Chapter 13

Hadrian was now walking back and forth,he was slightly worried because his friend and recuiter Fox didn't show up in time.

Hadrian was pretty sure,he git caught up in some trouble.

Oreius showed up and asked"What is the matter,my prince?"

Hadrian replied"It is Fox,he hasn't returned yet.I told Horus do check the area where he was last spotted."

Horus was falcon friend of Hadrian.

Oreius nodded, while just minutes Horus was see flying towards them, Hadrian held out his arm and Horus swooped in and took his position between Hadrian'a wrist and elbow and said"Sire,I bring bad news.The witch has turned him into stone and he is near the waterfall."

Hadrian with a gesture of the arm on which the bird patiently sat, launched Horus into the sun-ruled sky.

He then morphed into his pheonix form, which was a large swan-sized scarlet magical bird with red and gold plumage, along with a golden beak and talons, black eyes, and a tail as long as a peacock's. Its scarlet feathers glowed faintly in darkness, while its golden tail feathers were hot to the touch.

Hadrian flew around and found his friend as a statue.Hadrian quickly landed next to Fox and morphed back to his human form.

Hadrian felt sadness seeing his friend, who risked his life to recruit more fighters for the army to be in such state.

Hadrian waved his hands over the Statue of Fox,

a tiny streak of flame creeping along the edge of the statue.It was like that now. For a second after a tiny streak of gold began to run along his white marble back—then it spread—then the color seemed to lick all over him as the flame licks all over.Then the statue of Fox came to life.

Fox was surprised looked at himself and then Hadrian saying"Thank you, my prince."

Hadrian shook his head and replied"I told you to call me Hadrian."

Fox chuckled and said"Yes, you did."

Then he turned serious and added"I saw the boy Edmund with the witch before I was petrified.He tried to save me, but the price was Aslan's army location was ousted."

Hadrian was slightly worried and muttered"Then, she would be building an army of her own."

Fox nodded agreeing with Hadrian on this, they had a big fight on there hands.

Hadrian apparted back with Fox and told his father everything.While Aslan hummed and said"We have to save the boy from her clutches soon."

Hadrian nodded and asked"Should I go save him."

As an shook his head and replied"Not, right now.We have to find there camp first, since they will be keeping Edmund close to them.

Hadrian frowned and asked"Also, I heard Tash is seen again at the borders."

He remembered Fox,almost turn pale mentioning this to him.In shadow of the trees in the far side of the clearing,something was moving.It was gliding very slowly northward,at first glance you might have mistaken it for smoke, for it was grey and you could see things through it. But the deathly smell was not the smell of smoke.

Also, this thing kept its shape instead of billowing and curling as smoke would have done. It was roughly the shape of a man but it had the head of a bird; some bird of prey with a cruel, curved beak. It had four arms which it held high above its head, stretching them out Northward as if it wanted to snatch all Narnia in its grip; and its fingers—all twenty of them—were curved like its beak and had long, pointed, bird-like claws instead of nails. It floated on the grass instead of walking, and the grass seemed to wither beneath it.

Hadrian felt a chill down his spine,when Aslan first told him about Tash.

Tash the Demon of Calormen,the harbinger of death.He was the chief deity of the national religion of Calormen, and was especially favoured by the ruling classes; Calormen's capital city that was named Tashbaan in his honour, and the nobility of the empire - the Tisrocs, Tarkaans and Tarkheenas - often claimed to be descended from Tash.

The worship of Tash was the only formal religious practice described within the World of Narnia: Idols were made in his likeness; there was at least one temple dedicated to him (within Tashbaan); and specific rituals were involved in his worship.Which was sacrifical rituals,man were offered up at the altar to Tash as human sacrifice,where he devoured them.

But Tash can't devour any beings he likes, him being a deity of Death and destruction like Jadis was give certain rights by Deep magic like Tash could only devour being who did evil.

It was similar to Jadis the white witch,who was given rights over traitor.

Rather than being worshipped lovingly, like Aslan, Tash was feared by his own followers, and outsiders regarded him as cruel and monstrous. The two figures were fundamental opposites.

As an shook his head and said"Tash won't join Jadis, both are not beings that would join each other even to defeat me."

Hadrian nodded agreeing to put it in back of his mind for now.But he was still going to look into it later.
