CHAPTER 40

In unison they shouted 'MARSHALS' and exited their safe haven. They charged to their victory or death, the future will decide.

They reached the organizations main gate, but didn't stop there, they kept running, and the combined force of an energetic army. the door was soon blown of its hinges, the fighting began, it was a fierce one, no one knew which bullet swished near them, everything was a blur, distinguishing friend and foe was difficult, but Hazel only searched for the person she knew she needed to end, her downfall will mean crushed hearts in the enemy's ranks, if they had a heart, that is.

Hazel looked around for the leader and then it dawned on her, she wouldn't be out here, risking her life, instead she would be trying to run, and she dashed for the stairs.

The helicopter's voice reached her before she reached the last landing, she saw something that made her smirk, 13 man standing in perfect unison making a wall, so that no one can reach their boss, hiding behind the skirts of greater men and women was the sign of the real cowards. Hazel pulled out her sword and her hands worked without the need of being thought about what she was doing, she was trained enough to focus on the more important details during a war, for example, the leader was escaping, the copter's blade had started moving.

A man came up behind her and sliced at her arm, leaving a deep gash, she sliced at his feet, she didn't strike at anyone to kill, but instead to injure them enough so they couldn't get up to fight once again.

She pushed 3 off the roof and as soon as the wall thinned enough for her to get to the copter, she pushed through.

To her disdain, she saw the copter was already rising 'Not today' she muttered as she jumped towards it, her hand barely got hold of the rod, protruding out of its back, she was dangling dangerously from only one hand, her hand was sweaty, the other hand had the sword in it, the pilot started swaying the copter to get rid of her, and she knew, falling from this height, which was 700 feet, she saw the building and realized the best option would be to let go there, she wouldn't be able to hang on for more than a few minutes, as soon as they got close to the building, she threw a small grenade inside of the helicopter and let go, the copter burst above her head before she even touched the roof of the building. She looked above as everybody's head turned in her direction, she then looked towards the crowd, who was extremely silent, 'A NEW ERA OF MARSHALLS' she yelled an battle recommenced, but it mostly consisted of people running away from her squad, she smiled as she watched the scene from above, but it wasn't the end, and she knew that.
