God's Cafe

A retired god, Kira, has recently passed on his job to a successful hero and decides to open a cafe for characters from all corners of the multiverse. Heroes, villains, and anything in between are welcome to come hang out, trade, and visit other worlds for missions. ------------------------------------------ My first time writing anything so it's probably gonna be garbage but don't go easy on me. Criticism of all kinds is welcome. I won't make any promises about update consistency, university is hell.

It has been a few months since I killed the Impossible-to-Destroy Reptile at the SCP Foundation's world and recruited Ina to be a librarian here at the cafe, a lot of things have changed in the meantime.

For one, I have had to increase the size of the cafe by many times due to all the people who are now staying around either just for the atmosphere or the Dungeon Simulation, but I will leave that for later, lets talk about the other additions instead.

There is now a small corner for the library that Ina runs. What can you get at the library? Virtually any book or knowledge you would want from all universes.

Storybooks, Textbooks, Magical Tomes, Grimoires, and much more are available to be rented out if you can pay the price or have met the conditions.

The conditions? There are a number of books that can be rented from the library only if you find a copy of it in the Dungeon Simulation first. These are mainly the powerful books related to magic that can only be obtained as boss drops from higher floors that nobody has reached yet.

As for the prices, the storybooks are generally very cheap since there is not much to be gained from them other than entertainment. Books related to magic are in the middle price range, while textbooks are the most expensive.

Magical Tomes and Grimoires have quickly become a crowd favorite because they contain a large number of spells for the reader to learn rather than buy single spells from the store at high prices.

The trick here is that when buying a spell from the store, the buyer instantly learns it, while when using the books, they have to go about it the normal way of understanding and practicing the spell for a long time to learn it. Still, it might be a better alternative to some people like the Ancient One.

Textbooks are the most expensive by far, but that didn't stop people like Batman and Tony from being interested in them. After all, these books come from worlds different from theirs, so some are bound to be literal goldmines for science, coming from worlds that are millions of years more technologically advanced than theirs.

Another food booth has also opened up, embedded into a wall with a small kitchen and a locked-off room behind it, the sign on the store reads "Kentucky Fried Phoenix."

Kiara being the one to run it, asked to open it up because she wanted something to occupy her. The food there is entirely free but has no effects, just like the free food from my own kitchen that Loki runs.

In the beginning, it was evident that her food was nothing compared to Loki's, who had the cooking mastery skill I gave her, so eventually Kiara came to me and asked for one as well, putting her into debt that she has to work off at the KFP that she herself owns.

I am a businessman, doing business, okay?

The guests here are split on which one is better, and this has developed into a rivalry between the two cooks who constantly try to outdo each other.

I just realized that Ina is the only employee here who is actually gaining money for herself from working rather than putting it toward paying off debts like the rest.

It is also now possible to exit the cafe and go walk around outside. I have finished building a pier at the nearby lake that I intend to use for a future fishing tournament between the guests. Trust me, I will make it more fun than it sounds.

As for the situation with the Dungeon Simulation, well… it has gotten a lot more popular, meaning there are now people in the cafe every day. I even had to quadruple the size of the building just to make everyone fit comfortably. Much to Jean and Kiara's relief, I just used my magic for it rather than making them build it by hand.

Since the place was getting so busy, I had to promote Freya to help out Hestia as a waitress instead of washing dishes which is now an automatic task. Damn it...

Since the Dungeon Simulation was so popular, I got a few more people pulled into the cafe to play it and make the game feel more lively.

These included team JNPR, team CFVY, and many professors from Beacon Academy like Goodwitch and Ozpin from the RWBY world.

The defenders from the Marvel universe like Daredevil and Luke Cage, as well as the Guardians of the Galaxy.

The DC universe now has all of the Justice League members in the cafe on a regular basis and are currently in the middle of discussing bringing in Young Justice for training here.

All these new people can come to the cafe and use the services here like the Dungeon Simulation or the store, but I doubt all or even most of them will get the chance to go on a mission one day.

Team RWBY is still in the lead inside the Simulation, currently on the 22nd floor, but team JNPR and the Justice League members are hot on their tail on the 20th floor.

So far, there has been no need for different teams to work together as there haven't been any super difficult bosses in the way, but all that will change on the 25th floor. I put a little surprise there, and they will definitely need a larger group to pass to the next floor.

Anyway, enough of the cafe for now. It has been months since the last big mission, so I think it's time for a new one, this time to the Naruto world.

I wonder who I should send...

To those of you who are watching hololive generation 6 debuts who is your favorite?

Chloe best btw.
