what the girl told her.

'Okay, what was that? What do her words mean?' Kanchou then suddenly got woken up by some distant words that came from someone familiar.

"Hey, Hey! Wake up!" Himeko shook her and Kanchou finally gained consciousness. She saw the red haired girl in front of her and remembered that she was in an interrogation, but now. She knew that something was missing in her head.

"You've got some nerve, sleeping while you were being interrogated. I don't know if I should be impressed or not." The redhead sighed.

"Hey, what did I do? Why am I even here?" Kanchou asked and Himeko raised a brow. "You're a suspect for a string of vampiric attacks, now end this nonsense and cough up the specifics." Himeko slammed the table, surprising Kanchou a bit.

"I'm not from this time! I swear! I'm the quartermaster of the Hyperion!" Kanchou explained again and Himeko just stared at her.

"Ohhh? Then should I call you commander?" Himeko squinted her eyes and Kanchou imagined herself like that. As technically, she was the captain right now. With Ein giving her the responsibility. But she quickly shook her head as she thought that imagining things like that right now is crazy.

"The Hyperion is a super classified project, I've already reported you and they are now checking your identity. But in the meantime..." Himeko stared at her and Kanchou had a bad feeling.

'This sounds like a plot for being roped into this...' Kanchou predicted. "My dear Watson, can you help me with investigations?" Himeko smirked at her and Kanchou sighed.

Kanchou then gave a heavy frown, not really wanting to do that. As she had more things to do, especially try and get back her memories that had holes in it. But she did remember that she had a team when she came here.

"Okay, then I guess I'll just leave you here for 2 more days. A dedicated cell sauna in which you can sweat for 2 days." Himeko said with a smile and Kanchou did not like that even more.

"Okay, okay, Sherlock. I'll go help you god damnit." Kanchou was forced to go and mumbled her grievances under her breath.

"Good, according to the patterns of the attacks. We will have to investigate at night, and meet me at Homu's joyful dining at 12 o'clock sharp. Don't be late." Himeko was pleased and she ordered her immediately.

"Ugh, where in the world are my teammates. I know someone came with me in the past..." Kanchou wondered until she had a migraine.

Back at the Elysian realm, Mei was still shocked out of her mind and decided to ask something. "Wait, nobody has ever told stories about you... There's something wrong here, who in the world are you?" Mei got suspicious and looked at the flamechasers for answers.

"Well, I'm not from here really. But here's a picture of us, really nice as well." He showed her the time when they were complete at his tree. Having a nice picnic, surprising Mei. As she zeroed in on Kevin who was smiling and Mobius who was drunk while dancing.

"T-this isn't photoshopped is it? Kevin looks so happy here..." Mei put the picture up and compared Kevin with the sim that always had a poker face on.

"Oh yeah, these were simpler times. Before it all went to shit because of the descent of the 7th and 9th herrscher." Hua reminisced and got a little nostalgic.

"But who are you still? What was your role in the MOTHs?" Mei got curious and hoped that a living person from the previous era could help her. Especially because he was close with the cadres of the Myrmidons.

"Hmmm, you do know what the MOTHs stand for right? Myrmidons Of Taskforce Honkai, and you know what Myrmidons are? Well, I am the one they obey without questions. Einheri, rank 0 of the MOTHs. The Imperator of mankind at your service." He smiled and his horns appeared, the realm trembled violently and Hua's hair turned white. Blazing wings appearing out of her back.

"And I'm his little companion! The herrscher of sentience! The weapons specialist you know? Now bow before our awesome power kyahahaha!" Hua waved around her sword and flexed her honkai energy. Making everyone kneel down from the tsunami-like waves of energy she leaked.

Everybody started sweating and thought he was the real deal if Hua would follow him around without questions. She looks like the type who doesn't give a shit after all.

"Okay, Hua. Reel it in, they can't breathe you know?" He patted her head and the atmosphere returned to normal like nothing even happened.

Sim Aponia then appeared as the realm went unstable. She saw his form and her powers could not see through him, just like with Elysia.

"You... I cannot see your fate, can you tell me your name?" Aponia trembled and wanted to know more about the mysterious guy who just strolled in the realm.

"Hmmm, how about I show you?" Ein poked her forehead and she gained the memories of Aponia. She then groveled, surprising everyone once again and confusing Mei.

"Well, this is gonna be a long story. How about we talk about it with some snacks and beverages?" He snapped his fingers and they all appeared at the lounge. The table was filled with their favorites and they all stared at him.

"It all began when I was just in elementary school. I met this curious girl named MEI. Then we promised to be the greatest there ever was, the world went boom and she became Jesus. She got revived and we are now preparing to fight the devil." He shrugged and Mei just stared at her.

"He's right you know?" Hua commented after she just finished her bowl of noodles. And Kevin glared at him, wanting to know more about the particular bit that MEI was still alive.

"C-can you elaborate?" Mei tapped her foot on the ground and was getting impatient. "No, you've got to unveil this story on your own girl. There's no such thing as free lunches in this world." He shook his head and Mei thought so.

"How do we know you're not here to cause unrest?" Mobius squinted her slitted eyes at him and he smirked at her. "Well, Klein would know this. But are you still asking her to Livestream little animals for you Moby-chan? You're really not cute here, how about a demonstration?" He controlled the panels and a flick started.

"Ahhh, Hamsuke~ when will your dad come back? He's not visiting again. Stupid honkai beasts, he should at least come and give you gifts. Isn't that right? My little furbaby boo, don't worry. Mom will give you a dust bath in his stead." Mobius was playing with Hamsuke and the sim fell off her levitating platform.

"W-what!? T-that's not me! It can't be!" Mobius was having a crisis as everyone stared at her. Phyllis then went up to Ein.

"Hey, how much are you asking for that little flick of yours, boss? That's some prime material you got there." Phyllis started negotiating and he chuckled.

"Hmmm? How about your panties, give me the whole set with your bra and I'll add in a special one." Ein showed them another flick of Kevin's team building for Eden. The new recruits eating bowls of noodles awkwardly.

"Ahhh! I remember that, Kevin just put us in a room and served us noodles. Good times." Eden laughed and Kevin cringed, while Su laughed his ass of at the expense of his best friend, just like true bros.

"Deal!" Phyllis lost herself to greed and Mei couldn't believe it. They just arrived and the whole realm was in chaos. The other flame chasers were quiet, not making sudden moves or they'll be exposed.

Back at Soukai. The students of St. Freya woke up and was at the dorms of the school. "Where are we?" Seele was the first one to wake up as she had the most robust physique and mind. Veliona protecting her from the sudden warp.

"Guhehehe~ Ein-nii's ice cream sandwich as a dessert? This day can't get any better." Kiana was talking in her sleep and everybody started to wake up.

"Will you love me if I go with this man?" Sin was having a nightmare, about when she was about to be sold by her adoptive mother to be a sex slave before Aesir cracked down on their operations and got her into the orphanage.

"ME corp isn't gone! I'm the heiress, you can't do this!" Mei was also having one in which ME corp. got shut down.

"Da Bronya will have a dynamite body mom, just you wait." Bronya squeezed her washboard chest in her sleep with a frown.

"Guhehehe, a cherry flavored cake, Lilia... Ein-nii is spoiling us." Rozaliya was dreaming about a huge cake with tons of cherries on it and Lilia was drooling, completely out of it.

"Hey! Everyone, wake up!" Seele shook them all and they woke up one by one.

"Good, you guys are finally awake..." Seele frowned as she just got a glimpse of what goes in their minds.

"Seele? Where are we?" Bronya looked around and saw that they were in the dorms of St. Freya, except that it was brand new and it was more simple. As Aesir didn't exist there and The school was having some problems with funds, especially with the commission of Hyperion.

"It seems we are in a different universe for real. But where are Kanchou-san and Adelheid-san?" Seele concluded as she didn't really have any side effects from the trip.

"My head hurts... I need a snack." Kiana tried rummaging through her food pouch and it wasn't there. She sobered up like a college student that was having a hangover who can't find their phone.

"My pouch... I-it's gone, it isn't here..." Kiana patted all over her body and got frantic. Panic setting in as her heart beat went faster and faster. Adrenaline flooding her system, her eyes fluctuating blue to orange from the intense stress she was experiencing.

"Kiana-chan! Calm down! Calm down! We'll look for it, it must be here somewhere! Take deep breaths." Mei got anxious as well and she now knew how important that was for her.

Kiana started to breathe and Mei hugged her tightly. While the others were confused except Seele, as Veliona felt her herrscher core's energy leak heavily.

"Seele, keep a good eye on that girl. She'll rampage any second now if she doesn't calm down. Honestly, what a glutton." Veliona informed her and Seele patted her head.

"Kiana-chan, don't worry. We'll find it, and even if we don't. We'll ask Ein-nii to locate your pouch, he made it after all, he could surely find it again." Seele smiled tenderly at her and Kiana started to calm down.

Smooth Seele made her relax and Kiana nodded, a bit teary eyed. "Y-you're right. Ein-nii could do that." Mei sighed in relief and gave a wry smile to Seele.

"Calm down Kiana, it's a treasure, I know. But we need to know what even our purpose is here. Kanchou didn't really tell us what we'll be doing here." Sin reminded them and she was less prickly right now. Remembering what almost transpired when she was just a little girl.

"Sin's right! What we do know, is we're going to have an adventure!" Rozaliya cheered and they brainstormed on what to do.

"Let's find Adelheid-san and Kanchou first. We don't know what's different here." Bronya suggested and they agreed. The student group then roamed around the place, not really worried as they are basically S-ranks in stats. Just needing to graduate for the official title.

Night quickly came and Kanchou was sprinting like crazy to get to the rendezvous point. And she was still 5 minutes late to the place.

"Hmm, commander. If I remember correctly, we agreed on 12 o'clock sharp. Can you tell me what's the time right now?" Himeko sarcastically said and Kanchou was still panting.

"Ugh, it's 12:05 right now. It's not my fault! There are no Homu rides, So I couldn't take a cab. I had to run here you know?" Kanchou explained and Himeko snorted.

"There's no excuses commander of Hyperion. I thought you were the oh so wonderful commander of that vessel?" Himeko stared at her disapprovingly.

'She's still as unforgiving as ever.' Kanchou just apologized again and gave a wry smile.

"Alleyways are the perfect cover for the culprit. Let's start there for now." Himeko said seriously as she has been trying to find the criminal for some time now.

"Dark alleys will camouflage them and the cries for help of the victims would be drowned out by the traffic." Kanchou concluded and Himeko smiled at her.

"Good, you catch on quickly. Hmm, are you a repeat offender?" Himeko teased her and Kanchou groaned at her suspicions.

"Do I really look like a bad guy? Your words wound me Himeko-san..." Kanchou got a little depressed and Himeko chuckled.

"Anyways, let's try to find more information and split up. I'll go on the right and you go there on the left, don't get attacked now." Himeko waved and started walking, Kanchou waited for her to disappear in the night and sighed.

"Something wrong is going to happen, I can feel it. Eh, no matter. I'll just do this for now then, maybe friendlies will find me soon enough." Kanchou started her patrol and didn't really see anything suspicious.

Though the atmosphere of the city at night where there was no people around made her uneasy. The citizens are not roaming at night because of the attacks.

The dark alleys and twitching lights unnerved her. Praying that something won't really happen, but of course. Something did, she found a girl that was on the ground. Groaning in pain, curled up in a ball. (pic)

"What? She looks familiar... But that isn't important right now, hey! Are you okay?" Kanchou went up to her and shook her to get an answer out of her.

Kanchou picked her up and the girl's cuteness stole her breath away. A gnawing feeling in her chest that the girl was someone he knew.

"Get away... Just, get away... Please." The girl said weakly and Kanchou didn't hear. "Hey! What are you saying?" She put her ears closer to her lips, hoping to hear what she was saying.

But the girl suddenly opened her eyes and it revealed blood red orbs that glowed in the night. She then bit Kanchou on the neck and she could feel the canines of the girl.

'Ahhh. Is this how I die? Getting sucked dry by a Loli vampire.' Kanchou accepted her fate and closed her eyes, as the life escaped from her now cold corpse. Or not.

The Loli vampire was too weak and her fangs weren't able to pierce her skin. "Uhhh, what should I do now?" Kanchou looked at the curled up Loli vampire and noticed that she was still in pain. Groaning still, while her breath hitched and went quicker.

"I know, I guess I need to do this huh?" Kanchou bit her finger and gasped at the pain. "Damn, I didn't know that was really hard to do, painful as hell too." She then rubbed the blood on the Loli's lips.

The vampire then licked her lips cutely and her breathing started to relax. Her tightly shut eyelids got softer, indicating that her pain was going away.

"That should do the trick, right? Gah!" She then got surprised as her cellphone rung in the dark alleyway. Himeko messaged her that she just finished her patrol and wants to meet up with her again at Homu's joyful dining.

Kanchou then looked at the loli vampire, thinking that she'll wake up soon. "Next time... If we meet next time." Kanchou then returned to the rendezvous point again.

Adelheid was watching at the top of a building and was biding her time. "Damn, I didn't know that Kanchou's amnesia was that bad... The overseer must've fucked her up." Adelheid got a sighting of a suspicious device right at the control panel of the 2nd key and it might have done something to Kanchou.

"I must wait, I'll try to find the others too. I felt Kiana's sudden surge of honkai energy." Adelheid left and put a print on Kanchou and Himeko. So she would know where they were all the time. Not knowing that she contributed to the rumors with her long silvery hair. Add to that, her battlesuit that had crimson on it, looking like blood.
