Remembering the past
Adia is doing her work at her office. Just as she finished her one file work, looked around and smiled brightly, It is been two months since she is working here in this company. She liked this work very much because she felt peace working here, compared to the life she lead before. Her previous work wore her out, she had to work to pay for her studies, stay, and the necessary things.
To the point many days she slept without food just not having money on her hand, here she getting paid off for the work she doing now with a handful of money. She can enjoy her time, no need to look for overtime work to manage her life.
At first, she thought she should buy an apartment for herself here so that she can be on her own. She does not have to lock her fluffy in the home like a caged dog. She felt bad for it. But she has no choice since Mrs. Cheng does not like it. And her fluffy is so good that it did not give her a hard time. That plays around her when she is at home. The fluffy made her lonely life get away with the stay of itself.
This gave her new life indeed as she expected. She sometimes gets worried about what if she has to leave this city for those reasons. She prayed in her mind every time nothing should happen like that. She had not contacted her friends in these two months and feels sad over that who helped her in her bad time. She did not mean it. She wanted them to have a troubleless life. If she stayed in touch with them they are also going to drag into her problems, again and again. Even though they did not the trouble she brought to their life, they did not think to leave her once.
She does not know how long is she going to keep them safe without contacting them. All she wants to do is keep the problem to herself not pull anyone in it. She is sure of one thing, that she has to do for some more time before everything gets solved and grandfather get well. Before leaving the house she lived, he try to tell her something which she assumes something important for her to know. That is why he struggled a lot to tell her. But they stopped her. Just thinking about the people who want her to die there made her want to kill them. She is not that kind of girl. Her grandparents asked her never to give to her anger unless she must ignore it.
She kept their words strongly in her mind, which helped her a lot of time when she go through the insults in her path. She left her house when she was eighteen. Rather than say she was chased out from that house, she also did not mind leaving the people and house. Her only regret is she can not see her grandfather and grandmother who loved her truly in that house. In these years she never had the chance to see them, either she heard of them.
She has to know what her grandfather wanted to tell her soon. Since she has much time for herself to think. In past years she has had so much to run she can not able to figure out a way for it. Now she has plenty of time and has many ways to know what is that. Before also she had but she do not want to use it. Now they are hunting down her and then, she should know what her grandfather wants her to know too. Cause she can not die without knowing it.
Her grandfather made progress in his health and has not recovered fully, he needs time this is the last news she heard of. Now she has someone who will help in this she wants to use that chance for the sake of his grandfather. Who knows what is, and maybe that was his last wish that she has to do.
"Thud"
She was brought back to her sense when the sound entered her ear and registered in her mind, she turns her to the direction to only know Jack dropped the files he bring with him. She rushed to help him gather the files.
"You know, you should have called me for help," she said him while picking up the files and sheets on the floor...
Jack, "I am a man I can hold many files. You are a girl and we should not trouble you with the small things," tells her back getting up after taking the files in his hands...
Adia rolled her eyes hearing him, "If not many I can help you with a few files," saying it put the files on his table...
Jack walked to his table after her, "you are the only girl here, so leave the hard work to us," joked her...
Adia looked at him like seriously. They all treat her like she is a newborn baby, like he said she is the only one in this department. After her joining also no girl get appointed in her department. Here everyone treats her like she is a fragile girl who can not handle the pressure. Even though it is new to her, she is not bothered about anything. She is doing her work only not unlike her past work where they will load her with their work. She is grateful for having the co-workers like them.
Jack glance at her, "did you finish the file work that has to be submitted tomorrow," asked her...
Adia, "Oh yes, just now I finished it. Do you want to take a look," asked him passing the file fetching from her table...
Jack, "What is the need, when I know how well you do that," asked her looking at the file in her hand. She has been working here past two months, she has to get scolded for any mistake till now. That is an impressive one. Why bother taking a look at the file?
