As Fubuki sauntered back to join the group, Orion couldn't help but feel a sense of accomplishment. He leaned back in his chair, relishing the warmth of the sun and the vibrant energy of the women around him.
It was so early in the morning that the pool was still cold. Orion, comfortable in his chair, wasn't exactly eager to plunge into the chilly water just yet. He never was a fan of cold swims. But as he lounged there, he saw his girlfriends exchange mischievous glances. The next moment, he was seized in a coordinated effort that was almost tactical in its execution.
His head was pressed against Nojiko's bosom, while Hinata and Nami each grabbed an arm and sandwiched it. Vivi and Winry took hold of his legs, and Tatsumaki spearheaded the entire operation with a gleam in her eye. Fubuki stood to the side, her smile one of pure, unadulterated amusement.
"Honestly, plotting against me? That's bold, even for you," Orion chuckled as he found himself lifted off the chair.
"Boldness runs in the family," Tatsumaki said, leading the charge toward the pool.
"Seems like a 'cool' way to start the day," Vivi quipped, laughter bubbling in her voice.
"Ready for the plunge?" Winry asked, her eyes twinkling.
Orion smirked, gathering his thoughts for a split second. They think they can catch me off guard? Two can play this game.
In the next moment, he was airborne, sailing toward the cold water. The girls released him and, without missing a beat, dived in after him, giggling and laughing, their splash ensuring that he was submerged in the icy pool.
As he resurfaced, he gave them a look of faux indignation. "Really? A sneak attack?"
"What's the matter? Too cold for you?" Hinata teased, her eyes glinting with mirth.
"Maybe you needed to cool off," Nami added, unable to contain her laughter.
Orion grinned, feeling the cool water now invigorating rather than chilling. "Alright, you've had your fun. But you should know, if you dish it out, you have to be able to take it."
Before they could react, Orion lunged in different directions, splashing copious amounts of water on each of them. His moves were swift and effective, turning the pool into a churning whirlpool of laughter and playful shrieks.
Tatsumaki tried to retaliate with a well-timed splash, but Orion dodged it effortlessly. "Missed me," he taunted before splashing her back twice as hard.
Fubuki, still lounging by the side, chuckled at the spectacle. "Seems like you're getting a taste of your own medicine, sis."
"Trust me, I've got plenty of recipes," Tatsumaki retorted, her eyes narrowing playfully at Orion.
Orion caught her gaze and grinned. "Oh, I believe you. But so do I, and I intend to share."
"Is that a promise or a threat?" Fubuki asked, joining the conversation from the sideline.
"Let's call it a promise with a splash of intrigue," Orion said, winking at her.
Orion let the water buoy him as he reclined, floating on the surface. The laughter and conversations around him provided the perfect ambiance—like background music in a movie where he felt perfectly cast. His eyes scanned his girlfriends as they swam, chatted, and splashed around. Then, Hinata glided over to him, her movements smooth and graceful like a mermaid.
She looped her arms around his neck, her eyes capturing his with a serene gaze. "You're awfully quiet," she whispered, her lips a hair's breadth away from his.
"Sometimes it's nice to step back and admire the view," he said, the corners of his mouth quirking into a grin.
Hinata smiled back, and just as their lips were about to meet, a splash erupted next to them, effectively breaking the moment. It was Tatsumaki, sporting a mischievous grin. "Oops, sorry, didn't see you two lovebirds there."
Hinata laughed, pulling away but not before giving Orion a quick peck on the lips. "Well, I'll leave you to deal with your fiery girlfriend here," she said, her voice tinged with amusement.
Tatsumaki slid into Hinata's previous position, her eyes filled with playful defiance. "Trying to hoard him all to yourself, huh?"
"Jealous much?" Orion quipped, pulling her closer and planting a soft kiss on her forehead.
"No, just keeping you on your toes," Tatsumaki shot back, returning his kiss with one of her own.
Orion felt hands on his shoulders, and he turned to see Winry, her eyes sparkling. "Mind if I join?"
Tatsumaki huffed and let go of Orion, but not without sending a playful splash in Winry's direction. "Fine, but make it quick. I'm not done with him yet."
Winry chuckled and climbed onto Orion's back, wrapping her arms around his neck. "You're so tense," she observed, giving his shoulders a little squeeze. "You need to relax."
"Would you believe me if I said it's hard to relax when I'm trying to juggle the attention of multiple beautiful women?" Orion joked.
Winry laughed. "Well, when you put it that way, I can see why."
As they floated together, Orion felt the warmth of another body close in from the front. Vivi intertwined her legs around his waist, effectively sandwiching him between her and Winry. She kissed his cheek, whispering, "Don't forget, you still have some attention to pay here, too."
Before Orion could respond, Nami swam up to the trio, her face gleaming with a mischievous smirk. "Looks like a full house. Care if I join?"
Winry laughed and relinquished her position on Orion's back. "Alright, I'll share. But only because it's you."
Orion was about to engage in some playful banter with Vivi when he felt Nami's arms replace Winry's around his neck. "You look like you're enjoying yourself," Nami noted, her eyes filled with mirth.
"Hard not to, given the company," Orion responded, stealing a quick kiss from her.
From the corner of his eye, he saw Nojiko approach. "Mind if I steal my sister back? You're hogging all the good ones," she teased.
Nami rolled her eyes but complied, uncoiling from Orion and swimming over to her sister. "Fine, but only because I love you."
Nojiko winked at Orion before pulling Nami away, leaving room for yet another shift in company. Before he knew it, he was enveloped in a tight hug from behind. It was Fubuki, and her voice was tinged with amusement. "Well, looks like it's finally my turn."
Orion chuckled. "I was beginning to wonder when you'd join in on the fun."
"Didn't want to steal my sister's thunder," Fubuki teased.
"But you're alright with stealing mine?" Orion quipped.
Fubuki laughed, a sound as refreshing as the water surrounding them. "If you're offering, how could I resist?"
