Hailey Xander is a young and beautiful lady in her late 20s who lost her parents in a fatal accident. Before her parents died, they willed all their assets to her, being their only heir. After the death of her parents, heartbroken Hailey got married to Ezra Cyrus, her childhood crush. On their wedding night, Ezra tricked Hailey to transfer all her inheritance to him, Hailey genuinely loved and trusted Ezra, so she agreed and signed the papers without reading them. After Ezra gained full rights to the Xander's assets, Ezra and his mother began maltreating Hailey. Hailey was abused and maltreated by Mrs. Lydia, Ezra's mom, she did not receive any love from her husband, rather Ezra brought home his mistress, Hailey's best friend, Sasha Parker. Hailey was treated like a slave until they decided to throw her out on the street. After Hailey left, she found a job as a cleaner at “KING's ENTERPRISE”, the biggest and most powerful company in the country. Leonardo King, the CEO of the company, was persuaded by his Grandmother to marry Hailey. He approached her and offered her a deal,“ Marry me and I will help you get back everything you lost”.
Meeting my crush
When Hailey got to Sasha's office, she grabbed her phone and called Sasha. Hello!! Bestie "I'm parked outside, can you come down, let's go grab something to eat? I am starving", Hailey said, Alright give me a few minutes. I will be with you soon, Sasha said from the other end. Okay dear, Hailey replied and ended the call.
A few minutes later, Hey! Bestie Sasha said while knocking on Hailey's window. Hailey, who was lost in thought, regained herself and opened the door for Sasha to enter, Sasha entered and then asked, "So tell me best friend, how was your first day at work?". "It was fine, but I couldn't stop thinking about my parents, my Dad's office kept reminding me of my parents," Hailey explained. "Why don't you call an interior decorator to work on the office, "Sasha suggested. "I don't think I want that, don't worry, I will be fine", Hailey said.
So, where are we heading to? Sasha asked, "I don't know, why don't you recommend it, "Hailey replied. "Let's go to Meet and drink", Sasha proposed, is that not a bar? Hailey asked. "Yes it's a bar, come on let's go grab a drink ", Sasha said. "I can't drink, certainly not today. I am starving," Hailey said. "Alright, so where are we heading to?" Sasha asked. "Mr Jeff's kitchen", Hailey replied while driving. Sasha quickly brought out her phone and texted someone, after she was done texting, she deleted the message and dropped her phone back.
When they got to Mr Jeff's restaurant, Hailey parked her car thanks to the security guy, who directed her to where to park. "Let's go inside", Hailey said to Sasha, who was busy looking around as if she were lost. Okay, then they both went inside and quickly made their order, while they were still eating, Sasha quickly excused herself, then went to the bathroom to make a call. She came back and pretended like nothing happened and continued eating.
When they were done eating, Hailey called the waiter to bring her bill. The waiter told her that someone had already paid for their food. Hailey was surprised and demanded to know who paid for their food, so she could at least thank the person. The waiter directed her to the table of a young man who was still having his dinner." Hi," Hailey greeted, The young man who was eating stopped and raised his head. "Oh!!! It's you, Ezra ", Hailey said. "Hey Hailey, it's been a while", Ezra responded.
"Yeah!! It's been… Hailey was still trying to complete her sentence when Ezra cut her short and said "6yrs". "Yeah!!, it's been that long, so how have you been?" Hailey asked. "I am doing great, Ezra replied, and you?". "I'm fine," she answered. Sasha clears her throat, so she could get Hailey's attention. "Oh!! I'm sorry, this is my best friend Sasha", Hailey said. Introducing Sasha to Ezra, Sasha extends her hand to Ezra for a handshake, and he shakes her and then said, "I'm Ezra Cyrus Hailey's childhood friend". "Nice to meet you Ezra", Sasha said, "The pleasure is mine" he replied.
"Okay!! Thank you for paying for our dinner", Hailey said. "It's not a problem dear", Ezra replied. "Okay then I will leave you to enjoy the rest of your dinner", Hailey said. "Can I have your number? Ezra asked Hailey.
"Sure!!," Hailey replied. Then they both exchanged contact and then Ezra said" I will keep in touch". "Okay, I will be expecting your call", Hailey said, then left the restaurant with Sasha. They got into the car and drove off, Hailey then dropped Sasha at her place before heading Home, "Goodnight sweetie", Hailey said. "Bye, Bestie," Sasha replied.
After dropping Sasha home, she drove home. When Hailey got home, she called the housekeeper, "Grace". "Yes, ma," she answered. "Don't bother serving dinner I ate before coming back," okay ma", Grace replied.
Hailey went to her room, took her bath, and then lay on her bed. She was about to sleep when her phone rang, she lazily grabbed her phone and answered the call. Hello, She said, "Hi, it's Ezra", the caller replied. "Oh, Sorry, I didn't check the name on the screen before answering," Hailey apologized. "It's nothing, I just want to know if you got home safely and also know if you will be free this weekend," Ezra said.
"Are you asking me out on a date?"Hailey asked. "Hmm. Yes, I'm asking you out on a date, so what's your response?" Ezra adds. "Okay, I will be free this weekend", Hailey replied. "Okay, I will come to pick you up then. "Do you still stay in your family house?" Ezra inquired. " Yes," Hailey replied. "Okay, then the dinner date is by 7 pm, "Ezra said. "Alright, Goodnight", Hailey said. She ended the call smiling and said, "Seems like Ezra wants to give us a chance, finally my childhood crush feels something for me" then She slept off.
