Leonardo opened his eyes and gazed at his new wife, Hailey. She was still fast asleep, her chest rising and falling gently with every breath. He couldn't help but admire her beauty. The sun was slowly rising, casting a warm glow on her skin, making her look even more radiant. He stroked her hair softly and placed a tender kiss on her forehead.

Just as he was about to cuddle up next to her and go back to sleep, his phone rang, jarring him out of his reverie. He quickly grabbed his phone and stepped out of the bed, not wanting to disturb his sleeping wife.

"Hey, Peter. What's up?" he asked, trying to keep his voice low.

"Sorry to disturb you so early, Sir, but I have some urgent news," his assistant Peter said.

Leonardo's heart sank. He knew that whenever Peter called him this early, it was never good news. "What is it?" he asked, his voice betraying his anxiety.

"Sir, it's about your wife's properties. According to the Private Investigator. Ezra, her ex-husband, sold all of her properties yesterday" Peter said.

"What? How could he do that?" Leonardo asked, incredulous. "I'm not sure, Sir. But he's been having financial troubles with his Company lately, so he might have sold them off to invest in his Company," Peter said.

Leonardo clenched his fists in anger. He knew how much those properties meant to Hailey. She had inherited them from her parents, and they were her only connection to her past. And it was because of the properties that Hailey agreed to marry him. He couldn't let Ezra take that away from her.

" First buy back all the properties in my wife's name. Then get me the details of the sale, Peter. I want to know everything. I will make sure that Bastard pays dearly" Leonardo said, his voice firm.

"Okay sir, I'll get right on it," Peter said. Leonardo hung up and paced back and forth in the hallway, trying to figure out what to do next. He couldn't let Hailey find out about this. She had already been through so much, and he didn't want to add to her troubles.

He took a deep breath and composed himself before heading back to the bedroom. Hailey was still sleeping soundly, her breathing even and steady. He crawled back into bed, careful not to wake her up. He lay there for a few minutes, watching her sleep, before he felt her stir. "Hey," she mumbled, her eyes still closed.

"Hey, sleepyhead," he said, kissing her cheek.

She opened her eyes and smiled at him. "What time is it?" she asked, rubbing her eyes.

"It's still early. Go back to sleep," he said, pulling her closer to him.

She snuggled up to him, and they lay there for a few minutes, enjoying each other's company. But Leonardo's mind was elsewhere. His mind raced with thoughts of how to make Ezra, Shasa, and Lydia pay for the pain they had caused Hailey. He couldn't believe how heartless they had been, taking away everything that mattered to her. He vowed to himself that he would make them pay dearly for their actions.

As he lay there, lost in thought, he heard Hailey stir beside him. He turned to look at her and saw that she was still asleep, her chest rising and falling gently with each breath. He couldn't help but admire her beauty, even in her sleep. He leaned over and placed a soft kiss on her forehead, hoping to convey his love and support for her. Just then, his stomach rumbled, reminding him that they had skipped dinner the night before. He glanced at the clock and saw that it was already mid-morning. He decided to call the hotel's room service and order a luxurious breakfast for himself and Hailey.

As he picked up the phone, his thoughts drifted back to Ezra, Shasa, and Lydia. He knew that he had to be careful in his revenge, as he didn't want to cause any more pain to Hailey. He thought about all the ways he could make them suffer, from exposing their lies and secrets to ruining their reputations. But he knew that revenge wasn't the answer. It wouldn't bring back Hailey's properties or undo the pain they had caused her. He needed to focus on helping Hailey heal and move on from this experience.

He ordered the breakfast, making sure to include all of Hailey's favourite foods. Grandma Mary had told him all about Hailey including her favourite foods. Then he crawled back into bed, taking Hailey into his arms. He closed his eyes and breathed in her sweet scent, feeling a sense of calm wash over him.

As he held her, he knew that he would do anything to protect her and make her happy. He vowed to himself that he would be her rock, her support, and her haven, no matter what challenges they faced in the future.

The breakfast arrived shortly after, and they enjoyed it together, savouring the delicious flavours and enjoying each other's company.
