It was an hour later that Weiss found herself along with the group, being led along merrily by Ruby and Nora to the apparent meeting place just outside the city.
"..So how big is he exactly?" Oscar asked hesitantly as they made their way through the forest.
Qrow shrugged from beside him, "Who knows? He was an Alpha Griffon last time we saw him, and about thirty five feet tall, it's been two weeks since then so even if he hasn't evolved yet, he'll still probably be bigger than before."
"I bet he's already evolved!" Nora cheered from the front, turning around to face them and walking backwards. She spread her arms wide into the air, "And he'll be like fifty feet I bet!"
"What type do you think he'll evolve into?" Ruby shifted her head to the ginger and asked excitedly.
"That dragon one that attacked Beacon!" Nora replied with a laugh.
"..That one was far bigger than fifty feet Nora." Ren commented idly.
"Alright, alright, calm down," Qrow groaned, holding up a hand, "We're almost there, so keep quiet brats until we see him, don't want to accidentally spook him or anything...though considering he can sense emotions, he probably already knows we're here."
They all fell silent, and Weiss was thankful for it. It let her take a few deep breaths to center herself.
And then, a about a minute later, they stepped out of a dense part of the forest. Weiss was one of the last out, so she wasn't the first to get a look. But she did her a chorus of gasps.
"HOLY MOLY!" Nora shouted, "MAMA LIKES! MAMA LIKES A LOT!"
"..Fuckin' hell." Qrow who was in front of the white haired girl commented, and she saw him quickly pull out his flask and start chugging it down rapidly.
Stepping out behind him, Weiss saw a wall of black. She looked up on reflex, and up...and up..and a little bit further up. And there she saw him, standing so high in the sky he positively dwarfed the mansion they were staying at.
A massive Manticore bigger than any Manticore she'd ever even heard about. And one thing was for sure, he was way bigger than fifty.
The massive beast lifted one bus sized paw into air and held it up towards them, "Yo!" Cobalt's voice boomed out of his huge maw.

PoV Switch: Kevin
Kevin was bored. Usually, Kevin was not at all bothered about being trapped within some form of stone. His bed was a mountain after all. But the whispering woman kept him awake, not letting him sleep. Always making him pop out the lesser ones and making them look for something called Choice.
Kevin didn't really care either way. Kevin was just bored. He didn't get to show his power, and he couldn't sleep. Kevin was just so bored.
Kevin wondered idly what that baby Griffon was up to. It was free to do as it pleased and didn't seem to care for listening to the whispering woman. He just ate the glowy girl and flew away into the sky. Kevin missed the days when he could do that. Now he was to big and the whispering woman didn't want him out for some reason.
Kevin was beginning to not like the whispering woman.
