Taken Away
We opened the door to the house and was met by our parents, our beta and the Alpha.
"Ah there they are" the Alpha spoke. He spoke with elegance and dominance.
"Welcome Alpha" we both said and bowed simultaneously.
"And well trained I see" he praised.
Anyone who was a member of the Stealth manes pack knows what would happen to them if they pissed off Alpha Deucalion.
"Do what do I owe this pleasure? If you had announced your arrival, I would have had my wife prepare something" my dad said.
"I don't need none of that" he waved his hand dismissively, "you know exactly why I'm here" he stopped in front of me "so this is her" he caressed my cheek. "The time has come for you to pay your debt" he said.
"But Alpha, sir I-"
"But nothing! We made a deal" he turned to me, "you are coming with me girl"
"Huh?" confusion was written on my face.
"Dear what deal is he talking about?" my mom's shaky hand gripped my dad's "Where is he taking Anastasia?"
"I'm surprised you never told your wife about it" Deucalion said.
"Tell me what? What's going on?" she pressed.
"Do it. Now!" he commanded using his Alpha voice even Mikey and I could feel it.
"Darling I…" he hesitated "I promised our first child to him"
"What? What do you mean you promised our child to him?" I could see the anger in her eyes.
"I was responsible for the death of his unborn child. If I hadn't been distracted that night, if I had done my job and kept his mate from harm, she wouldn't have miscarried, his child wouldn't be dead and I would have still been the beta of the pack. I couldn't live with myself"
"So, you decided to give my daughter away like some apology gift!?" Mom yelled.
"She's my daughter too, this hurts me just as much as it hurts you"
"No! I am not letting my baby go" she hugged me "isn't there something else you want? I'll give you anything just don't take away my only girl" she pleaded.
He shook his head.
"I could have taken her, from the day she was born but my mate convinced me against it. She didn't want you to feel the sorrow she felt with her child. Knowing that you can't be with them" he had a distant look on his face and as quickly as it came, it vanished. "So I gave you 18 years, 18 years to watch her grow before I came for her"
"No" my mom said clutching me tightly.
"And now that time has come"
"No please" the Beta pulled my mom from me. "NO!" she sobbed.
"Wait don't I get a say in this?" I asked.
"You don't" he nodded to the man beside him and he grabbed me by the arm and pulled me away from my family.
"No let me go" I kicked and screamed. "What right do you have to tear me from my family?"
"I am your Alpha" he roared and I cowered in fear "there's you're fucking right"
"Let's go" the Beta pulled me into the car and all I could do was stare at my family from the car window.
"Can I at least say goodbye?" my voice cracked.
"No!" he immediately denied.
"Alpha" the Beta called and stared at him. I could tell they were communicating through the mind link.
He turned away his head reluctantly, "I give you five minutes"
A smile of relief crept up my face and I ran out of the car towards my family.
I wrapped Mikey in a big hug. "Did he let you go?" Mom asked hopefully.
"No he only let me say goodbye for a bit" I said with tears in my eyes.
"Who's going to annoy the hell out of me if you're not around?" he asked.
"I'll find a way, there's no way I'm letting someone else take that role" I squeezed him before hugging my mom.
"Oh my baby" tears streamed down her eyes.
"Mommy I don't want to go" I hugged her tighter.
"I know, neither do I. I promise to visit you at every chance I get" I nodded. "Text me and call me every day okay?"
"I will"
I turned towards my father. "I don't expect you to say anything to me. I deserve it. I-" I cut him off by hugging him.
"It's alright I forgive you. I get it, you felt responsible and did what you taught was right, even though it was not the right way to go about it. I love you and I'll miss you too"
"You forgive me? Even your mom won't forgive me for this. I don't deserve a daughter like you" he tightened his hold around me.
"Of course you do You raised me to be this way"
He connected out foreheads. "I'm sorry for this"
"I already forgave you didn't I? And plus, I won't be gone forever, once I find my mate I'll have to leave right? We'll be together again soon"
My mom and Mickey joined in and hugged us.
"Time's up" Beta called.
"I guess it's time to go" I walked a few steps and turned around "I'll be back soon okay?" I waved and made my way to the car.
I watched the frame of my house get smaller until I could no longer see it.
"Well I hoped you enjoyed tearing a family apart" I told the Alpha not caring whether if he'll get mad or not. He didn't respond though, just crossed his hands and closed his eyes with his head tossed backwards.
I bowed my head and bit my lower lip trying to stop the tears from coming.
