Moment of crisis

The direction of the spirit's escape was the only room that hadn't been searched yet.

Knowing that the apparition had been severely injured, Bob and Chris, who had been hiding at the back, rushed ahead of Locke with the almost broken myst orbs in their hands. The grey crystals that fell from the apparition after its death were also known as soul crystals. They were valuable items that could be used by both casters and knights.

The two of them hadn't made any progress so far. In order to get a bigger share of the spoils, Bob and Bob were especially proactive.

Fortunately, the half-moon bracelet that Angelina had given him before emitted a faint light the moment the sound wave approached.

It helped him reduce the strength of the sound wave attack, which allowed him to barely fight.

Bob and Chris kicked the door open, causing a large amount of dust and cobwebs to fall. What greeted them wasn't an injured spirit waiting to be slaughtered, but an even sharper sound wave attack.

The sound wave attack was close to materializing. The pale lines were formed when the sound wave came into contact with the surrounding air and emitted a strong light.

Once hit, it wouldn't just be a shock to the brain, it would also cause severe lacerations. Even sturdy armour wouldn't be able to withstand it.

"Argh!" Locke groaned in pain. Not only was his armour torn, but the infrasonic shock also cut through his skin. More importantly, he bore the brunt of the impact.

Blood gushed out of his ears and even his eyes were scarlet. Relying on the tenacity he had developed over the years, he forced himself to cry out in pain.

There was a faint white glow on his chest. The half-moon bracelet Angelina had given him played a perfect role in protecting him from the impact of the sound waves. Although the pale white barrier wasn't thick and didn't last long, it helped him get through the most uncomfortable few seconds.

As for Billie and Daenie who were pinned under him, they were protected by both the bracelet and his body. Apart from the slight impact, their skin wasn't even scratched.

As he rolled, his blood splattered all over the ground, staining Billie and Daenie's green and blue dresses red.

Locke didn't have time to pay attention to where he was grabbing the two girls. If he had taken a closer look, he would've realised that he was holding their soft breasts.

Unfortunately, he immediately let go before he could feel the softness in his hands. With one hand on the ground, he quickly pulled out the short wand he had hidden under his right thigh with the other.

Angelina had given it to him before he left Felor. Apparently, it was made by her mentor, and it could cast two fireballs.

Now that he knew how to use it, he didn't care about anything else. He activated his impetus and an orange fireball the size of a washbasin appeared in front of him. Bang! He quickly launched the fireball in the direction of the sound attack.

At this moment, Joaquin chanted and bit her tongue, causing a mouthful of blood to spurt out. She also sprinkled some magic spices on her hand, causing a fireball as big as a human head to appear and shoot towards the area ahead of her.

Two orange fireballs, one big and one small, collided with each other and smashed towards the target behind the dust in the dark room.

"Skeletal Wall!" Another greyish-white bone wall appeared, but it didn't last long. The two fireballs didn't even manage to detonate in advance.

The fireball only left two holes on the bone wall. It continued to fly toward the two ghosts behind the bone wall.
