Understanding The Current Situation Part - 05

"Now that I've calmed down a bit, Minerva where are we now. Aunt' Mel told me that we were warping with a random coordinate. Can you please tell me where we are now and what's our probability to return to Earth and get some revenge." Shiro asked Minerva in an anxious tone,

"We are in Mars's orbit. More specifically we are anchored on Phobos Mars's moon."

"Wait, what!!!" Shiro's eyes became wide with the unexpected news. "I thought aunt Mel said we were suppose to arrive at a random destination, but what's this suppose to mean? Why are we still in Mars's orbit." Shiro asked Minerva in a puzzled tone.

"This is indeed incomprehensible. I was also under the impression that we would arrive somewhere random but we warped out exactly where we were before warping in."

"This is good news then isn't it? We can contact Earth and tell them everything. And punish those traitors." Shiro became excited at the thought of exacting his revenge.

"Negative. we can't contact Earth at the moment." Minerva's words poured cold water on Shiro's excitement.

"What!! We are in the solar system why can't we contact Earth."

"Shiro calm down."

"Shiro let Minerva finish. I'm sure she has her reason. Unlike us, as an AI she wouldn't do anything without reason."

"Affirmative Rin."

"Sorry about that. Please continue Minerva." Hearing Rin Shiro forced himself to calm down.

"As soon as we came out of warp I checked our location and found out that we are still in the same place, but according to what I understand and the readings from the ship's activity log, that is not possible. As such I tried to connect to our orbiters around Mars, none of them responded. Then I tried to connect to the quantum satellite orbiting Earth, the result was same, no response. Then I did a scan for available orbiter around Mars, found three and none of them belongs to Tachibana corporation. and the amount of orbiter orbiting around Mars is too few compared to the data available in the ship's database. It doesn't match with the record. As such I tried to establish communication with any available network and found out the current date. As a result I had to stop the attempt."

"Wait just a second you stopped your attempt just because of the date. Is the date too different from the date of our departure."

"Affirmative. The current date from what I found out is twenty five of April in the year 2006. Because of this huge discrepancy I have decided to terminate any attempt of communication. And have been waiting for further Instructions from the highest ranking personnel onboard. Your privileges' on the ship was similar to your parents. But before Melinda went into coma she upgraded your privilege to above everyone. As such I went dark until you woke up and give further instruction."

"Wait, my privileges were upgraded? Can aunt Mel do that?"

"Affirmative. In case of your parents absence she has the highest authority. As such she indeed had enough authority to upgrade your access level." Minerva clarified Shiro's doubt.

"So I can do whatever I want with this ship and no one will stop me huh!" Shiro was totally speechless with the sudden news.

"Affirmative. Please give further instructions."

"Sigh." Shiro gave a long sigh. " Your decision was correct. If what you said is true. We don't want to alert Earth of our presence. But it is also unrealistic for us to stay like this forever. As such we will infiltrate the network slowly so that they can't find us. It should be quite easy for us considering we are many decades ahead of current Earth's technology. Am I correct about that Minerva?"

"Affirmative." Minerva agreed to what Shiro said.

"So I want you to infiltrate and identify those three orbiter you found orbiting Mars and confirm the date. And retrieve any data you can from their data bank stealthily. It doesn't matter if it takes a bit of time but try not to leave any traces behind. Furthermore don't try to establish any communication with Earth." Shiro gave a series of instruction to Minerva.

"Shiro Shiro." Rin started to call Shiro to get his attention.

"Hmm. yes Rin?" Shiro looked at chibi Rin.

"I think you should let us do the infiltration, as your neuro linker have this ability which let us do just that." Rin proposed to Shiro wanting to test the ability of their neuro linker.

"Can you really do that? You have never done that before have you? What would you do if you were to leave any traces?" Shiro expressed his doubt toward Rin's suggestion.

"We won't. Besides Minerva can help us."

"Yes Shiro I agree with Rin." Arturia expressed her support for Rin.

"Fine. Minerva can you please help them and make sure that there is no complications."

"Affirmative. I'll monitor their activity for safety reason."

"Thanks Shiro!! You are the best." Rin's face beamed into smile hearing Shiro.

"Hmm, the best." Arturia gave a nod and small smile.

"Chuckle. Ok ok you guys will make me blush at this rate. Go do your thing we need to know our current situation as soon as possible."

""Ok""

As soon as Shiro told them multiple small holographic displays appeared in front of Rin and Arturia along with keyboard.

"Minerva we are going to access the ship's network. Please grant us access."

"Access granted."

"Lets start"

"Hmm."

Rin and Arturia started typing away on their keyboards multiple windows kept popping in and out of existence with lines of codes running on them. Shiro looked at them with a light smile on his face. And asked Minerva.

"Minerva is there any window here? I want to see Mars."

"This is a fortified room. But we do have a small window."

"Then please can you open it?"

"Affirmative. Removing the shield above the window. Removing the external and internal armored panel. The window is open."

As soon as Minerva said this a small panel moved away from the wall, reveling a small glass window. As soon as the window appeared Shiro went toward it and looked outside. What he saw is the red planet.

"Wow!! it's beautiful."

"Beautiful."

Both Arturia and Rin stopped their work and looked at the red planet and exclaimed.

"Yes it's beautiful." Shiro said in sad tone.

"Shiro why do you sound so sad?" Asked Rin.

"I was supposed look at this scene with my Mom and Dad. But now they are not here."

"Hey you will be able to watch it with them again when they wake up."

"Hmm it'll be even better than. Cheer up."

"I guess you guys are right. They are still alive so I'll have plenty of chances in the future. Besides I still have you guys with me here."

"We will always be with you."

"We will."

"We better get back to work." Rin and Arturia went back to infiltrating the orbiters.

"Hey Minerva, if we are really in the past then I guess we can't get our revenge on those traitors, Now can we?" Shiro asked Minerva the question that is bothering him the most at the moment.

(A/N: I'll make something clear as some of you asked or mentioned that the MC seems to be a crybaby or he is too attached to his parents. First of all he is not a crybaby. And of course he is attached to his parents. What do you expect from someone who didn't have any friends and was stuck in his hospital room mostly having his parents and relatives as companions/friends. And this is just the start. his character will develop. Also I dislike the idea where you simply ignore family or outright forget them. You can be badass while still having interactions with your family. I'm trying to create a novel which has some realism in it, I'll probably fail but well I'll try. But remember he is still a child and did not have much interaction with people. Although he has a lot of useful and useless knowledge due to his brain. As always thanks for reading.)
