Friends or not?

Sunmi was kicked out of the house by two guards.

Kay just sighed as he was too tired to say anything and shook his head, already heading to his room. He took a warm shower before slipping in his pyjamas and plopped down on his bed. He was too tired to get up.

His whole body was aching and once he closed his eyes, he went into a deep slumber.

~~In The Morning~~

Zila woke up, going through her regular morning routine and left her house, heading to the office. She parked her car in the parking lot and entered the office building.

There, she was greeted by the employees and she greeted them back. She was wearing an off-shoulder top which clearly showed her slender shoulders. Every boy was staring but she didn't notice and continued walking confidently to her office.

She was just about to open the office door when someone called her.

She abruptly turned around. Standing behind her was Jude her closest friend from the company. They were very close, their relationship more of a sister-and-brother than best friends.

Zila trusted him, and they had no problems sharing secrets with one another.

Upon seeing him, her face brightened and a big grin stretched across her face.

He smiled in return.

"Hey, Z. How are you doing?" He asked, walking towards her.

"I am doing...fine, just fine. How about you? How can the great Jude remember me?" Zila jokes.

Jude started laughing at her joke.

"Of course! I can't forget you and the "thing"."

Zila pouted at this, Jude laughed. Then he suddenly stopped laughing and looked towards Zila with pleading eyes. Zila narrowed her eyes and realized that he wanted to say something to her so she gestured through her hand and Jude finally spoke.

"I broke up with my girlfriend."

Zila looked at him with disbelief but then suddenly got angry and yelled at him.

"Why? What happened?"

Jude's eyes teared up and he was so close to crying. He was a really kind hearted man and lived his girlfriend with all his heart. He started to look here and there but then replied to Zila

"She found someone else. She don't love me anymore."

Zila was now disgusted and was gating that girl to the core of her heart but then she looked towards Jude and she just wanted to cheer him up as she didn't wanted him to cry. There were many people there and she didn't wanted any of them to see Jude cry because of a girl.

She thought for a while and then a mischievous thought ran inside Zila's mind and she said

"You know I still love ice cream so let's go and grab one."

She giggled and Jude also joined her. His mood immediately lightened up. Zila knew that he really like to eat ice cream so that's why she offered him. Jude then replied her not before running a hand through his face.

"I want the chocolate one."

Zila chuckled at his childless and both of them again started laughing.

Kay was sitting in his office, eagerly waiting for Zila. He was checking a contract when he heard Zila laughing. His eyes widened as he heard the voice of a man with Zila.

And when he heard their laughs, his blood boiled. His jaw clenched and unclenched at the thought of Zila laughing and hanging out with another man other than him.

Kay had serious jealousy issues.

He immediately got up from his seat and stormed out of the office. He opened the door and saw Zila smiling and joking with a guy. This only made it worse, and added to the raging flames of anger Kay felt.

"What are you doing here! Don't you guys have work to do?" He boomed, eyes glaring angrily at Jude.

Both of them looked at Kay, shocked by his sudden presence.

He walked towards them and Zila became nervous, she gulped the lump down her throat. She knew that Kay was about to do something really immature and childish because he had jealousy issues, especially about the boys that surrounded her.

He gave a death glare to Zila before turning towards Jude and yelled at him making him flinch at his sudden tone.

"Get back to work! I don't pay you money to talk with girls. You come here to work, I don't want to see you flirting with girls here."

"No sir, I wasn't -

Kay rudely cut him off.

Jude immediately closed his mouth as he didn't want to face the wrath of his own boss. So he didn't say anything and kept quiet.

"Go and do your work. No need for your lame explanations."

Zila opened her mouth to say something to Kay because he was insulting one of her closest friends in front of her, and it was all her fault.

Zila was more than upset, she was sick of his behaviour to everyone she hung out with. Just because she was still his wife doesn't mean he could control her and everything surrounding her.

Jude left and only Zila and Kay left in the hall. Kay held her wrist at which she flinched.

She struggled and like every other time, tried to escape his grip but he didn't let her go and dragged her inside the office. He pushed Zila in the office, still holding her wrist.

"Kay! Stop it! I'm sick of this! I told you, we're going to get a divorce!" She yelled.

His anger caused him to bang the door so hard that Zia flinched in shock.

He dragged her in front of the wall and trapped her there, putting his hands on her left and right side.

Zila tried to calm herself down but wasn't able to do so because everything was happening too quickly, as she was now trapped between a wall and Kay.

She opened her mouth to say something but nothing came out. She wasn't able to utter a single word from her mouth because of how close they were.

She opened her mouth but nothing came out, causing her to start breathing heavily.

At last, Kay spoke. Breaking the silence in the whole room.

"When are you going to stop this? Do you know how I feel whenever I see you with someone else?"

"I... I..." She stuttered.

"TALK TO ME!" Kay bellowed. His voice echoing around the whole office.

She straightened herself up and looked straight into his eyes. He was taken back by such confidence. She then said the following sentences, "What do you mean by 'When I am going to stop?' It's you who needs to stop. I'm not the one that stalked you, or has jealousy issues and drags me away from all the men I hang out with. So when I say these words, you listen very closely. I am not your wife anymore. We're getting a divorce."

Just as she finished her sentence, she put her both hands on his chest and pushed him with all her might but he didn't even budge.

His expression changed from one with rage into sadness.

He pushed Zila's face upwards so that she would look at him. Their eyes now met and they looked at each other for a whole minute before Kay finally spoke.

"But we haven't got a divorce. So technically, I'm still your lawfully wedded husband. I saw you flirting with another man and if you keep up this attitude, he will lose his job but you will be in huge trouble. So before doing anything, remember that." He whispered in her ear, causing tingles up her spine.

Then, she finally was able to say something. "I can talk to whoever I want, whenever I want."

"Go ahead and try, see what happens. I could always fire the men, you hang out with. Do you want that to happen to him?" He simply asked.

Hearing Kay threatening her with her friend's jobs, a single tear rolled down her silky smooth skin, before she started to sob and cry.

Kay's eyes immediately softened. He didn't mean to make her cry. He simply wanted to scare her. He let go of her hands, held her hand this time very softly and made her sit on the sofa.

She wasn't in the mood to fight anymore and sat on the office sofa. She was so close to giving up. Kay had threatened her with everything. Her job. Her friends. Her social life. Everything Kay hadn't realized that he was hurting her from the inside. Her mind was just wandering around and she wasn't sure what to do now?

He smiled widely when she sat down, he crouched down and held her hands in his.

"Look...
