Chapter 116: Moonlight Throne

The herrscher was escorted inside the NA base and he looked around the impressive advanced technology and was given a set of clothes to change into.

"You really don't remember anything about you? Just gone? Not even a little bit?" Tesla interrogated him as she was still anxious about housing a potential genocidal maniac in the base.

"No, not really. But I do remember how society works. It's weird, I don't know who I am nor anything about myself." He frowned when he tried remembering something, but there was absolutely nothing about who he was or what kind of life he lived.

Tesla then felt bad that she basically bullied the kid. "Uhh, that's fine. You just sit back and don't do anything for now." She then face palmed and thought that was terrible advice.

Unfortunately, Nancy called Schicksal HQ and the herrscher was designated with the name omega 1. Signifying the hax of the herrschers.

Fortunately though, they found him and the things that the NA branch discovers by themselves is considered their property if it wasn't a mandated search by HQ. So the young herrscher is safe for now.

Lieserl was currently interviewing him with Schrodinger and they were trying to find out if he had anything he could recall. Even just his name would be enough, but there was literally nothing.

"Hmm, your designation is omega 1. The greek symbol of it in lowercase is w. Let me think what name that starts with thar letter is good." She thought of what his name would be and Einstein came up with the german for world. "Welt, from now on. Your name will be Welt, it means the world." She smiled at him and he repeated it softly multiple times.

"Hmm, fitting name for him mophead. He is a ruler in german, but he doesn't even know how to use his powers." Tesla huffed and Nancy smacked her on the head. "Shut up red handle bar. So Welt, can you feel anything different?" Nancy asked and was curious how a herrscher feels.

"I feel like I'm strong, physically only though. What's a herrscher anyway?" He was confused that Tesla always called him a herrscher.

"Ahhh, you can read right? Look at this." Schrodinger handed him some paper that explained what a herrscher was. He then started to get more and more anxious as he read the paper.

"Am I going to be a guinea pig? This place looks like it has labs after all. And that red head looks like the type to do it." He stared at Tesla warily as he didn't like her rough personality.

"Now look at what you did Tesla, shame on you. Don't worry Welt, there's nobody here that would experiment on you. Though we would like to do some tests on your powers though." Emma scolded Tesla and reassured Welt with the truth immediately.

"I... I guess, don't count on it though. There's no special powers that I could feel inside me." He patted all over his body and frowned, thinking that it would be a useful power to protect himself if push comes to shove.

"Don't be too nervous. We won't do anything to you that you don't want. And besides, you're much safer here than outside I would reckon." Lieserl stated and that made him agree. Him having potential powers would certainly make him a target. By good people and bad people both.

"You're right, that's a pretty good point." He thought of it deeper and they didn't really do anything to harm him. In fact, they clothed him and explained things to him concisely.

"Okay, we will have to check out what your powers are exactly." Schrodinger gestured him to follow them in a testing area. After he entered the solid looking room, he was then instructed by Lieserl.

"Okay, can you try to feel something inside of you? Just imagine for now so we could see if there are any changes that would happen." She tried her best and thought of a way that he could use his powers. Unfortunately, she wasn't cultured enough to give proper instructions.

Welt tried imagining something like beams and shit, but it of course didn't work out as he have no idea how to control honkai energy. As his instincts as a herrscher disappeared along with the persona permanently.

He then shook his head after trying for a few minutes. "A bummer, herrschers are thought to be the enemy of mankind back in the previous era and they didn't have one in captivity like this. But we can't extract useful information." Schrodinger commented and the others nodded.

"Okay Welt, this is just the start. Don't get discouraged, we have a lot of time. We can figure out your powers later." Lieserl said to the boy and he thought it was a relief that they won't starve him or something.

"Maybe we should try something else? He's leaking honkai energy, he probably just don't understand how to use it? Not that we do too, but we can teach him how honkai energy works to the best of our abilities." Nancy gave a suggestion and everybody agreed.

They then gave Welt some food as his stomach rumbled earlier. He ate like a starved man and it surprised the others, his metabolism was quicker due to the enhanced mental faculties the herrscher core gave him.

They then gave him some books to read in order to pass the time. While the scientists made a honkai energy curriculum for Welt so he could understand it better. Emma approved the lessons they would give him and decided to start tomorrow morning.

At the break of dawn, Emma woke up the sleeping Welt. Seeing that he was drooling and had a nice rest. She then banged a frying pan just above his head and he woke up quickly.

"Wh-what's happening?" He looked around and saw Emma with a pan on her hands. She chuckled and opened the curtains, blinding him with sunlight. "Wakey wakey, time for schoo'." She then gave him a stack of papers. "You go read that for now, prepare for the morning and have breakfast. Then we will start with your lessons okay?" She left him still shell shocked and he looked at the papers.

"Honkai energy for dummies? Good for children and mentally challenged adults." He read it, he then felt like the one who wrote it clearly had a bad relationship with incapable adults. It was written by Dr. MEI and Dr. Ein.

"Okay, a new day I guess. I wish it would go more smoothly though." Welt started preparing and went to the dining room to eat, he immediately finished his breakfast and he started reading the papers.

"Woah, I can remember them much more easily... Am I hella smart or something?" He read through it quickly and his teacher for the day, Tesla arrived.

"Yo, kid. Let's get this over with already." She sat down and sighed, thinking that teaching somebody about a complicated topic wasn't going to be fun at all.

She then started with the basics, but he immediately butted in. "Uhh, big sis Tesla. I already know that, I don't know why. But I can learn things really quickly." He said to her with a cheeky smile.

Tesla narrowed her eyes at him and quizzed him about honkai energy. To her surprise, he answered all his questions immediately and got it correct as well.

"It seems we will have a pretty nice session then!" Tesla beamed at him and nuzzled his hair. She then proceeded to teach him about it. Reaching a point where you'd need average college level students that specialized in honkai study to understand.

"Alright, that's a wrap. I think we had tons of progress! I guess you can do whatever you want for now. We will try again when you finish all the papers Ein-nii sent us." She thought it was quite fun teaching someone. Especially when they could get it quickly.

And after a week of studies, they received a communication from HQ. Asking the NA branch if they want to collaborate with them to gain more knowledge about the herrscher.

"Hey, should we even accept this? I think we should, we're currently outmatched in military power and Finn isn't done yet in deciphering the blueprint for the mechs." Nancy asked the others.

Lieserl and Schrodinger agreed, while Emma and Tesla didn't want to. As they know that having Welt at Europe, the home grounds of Schicksal would be quite detrimental for them.

"Well, we aren't a threat to Schicksal right now as we just started the branch recently. They have centuries of influence and I think the overseer won't strong arm us." Schrodinger was optimistic, and she was quite interested on what Welt's power was.

"If we don't do anything suspicious. They will leave us alone, besides. I think that Ein-nii is a great deterrent against them bullying us to hand over Welt." Lieserl argued, making Emma and Tesla frown.

"We can't rely on Ein-nii forever Lieserl. Though you are right, how about you Emma-nee? Any opinions?" Tesla asked Planck.

"Hmm, I think we should rely on Ein for now and slowly transition out of his umbrella. When we mass produce the mechs, we will be quite strong. Supergen also have our backs unlike Spiral workshop, I'd imagine Vill-v would call us boring and make us handle it on our own to make us stronger." Emma reasoned and they replied to HQ.

After a few hours, they received a location and it was in London. Imperial research lab 42, the gang decided that Tesla and Lieserl would be accompanying Welt. While Schrodinger and Edison try to mass produce the mechs to gain more ground. Emma will be the ambassador as she had great communication skills as a professor.

Lieserl then contacted Ein about this. "Ein-nii... Sorry to bother you, but we need your help against Schicksal. They might steal Welt under our nose and we will lose him forever."

"Hmm~ You know the rules, and so do I. What are you offering?" He said the words that they feared. As his price would fluctuate due to his whims. "Uhh, I know. How about we wear bikinis and make a calendar? Send it to you and you can sell it or something?" Emma suggested, horrifying the teen scientist squad.

"Uhhh, Emma-nee... You're playing with fire there, quick! Take it back!" Nancy argued, but they were already too late. "That's a great idea Emma. You know, I do want to see you guys in bikinis too. How about I get a live show and take the pictures myself?"

He quickly agreed and the others groaned. "Can we negotiate for it? How about anything except bikinis Ein-nii!" Tesla protested and Ein decided to give them a break. "Okay, but I'm going to decide what you'll wear and what poses you'll do? Got it?" He then hanged up.

"Hah, Emma-nee. What in the world are you doing? You know dealing with Ein-nii is like having negotiations with the devil. He'll give you the sweetest offers and then drag you down to an inescapable contract." Lieserl sighed as she thought of what clothes he would bring.

"Oh shut up you girls. I wouldn't have done it if you weren't so indecisive about it. Besides, Ein would probably bring interesting costumes no?" She got excited and they argued back and forth until a knock was heard on their door.

"Here's Johnny!" Ein kicked the door open and quickly threw them their costumes. They then thought it was more tame than they imagined it to be. And the 1st one was Nancy, as hers was the easiest to wear and do. (pic here)

Next was Tesla. And last, it was a homey picture of Emma as she got out easy due to recommending it quickly and decisively. (pics)

"Yosh, my calendar would surely sell with these kukuku~ Now let me send a message to Tilie. Well, she won't bother you guys for some time, so make it count okay?" He patted their heads and hugged them.

Meanwhile in Europe, Tilie had a foreboding feeling and when she was about to stand up. A sword was already near her throat, glimmering dangerously and a clawed hand was caressing her cheek. It was Phyllis and SAKURA.

"You're Ottilie Apocalypse huh? You have great skin for somebody that lived for some time no? Shame if my hand slipped." Phyllis scratched her cheek and spilled a bit of blood.

"This is for you. Read it well." SAKURA gave her a letter and delivered the message with a concise sentence. Ottilie then could breathe after the blade disappeared along with the hand.

She quickly stood up and looked everywhere for the 2 invaders. But they were long gone already. She then opened the letter and it said there that the NA branch agreed with their collaboration for a few years.

Tilie immediately understood that in those years. She can't try anything remotely funny, as assassins went in and out of HQ like it was some kind of mall or something. "How can they even enter here like a ghost?" She seriously wondered and was getting headaches about it.

The NA branch quickly took care of Welt's passport and named him Joyce. As one of the books he liked was James Joyce's Ulysses. They then arrived at London and went to the lab, riding a shady car with police escorts.

"Okay Welt, we've arrived at the lab, this would be our base of operations for quite some time. We should get some rest and we'll test if you can access your powers now." Lieserl smiled at him and they proceeded experimenting with his supposed powers before giving him to Tesla so she could monitor his experiments with HQ.

"Try again Welt, can you feel the energy inside of you?" Tesla and Lieserl were hopeful that he is able to use his honkai energy. Welt nodded and was able to visualize the reserves inside his body. But when he tried pulling on it, the honkai energy won't budge.

"I can feel it, but the thing is. I think I need to understand the energy more, it refuses to move how I like." He got downtrodden and thought for sure it would work. But unfortunately, he is handicapped because the 1st herrscher needs immense knowledge and mental capabilities.

He then thought of using it with a sequence of precise orders. Deciding on a shield, he imagined a lattice of honkai energy forming in front of him and a blue energy shield appeared for a moment, but he lost focus and it fizzled out.

"There's something missing, it's like an analog machine that needs inputs. Maybe I need knowledge about other things? Like how my energy could interact with the surroundings?" Welt theorized, making Tesla and Einstein speculate.

"Then won't this be quite tricky? He would need to understand tons of things about chemistry, physics. Basically how the world works through science." Tesla massaged her temples and thought it would be a pain in the ass.

"We have no choice Tesla, this is already a monumental success for such little time we taught him. Welt, good job. We now have a concrete idea on how your power would work. Let's take it step by step alright?" Lieserl praised his deduction skills and they were then met by Ottilie. Personally coming to see the herrscher.

"Greetings, Einstein, Tesla, Welt Joyce. It seems you have been making good progress? That's good, we have actually found out that the 1st herrscher is called the herrscher of reason. Using intellect and understanding the laws of the world to bend it to their will." The blonde confirmed their theory.

And with her primary weapon, the void archives. It was in her ballpark as the divine key was made using the core of the 1st. "They are incredibly sensitive and resistant to honkai energy. How about the NA branch focus on teaching him and we experiment on his honkai energy?" She gave the young scientists a paper on how they will do the experiments.

Schicksal HQ would expose him to the energy, inject some of it in him, try to agitate it out of him, etc. Lieserl and Tesla thought the experiments were aggressive, but it was still acceptable. As Welt has tons of honkai energy, but it doesn't affect him in any way. So he is safe from honkai corruption.

"Okay, we will have Welt at a 4-3 day cycle. As you said, he would need tons of knowledge. So we want him to be with us for 4 days of the week and 3 with HQ. Do we have an agreement overseer?" Lieserl negotiated and Ottilie thought it was enough, so she agreed.

They shook hands and Ottilie smiled. "That is quite fine. I hope we find a lot of data, this would be quite important for our battle against the honkai. Now if you will excuse me." She then walked away.

"Is that okay with you Welt? They might do something uncomfortable you know?" Lieserl asked the young boy, worried that HQ might force his powers to the surface.

"It is fine big sis Einstein. I really want to get my powers to work too, it feels weird without getting to use it. As if a part of me is missing, so using more aggressive procedures can be tolerated. Although I will inform you if it is too much." He wanted to get it over with and Tesla patted his back.

"That's the spirit! Now let's go, we will teach you about physics and chemistry for now. While Schrodinger along with Emma-nee will teach you how the microscopic world works." Tesla laughed and they started with their endeavors once more.

And when it was time to go to HQ, Welt was anxious still. He was in a new environment and it was quite nerve wracking. Then the scientists of Schicksal entered the room he was in. They looked cold, emotionless, and without a personality. Unlike the NA branch that had good people in it.

"Test subject Omega 1 will be exposed in honkai energy for now. Small increments will be added every minute. Let us begin, the 1st experiment starts now." They exposed him in energy.

Welt felt like he was in element and he started absorbing the ambient honkai energy inside the room. He even took out the book he has with him and started reading. Ottilie gave it to Welt to entertain himself.

"Increase it again, higher than what was planned. The test subject can tolerate much more than expected." The lead scientist stated as they cranked it up more.

After an hour, they finished the experiment and found out that Welt was basically immune to amounts of honkai energy that would corrupt an average human a 100 times over. They didn't know that Ein and Aesir has made the average person more resistant to honkai and the amount they pumped to Welt is enough to corrupt a city block.

"That's enough for now. We will now commence with direct supplementation of honkai energy to agitate his internal supply." A pair of scientists entered the room and started injecting him with honkai.

They noted that there was an effect and Welt was having some trouble controlling his energy with the sudden surge of it entering his system. He then tried making energy shields again and now, he was successful. It lasted a whole minute and it made him smile.

The scientists counted it as a success, but they were still cold and didn't celebrate like Tesla did. He then thought he doesn't remotely like the people here.

"We will continue this later. We have two more days of the subject being with us. You can return to your room now." The scientist said to him like he was a lab rat.

Welt then returned to his room and received a letter. It was from a person called Clown alpha. He opened it and the person wrote a letter about philosophical views. It asked if the world really was worth protecting if it damns the heroes and lets the corruption fester.

It made Welt think, but it didn't concern him and he slept after reading a bit more. So he could be prepared for the next set of experimentation.

Meanwhile, Schrodinger and Nancy was successful in making their mechs. Unfortunately, the blueprint that Finn deciphered was too advanced for them. And it even made them depressed when the robot was classified as a mass produced product that only helps with construction. But it still had massive firepower and could handle even building size honkai beasts if they were in groups.

It was like a walking fortress for the young scientists. "This robot is insane! How can they build this thing and use it for construction and domestic purposes? The thing can destroy city blocks in minutes!" Nancy was losing her mind.

"It's okay Nancy, but it makes you think. What would be the capabilities of the weaponized mechs back in the past? It must have jaw dropping firepower and destruction we can't even imagine." They then looked at the mechs they've created based on the blueprint.

It was a honkai powered bot that fights either physically or through rockets and guns. Outfitted with shields. (pic here)

They called it the titan as it stood 4 meters tall. And capable enough to handle the 3 meter templars one on one.

"Kukuku~ no matter. We will now start mass production! This is our requiem!" Nancy then laughed maniacally and started designing more. Ones that use artillery, missiles, gatling guns, suicide bombers, etc.

"Hah, there she goes. At least we will now have an answer to HQ's valkyrie order." Schrodinger then went to Europe to switch with Tesla. So they could now manufacture the mechs in droves and battle the honkai as well as a part of Schicksal's normal activities.

Welt continued his experiments with Schicksal and education with the science squad. He could now will guns, shields, missiles, and other weapons of humanity. But he still cannot fight like the true herrscher of reason. Lacking the ability to recreate the powers of other herrschers.

While the NA branch quickly grew to power, they were approved more by the populace as the organization dealt with honkai using mechs and thought HQ was cruel by deploying women as the combatants.

Which of course, made tensions grew between the two branches. It even got to the point that conflicts started appearing from time to time and they were fighting for resources and relics from the past era.

But the deal breaker was Ottilie's interest in Welt. She thought of a plan that used herrschers as she made more progress in learning about them. It concerned the 6th one which can control matter and atomic molecules to her will.

"I must learn more about herrschers, then I might be able to revive Kallen with the power of the 1st and 6th herrscher." She thought that Welt could breathe life to a body that the 6th has created.

But Welt did not make any more progress, so she transferred him completely to the hands of the NA branch. But she would try and persuade him to be the next overseer of Schicksal so she could focus on her ultimate goal.

Welt has grown and was now a young man that learned a lot from the NA branch. He was currently being escorted by a shady car again. He still felt bad that he destroyed Berlin, a fact that he regrets. But Welt has accepted that incident and was hella curious on why only a few people died.

"Okay Welt, you'll be living free from experiments now. I guess you'll be our assistant? You're pretty smart now, and you're unemployed no?" Lieserl teased him and she chuckled.

Welt has grown attached to the NA branch and calls them big sister. He also played a lot with Joachim and the little boy idolized him. Seeing someone with cool powers as a kid would certainly do that.

"I guess. Time goes by so fast huh? How's your cousin Carl by the way? It surprised me when he looked like a grown up version of myself." He met Carl once, and he looked like the spitting image of himself, just more mature.

"He is fine, it's technically not your fault that Berlin got destroyed Welt. And it is now back because of Aesir corp. Ein-nii's company is amazing as always. They recreated the city in just a few years to a t. The residents even said it didn't change one bit." Lieserl was getting more and more suspicious of Ein's identity and she was planning to confront him about it as it was driving her crazy.

"Yeah, he's insane as always. By the way, you haven't met him yet right? Did you know that little mophead here has a crush on him? Kukuku~" Tesla teased Lieserl and she immediately frowned, but her cheeks were a bit red.

"Shut up Tesla. And I'm not little, I'm still growing." Einstein was only 149 cm tall and she wasn't growing anymore. Lieserl only reached Ein's chest as he was 6'7 and she was barely 4'11.

"Big sis Lieserl's crush? He must be amazing then?" He asked, curious. "Oh he is, trust me. He's the number 1 candidate as husband material. But what they don't know is you'll go crazy with him if you don't have strong mental or you want to keep up with him." Tesla sighed and she liked him too once. But seeing the competition, Maestro Vill-v. She felt like it was a landslide with her giant milkers and dynamite body. She would also go insane with jealousy with how insignificant she feels compared to him.

"Ooh, now I really want to meet him." Welt started to respect him in his mind as Tesla doesn't praise someone honestly like that.

"Well, you should prepare yourself. You'll be in a doozy when you meet with him or his friends. Especially Dr. Mobius, she'll probably cut you open with just the look in her eyes when she sees you." Lieserl shivered when she remembered her piercing green eyes like a predator.

They then told Welt that his job is arranging and organizing their schedules. Otherwise, he could do whatever he liked. After a scrumptious meal, Welt went to the library to see if there was anything that he could see there to take Tesla and Einstein to. He wanted to thank them for their support and teachings.

And after a few hours of searching, Einstein came up to him. "Welt, it's early in the morning. What are you doing here?" She asked and Welt looked at the curtains and noticed it was already morning.

"I... I wanted to thank you two and was trying to find a place to take you guys." But he was empty handed and didn't find anything.

Lieserl sighed, but she gave a tender smile and ruffled his hair. "Let's go and have a nice breakfast in an italian restaurant then. There's one near here." They then went and ate without Tesla as she drank a lot that night to celebrate Welt's release from HQ.

They then met up with Finn when they returned. "Hey Lieserl, you have a letter from Schrodinger." He handed it to her and Erwin told them that she wants to play a game with them that she just found called Pokemon that Aesir sold, and it sold like hotcakes. But there was also a set of unfamiliar letters at the last part of the letter.

"Welt, wake up Tesla. We'll be going back to America. It seems they've found another ruin that is quite exciting." Welt nodded and when they were all prepared, they returned to New Jersey to meet up with Erwin and the others.

When they arrived, they were greeted by Reanna. "Good afternoon Dr. Einstein, Dr. Tesla. The overseer wanted me to give this to you. It's nice to see you again." She smiled, in the years they've met with each other. She thought they were nice people.

"Thanks Reanna, say our gratitude to the overseer." They received Dead Sea Scrolls that was information about a place with anomalies under the sea. Ottilie wanted them to find it and then she would swoop in to take it for herself when the time was right.

Tesla and Einstein then entered a lingerie store as Tesla told Lieserl she would need weapons to fight against Vill-v's dynamite body.

Finn and Welt waited outside and Finn asked Welt about his life. "So do you like Tesla or Lieserl?" He wiggled his brows and chuckled.

"Well, I like them both. They were a big help when I didn't remember anything, I might be still experimented on more if they weren't there." He gave a wholesome answer that made Finn sigh.

"How about you Finn? How's the wife and Joachim?" Welt chuckled and Finn decided to tease him a bit. "You won't get girls like that kid. Ein would be disappointed in your game when he sees you."

Welt raised a brow and the girls finally went out of the store. They then received a call from Emma that they were waiting for them in Montana. So the gang had another flight and went to Billings, meeting up with Emma and Schrodinger as Nancy was busy with an equation and blueprint that they found.

"Look at this Lieserl. I have a shiny Charizard, cool right." Schrodinger showed her pokemon and Emma hugged them one by one. "We've missed you guys. Seeing you in person is different in a video call."

The gang then had dinner and went back to the hotel. And in the morning, they had a flight to Wyoming to go to their next destination. Yellowstone Lake.

"Nancy found some ruins here, she said that it contained a precious tech from the previous era. She's trying to make it right now, so she's busy in New York." Emma explained Nancy's circumstances. She was in the main base of NA at Manhattan.

They then went inside a cave and they went underground using the elevator. "What's that noise." Lieserl heard a mosquito sound. She was sensitive to sounds and special frequencies. So they decided to follow the sound.

The gang then saw rifles, tents, and skeletons. Which was odd. "Hmm, this place should've been abandoned for quite some time right? There shouldn't be any humans here in centuries or even millennia." Tesla looked at the traces of humans and they could be only a century old at most.

"We should ignore it for now. This mystery would probably unravel itself after we have more information about what is inside this ruins." Emma said to them and Lieserl followed the noise again.

They arrive at the source of the sound: a modern looking room, with a message written in English inscribed on the ceiling "To the youngs who came here, I leave the last Soulium to you. Knight of Maiden Castle - HA Lodinium Doire." A puzzle left by someone named HA.

"This must be a riddle. Let me try to decipher it." Finn tried looking at it and after some time, they found a pattern that looked like a map. "This shape in the map... It is Londonderry. It seems we must go there to find the next clue."

Everybody then decided to split the team in two. Schrodinger and Finn would stay in America and the Imperial lab 42 team would go to Europe once again.

Schrodinger and Finn decided to meet up with Nancy in Manhattan and the Europe team stayed for a bit in the ruins. Emma then noticed that back at the human traces, there were bullet holes and signs of conflict.

Leading her to the conclusion that a scuffle for the ruins happened. They then boarded the plane to Europe and Emma decided to talk with Welt while they were in the plane as they were seated next to each other.

"Hey Welt, you're a young man now no? We should go on a date." She teases him. "What are you talking about big sis Emma. You're teasing me just like Finn." He pouted at her and she chuckled.

"But you have to be more competent first. My target is quite the man, anyways. Do you think you can protect Einstein and Tesla? If we continue in this path, there surely will be conflict in the future." Emma thought about the tensions between HQ and the NA branch. And the fact that in the ruins, there were signs of fights.

Welt turned serious and nodded. "I can, they're my big sisters. And they've helped me become who I am today. It's not an exaggeration to say that I owe then my life."

Emma smiled wryly. "That's not nearly enough. Wanting and being able to are not the same. You must become stronger Welt, Ein might protect them from the shadows. But they can still get attacked." She was going to Vienna in order to talk with the overseer about the tensions between the 2 organizations.

They've arrived at London and Emma said her goodbyes to them as she's going to Vienna. While the 3 went to Ireland and straight to Londonderry. "Good luck girls. Godspeed, I wish you find what we're looking for."

In Londonderry, after a round of shopping, Einstein shows Tesla and Welt around and tells them about Ireland's history. Einstein manages to find the next clue inscribed on one of the cannons The innocent queen was blindfolded, which leads to them realizing that it's referring to 'The Execution of Lady Jane Grey'.

The next day, they head to the museum to check on the painting. They find that since it's been coated with Soulium, it's been preserved in peak condition. "Wait, this would come in handy for gathering the Soulium"

Einstein takes out a device to absorb the Soulium from the canvas and places it on the surface of the painting. She tells everyone to cover their ears, after which the contraption begins generating an ear piercing noise.

Welt freaks out because Einstein was the only one not protecting her ears and resorts to covering hers instead. Turns out there was no need for that, as Einstein is naturally immune to this kind of noise.

"What the hell are you doing Welt? Your ears are bleeding you fucking donkey!" Tesla scolded him, he then quickly healed it up using honkai energy and his enhanced physique, but Tesla storms off because of stress and needed a drink.

Welt and Einstein head back to the lab, where she introduces the young man to a previous era AI called Ada. Ada scans the Soulium and finds a recording of a wounded woman talking about how Schicksal's efforts of purging the Honkai are fruitless, as she believes that's impossible to accomplish.

The woman also says that she's left something else in the rest of the Soulium. Unlocking its contents will take about 4 weeks with Ada running at full capacity, so Einstein tells Welt to take responsibility and find a way entertain her and Tesla for these next few weeks.

"This would take a month Welt. Do your job properly this time okay? We need to stay here in Londonderry for quite a while." Lieserl sighed and thought it was gonna be a long month.

He nodded and decided to find some spots to hang out in on newspapers and magazines instead of the library this time.

After a few hours, it's already night and Welt worried about Tesla not appearing yet. "Where in the world is big sis Tesla? Big sis Lieserl said she's drinking, does she know how dangerous is it to drink heavily until this hour?" He talked to himself and decided to open one of Clown alpha's letter again to spend time while waiting for Tesla.

In it, the sender talks about how unfair it is that humanity has to face off against an enemy like the Honkai, but it's progress is nonetheless halted by its own internal conflicts. As they put it, humanity is its own worst enemy. They gave Kallen as an example of the perfect being, a being capable to face its own weaknesses. In their vision, if everyone were like her, then humanity would become so powerful that the Honkai would become an insignificant issue.

"Kallen Kaslana, so she is the hero that was damned by the masses that Clown alpha talked about in their 1st letter. It seems that person meant a lot to them." He thought if the NA branch disappeared, he would do everything to bring them back.

A few hours pass, and Tesla finally returns back home, fully drunk. She rants about gender roles. "Why the hell are we still not having women in power? Like Maestro Vill-v? She's much better than the shtupid men in power, they think women's role is to take care of the house!"

She then goes to grab another drink, but Welt stops her by grabbing her hands. The long night is finally over when Einstein delivers a blow to her head with a thick dictionary. "Shut up Tesla. If Ein-nii told you to make a sandwich you would do it. Not that he needs to, his food is immaculate."

Joachim then arrived at the place when he learned that Tesla, Einstein, and Welt were in Londonderry. Surprising him greatly as Tesla was passed out on the floor and Lieserl hit her on the head. "Uhh, am I supposed to see that?"

Einstein waved her hand nonchalantly and dragged Tesla to her room, making Welt and Joachim smile wryly at the prickly Tesla.

The next day, Tesla takes Welt with her to the cemetery to feed the cats. She slept soundly after Lieserl knocked her out and she saw the cats when she was on the way to the pub.

Welt then meets with the Paladin of Schicksal Reanna. "Hello Ms. Brigantia, what are you doing here? Are you going to feed the cats too?" He saw her carrying a bag and assumed they were cat food.

She shook her head and pointed to graves. "I'm paying my respects to my fallen comrades, I haven't visited them for quite a while." She then took out the contents of the bag and it contained a brush to clean graves.

Welt felt bad and immediately apologized, but Reanna waved it off and smiled at him. Then they paid their respects to her fallen comrades together.

They then got spooked by Tesla and Joachim's flying robots dressed as ghosts floating around." Reanna then whips out abyss flower after which she disintegrates them using the Abyss Flower. Joachim and Tesla then appeared, shocked out of their minds that their robots got destroyed. Joachim stared at the sheets that the bots used to disguise as ghosts and started to tear up.

Reanna frowned and couldn't resist to help the kid fix them up. "Hah, we could fix them up later again kid. Lead the way Dr. Tesla, I will help with creating another for him."

Later that evening, she helps Tesla and Einstein create more so Joachim won't get sad anymore. Using the abyss flower to make the work quicker. Amazing Einstein and Tesla. "I need me some of that." Tesla thought how it was made and Einstein felt it was a great weapon.

Towards the end of the month, Welt finds a discount for a beach resort called "West cliff Rita" in a newspaper and takes the 2 scientists there. "Ohhh, good job Welt. We've been staying here at this hotel for quite a while. It's so boring in here." Tesla whined and they arrived at the resort.

There at the lobby Einstein finds time to play the piano while Tesla talked to the receptionist and tell Welt her story. "You know, ever since I was a child. Nobody understood me, my parents were normal and I didn't have friends."

She smiled wryly and remembered her childhood. "I was introduced to 4 psychologists in total by my mother and all they advised me with was to make more friends. Not that I tried anyway as I knew it was pointless." Welt listened intently to the story of Lieserl and thought it was the sad reality of a genius.

"Then he came, Carl Gustav. He really looked like you back then when he was younger. My parents hired him and I thought he won't understand me too."

Einstein was very skeptical towards him, despite his friendly nature. He insisted she give him a chance, so she concocted what she thought was an ingenious plan. She told him to answer this "What is the maximum number of straight vertical lines that can exist in space?"

If he couldn't get it right, he had to quit. She thought by asking a question which's answer could be changed to any number, she could get him to leave. However, Carl proved her wrong when he said you can make as many as you wanted to. As he went on, Einstein began to cry uncontrollably. She was extremely happy to have someone who understood her.

Carl then introduced Emma, his cousin. To their family to help with her premature college education. Lieserl's parents approved immediately and the rest was history.

"I didn't know big sis Emma and Carl were huge parts of your life." He thought it was wonderful that she met them early.

They then had a walk on the beach and scolded Tesla that was drinking heavily. And when they got back, Welt decided to have a shower in the public area. After he got out though, a blonde woman was waiting for him.

"Greetings, Welt Joyce. The 1st herrscher." She greeted and Welt narrowed his eyes at her. Not knowing who she was, but knew he was the 1st herrscher.

"Who are you? What's your purpose for waiting on me here. You better speak quickly." He prepared for battle and the blonde introduced herself.

"I am Ottilie apocalypse. The overseer of Schicksal. Ring any bells? And what I want is for you to inherit Schicksal." She offered the organization to him which made him suspicious.

"You might know me as Clown alpha. And it would be possible if I adopt you and give you the Apocalypse name." Ottilie thought he was special. In which he was surrounded by many exceptional people that had traits similar to Kallen.

Welt didn't answer and it made Tilie sigh. "What do you think exceptional means Welt Joyce?" She wanted to know if he really valued the people around him like she did Kallen.

Numerous people immediately come in to mind. "Newton, St. Peter, Gautama Buddha." He said the names of these people and Tilie thought it was a shame.

She thought they weren't truly exceptional people. Her mind was warped and compares them subconsciously with Kallen. Which makes Ein the only person in the world Ottilie acknowledges and thinks that he is a truly exceptional individual. Having an impact in the world even more than Kallen.

"So? What do you say? Do you acce-" Before she could finish their talks. A naked guy that just got from the shower walked out. With long silver hair and slightly glowing green eyes.

It was Ein and his tall form was really noticeable with a small towel on his shoulders. Baring it all to the two. "Oya? What are you doing missy? Preying on this young kid." He put his arm over Welt's shoulder and Ottilie frowned. As they looked at his obvious member, waving around saying hello.

"Ein, what in the world are you doing here?" She was honestly stumped as she checked every transport that was coming to Londonderry and Ein wasn't in any of them at all.

"Why? Didn't you miss me~?" He then disappeared and appeared around her. Welt got a nosebleed as he saw Ein groping Tilie as he hugged her waist.

"Hmm, you should pick on somebody your own age Tilie. Don't want the FBI to crack in on you now do we?" He sucked on her neck and Ottilie felt all her neurons fire. Making her knees weak, arms heavy. She got sweat on her brows already.

"Umm, Mr. Aesir? Big sis Lieserl and Tesla always talks about you. It's an honor to meet you." He thought it was insane that the man his saviors respected is currently sexually harassing the overseer of Schicksal.

"What's up. You're Welt Joyce right?" Ein then pinched Tilie's pair of buttons and she moaned loudly. "Uhh, yes sir..." He then watched on and got terribly awkward as he heard the overseer panting.

Ein then let go of her and she dropped to the ground like a doll that got its strings cut off. "You know, you shouldn't talk to strangers kid. Especially if they're waiting on you to walk out the showers. Or you'll probably drop the soap and get a surprise you won't forget." He disappeared like smoke, leaving a panting blonde on the floor while Welt didn't know what the hell he should do.

And just his luck. The receptionist nearby decided to check as there was a lady moaning in the male shower rooms. She then saw Tilie panting on the ground while the perpetrator was without a top and looked suspicious. "Help! There's a molester at the male showers!"

Welt panicked and immediately ran away, cursing under his breath that he almost got arrested.

The next day they return to the lab to see what Ada has found in the soulium. Firstly, they find a text  *Follow the Freedom Trail, then visit Lexington in the midnight.*

Secondly, HA left another video, encouraging them to not blindly hate someone but to work hard to improve their judgement. She also tells them her real name, Harmony Ayette, with her surname Motier. A valkyrie back in 19th century that fought against Schicksal.

"Hmm, we're in quite a pickle. It seems conflict is inevitable. And if we find this relic, then a war might happen between the NA branch and Schicksal HQ." Lieserl thought that they would be hunted down by HQ due to the information they gathered.

"Yeah, good thing I returned to America back then and created mechs. This would surely lead to conflict." Tesla was having a headache, she wasn't just hung over. Their lives are also on the line now.

"Let's hurry then. We should go back to America and find the relic." Welt decisively said and prepared himself to protect the two. Remembering Emma's words.

They go back to America and take a walk along the Freedom Trail. They find recordings regarding the 12th herrscher of the previous era and her victims. Ending billions of lives back then.

They were horrified of the power of herrschers and thought that was when humanity had insane weapons to fight against them.

Welt then thought he would definitely not be able to reach that feat. It was surreal and it gave him a wake up call. As Emma said, his strength was not enough in the grand scheme of things.

"That's insane. How could a single individual end almost all of humanity in one fell swoop?" Tesla couldn't imagine it and Lieserl nodded solemnly. Thinking of the other herrschers that are still to come.

They also find a recording with HA's personal thoughts on the matter, she was a Valkyrie working for Schicksal, and got Niels Henrik Abel to translate some of the recordings that she found.

But, in 1829, the scholar was accused of false charges and was imprisoned by Schicksal. She was also falsely accused, but managed to escape Schicksal and keep the information inside the Soulium from them.

They then found a large sphere that was detected by Ada. "Ms. Lieserl, Ms. Tesla. There is a sphere that is hidden by a dimensional camouflage that uses the quantum sea. Should I open it?"

Ada said to them and the duo nodded immediately, excited to see a relic from the past. The A.I. lifted the camouflage and they saw a sphere that seemed to contain the abyss in itself. (pic here)

They then saw a note. *The Star of Eden. A fond memory of the elegant Gold who fizzled out like a star. Following the one that saved the world. V.V.* It was changed by Vill-v before she went to cryosleep. Honoring the memory of Eden who decided to stay at the previous era permanently.

An earthquake then rumbled the area they were in and Welt screamed before going unconscious. A strong electromagnetic honkai pulse washed all over America and the epicenter was New York.

Ada informed Einstein and Tesla and the two carried the unconscious Welt quickly to get to New York.

Earlier, Nancy received the final piece of the puzzle from Finn in how to use the equation they found near Yellowstone. It was apparently something that would help them turn honkai energy into heat.

"Yes! With this. We will prosper and humanity won't have problems with energy!" Nancy cheered with Schrodinger, it was a monumental step for mankind and they thought it would be something even Aesir won't be able to pass up on.

"I'll call it. The moonlight throne." Edison thought it was fitting as the equation was a prototype for something called the Selene.

They quickly tried to test it and the experiment went well on a small scale. Then Nancy tried adding a bit more. But the reactor she's built for the experiment started to have a massive build up of honkai energy.

"Wait. No, no! This isn't supposed to happen!" Nancy and Schrodinger tried to stop it, but the reactor kept on absorbing honkai energy. Once they've cut it off from the source, it was already a ticking time bomb that would erase Manhattan from the face of the earth.

It then released a strong honkai pulse. Schrodinger shielded Nancy and she screamed from the overload of honkai in her system. "Erwin! You damned idiot!" Nancy held her in her arms.

Schrodinger then started to transform. She had a mutation from her genes. And she had remnants of honkai genes from the previous era as a descendant of a low class MANTIS.

She started turning pale and some parts of her body turned bone white with a pink glow. It was a partial honkai cascade. (pic here)

"Dear lord... What happened to you Schrodinger." Nancy was in shock and Erwin just opened her eyes and locked on to a certain place. Feeling a large amount of honkai energy at the direction of Massachusettes.

She felt Welt's and the Star of Eden's honkai energy. Fortunately, with Ein's immaculate machinations. Everyone that received a change in their genes by the vaccines of Aesir also dampened any honkai genes that could be present.

But she was still acting on instinct and she immediately leaped away, quickly travelling to Lieserl and Tesla's location.

"Shit. Everything is going to crap! I must take this bomb to the shores!" But due to the honkai pulse. A sudden rip in space connected to the sea of quanta and she got weird powers from it, as Ein gave them protection secretly from null energy and honkai.

She then felt like she could contain it with her bare hands and immediately went to the ocean to explode the bomb there.

Nancy remembered Tesla's patent fee. But she didn't want to pay if she didn't do it herself. Nancy then tried sending a radio frequency to Tesla's phone as she held the impending explosion back.

Tesla, Einstein, and Welt were currently inside a car. And the red head was driving like a maniac to New York. But they feared that they won't arrive in time as Manhattan was hundreds of kilometers away.

They then saw tanks and emergency response teams headed to New York as well. "Hey, isn't that Reanna!?" Einstein looked closely and saw the blonde paladin of Schicksal hanging on a ladder of a chopper.

Welt, now conscious again. Tried getting their attention by firing at them. And with Reanna's reflexes, she blocked it and saw Welt waving at her. "Stop, we land for now."

The chopper landed and the trio immediately went up to her so they could go to New York quickly. But something came from the sky and raised a cloud of dust.

They saw Erwin in her partial cascade form. Horrifying Tesla and Einstein. Lieserl then took out the orb they got earlier and fiddled with it. Putting pressure on Erwin through gravity. But it was negligible for the transformed Schrodinger.

Erwin then lunged on Welt and they immediately got into a scuffle. "Herrscher, you're pathetic! Fight like a man you coward, hiding under a girl's skirt." She provoked him.

Welt then looked at Lieserl and at the orb she had on her. "Big sis Einstein... I must do this it seems. I'll bring back Schrodinger, I promise." Lieserl then thought this was an important moment for him and he would likely use it better than her anyway.

Welt then took hold of the divine key and felt it drain his honkai energy by a lot. Erwin then transformed her arm to what looks like a cannon and shot him with a beam of honkai energy. (pic here)

Welt used the gravity of Star of Eden and bent it to the side. Which proved to be a good idea as it chunked a wide area when it hit the ground.

He then willed multiple rifles and fired it at her. But her hands that were harder than steel deflected it all by widening. She then tried to go up to him and enter close combat.

But Reanna thought this farce was enough and threw abyss flower between them. She then ran to it and pointed it at Erwin, making her nervous from the lance's dangerous aura.

"I give, I give. I was just trying to get Welt to use his powers more. It would be important in helping Nancy, the project we did failed and is now a bomb that would surely turn Manhattan like Berlin." She immediately told them.

Reanna sighed and thought it was over the top. "Let's go then. I'll heal you up at the chopper, you look like a honkai beast and a human's love child."

They entered the chopper and Tesla's phone rang, she then heard Nancy's voice. "Hey Tesla. What's up? I believe you're on your way to Manhattan no?" She was unnaturally calm and it made the gang anxious.

"Yes, we will be there in a jiffy! Hold the bomb back as much as you can Nancy! We're in a chopper with Reanna! Hey, can you go any fucking slower!? New York would be toast in moments!" Tesla shouted and was sweating heavily due to stress.

"Sure, I'll be meeting you guys here. Though I might not be able to hold on." She chuckled and was currently deep in the ocean. "Prepare for a tsunami guys. And about your patent fee Tesla, I'm not paying for it." Nancy laughed and Tesla started to sob. Biting her lip until it bled as Einstein and Welt clenched their hands tightly.

"Can we sing one last time? How about Scarborough Fair?" She thought it was appropriate for her end.

They then sang as Tesla cried and gave a teary goodbye to Edison.

Edison then started to feel the heat and was sure the bomb was going to explode. "Goodbye everybody... Ein-nii, I didn't even had the chance to try and seduce you. I was waiting to grow up as a splendid lady. But I guess things don't go your way. And this is where my story ends." She started crying and the held back tears went out like water from a dam.

"This is unfair! I want to live! I want to spend more time with everybody!" She shouted and nobody answered. And when the reactor started to burn her hands, threatening to explode in a matter of seconds. She heard a click of a tongue.

"Yare yare. I just leave you guys for some time to work and I see this shit? Fucking hell, can't a guy work in peace over here?" Ein emerged from the abyss as he was expediting his plan.

He then crushed the reactor and Nancy saw his face. Ein ruffled her hair, while patting her head. She then went up to him and hugged him tight, nuzzling her head on his chest.

"Uwah! Ein-nii!" She felt relieved, thankful, and happy that he was there. "It's alright Nancy, have no fear. Ein is here, but I definitely recorded your monologue though. The others would have a field day with this." He teleported them up in the surface and looked at New York.

He then launched waves for a tsunami, but it won't really harm anyone and just phase through people and objects. Though buildings might get damaged.

She then watched in awe as he created a tsunami by waving his hand. "You'll be paying for damages by the way." He chuckled and watched over the others with narrowed eyes.

"It seems you'll be needing more than discipline Tilie. You disappoint me, I will wait for your grand plan. I know you'll achieve it, but things would be different." He said to no one in particular.

"Umm, Ein-nii. Can we talk about that recording? I can negotiate for it right?" She got nervous and thought Tesla would give her hell for it.

"Nuh uh, no can do baby girl. This is premium material. Let's go, we should watch how Welt does this no?" They then went to their location and watched how it would unfold.
