A Message from the Author: Hey guys, 'Get Back To You' is very special because it is my first novel and a bold choice, I would say. The once short story showed a lot of potential for a perfect novel, and the characters had a depth to them and an unheard voice, for which I wanted to bring justice by exploring and writing. I hope that my efforts reap rewards when the readers enjoy the tale as they travel through this journey. **** I'm deeply grateful for having an opportunity to share the story here and for all the love I've received thus far and in the future. Thank you very much for enjoying 'Get Back to You!' And on that note, I have more stories to write for you guys, so stay tuned. With love, L’Jack Ace

Crossed the Line

"Wow, would you look at this beautiful couple being all lovey-dovey?" Bridgette commented.

Giselle shot a glare at Bridgette.

"What?"

"Do you deny it?"

"You guys ordered the same item and even sharing it. Look how happy you both are?"

Bridgette voluntarily mocked Giselle.

"I'm not happy," Giselle answered.

"What? Why?" Mike asked.

"Nothing Mike." Giselle cut him off.

Yes, she wasn't in the mood to explain her every single action.

"What happened Giselle?" Mike kept pestering about it only to hear Giselle's 'Nothing, Mike' as a response.

It went on for a while making Giselle feel upset.

Ivy, who had been silently eating for once in her lifetime, opened her mouth to point out Mike,

"Mikey, no matter what you do you won't get Giselle, and that is my bet."

Ivy's comment triggered Giselle as her patience is running already low. She is about to explode at any moment.

Mike innocently asked the reason behind it. It is only then Bridgette revealed that made Giselle explode out of her comfort zone.

"Because she doesn't swing in that way."

Bridgette's comment followed a deadly silence. Everybody's attention gathered as their eyes stayed with Bridgette.

Meanwhile, Bridgette's eyes never left Giselle. Her sneer almost looked evil and disturbing. Giselle's tear ducts swelled up as she fought against holding back from sobbing. Her heart sank deep in the ocean, and she felt like digging a hole to hide and never come out.

Mike looked bewildered but, his eyes too never left Giselle. The glances of others made Giselle feel being stripped naked. Slowly, anger took over her as she stood up from her seat. She had had enough.

Her firm stance towered over the seated ones. She looked at her half-eaten dessert bowl with melted ice cream in it. Without any hesitation, Giselle picked up the bowl and slapped it on Bridgette's face harshly.

"You have crossed the line, Bridgette."

Giselle's glare sparked scorching fear into Bridgette. The blond girl trembled and drenched in Ice cream looked at Giselle with her bulging eyes. Teardrops confirmed the terror she was facing from Giselle's flaming eyes.

Bridgette never thought that this, naive, weak girl would do such a thing. It showed how much pressure Giselle had it in her to snap back at them furiously.

Giselle's flaming eyes soon filled with tears. Her eyes looked at the blond girl with hurt and agony. After all these times, she followed their orders regardless only not to be exposed. But, today, Bridgette almost tried to abuse Giselle without keeping her promise.

Giselle felt being used and thrown away like the trash. It hit her as the well-controlled tears start pouring down on her cheeks. Despite the anger, Giselle felt abused.

After noticing Giselle's crying face, Bridgette's fear vanished, and vengeance appeared finding its way back to being a dominant. Bridgette's mind is blown off from an immense embarrassment.

" YOU BITCH."

Bridgette cursed violently. None of them affected Giselle as she planned to leave the place immediately.

The impact of the scene tensed up as everyone jeered from their seats. Giselle pushed her way out and left the place crying.

"YOU WILL REGRET IT."

"FUCK YOU"

Bridgette yelled and screamed as if she could return Giselle the favor from cussing. The lunatic blond girl looked like one big mess.

Here's what others looked like:

Carmel - felt horrible from the sight but still believed that her friend deserved it.

Sara - shocked at her core that she was unable to move.

Ivy - froze for a second and then stood up to help her friend.

Mike - horrified.

His friends - appalled, and unable to speak out.

And finally,

Bridgette felt intimidated.

After all, Giselle's sudden movement caused a panic attack on her. She felt the humiliation not only in front of her friends but others.

...

Ivy rushed in to help her friend who's in a mess. She noticed Giselle leaving the place with the angriest look on her face exhibited an extremely raging aura, indirectly saying others not to approach her at the moment. However, Mike seemed to be bothered by it, and so he ran out to chase Giselle.

The rest all eventually gathered around Bridgette in helping her clean the mess. Ivy went furious from looking at Mike's action. She ignored the guy who tailgated their 'so-called' slave.

'That guy. He didn't even care for Bridgette.'

"Bri, are you okay?"

Ivy took out the tissues and started cleaning her face botched in the melted ice cream.

Bridgette hissed at Ivy, not because of her. She could have done it to anyone who had approached her at that moment. She felt the terror as well as fury.

'Giselle, you're going to die.' - Bridgette thought as she stood up and went to the restroom to clean herself.

Sara, who returned to reality, apologized to the shop owner for the incident.

The owner warned them not to play with food and talk through it peacefully.

Sara nodded and went back to her seat.

By now, everyone became silent.

Mike's friends felt cramped.

"You better shut this out from spreading at the school." Caramel said in a stern tone.

The guys agreed quickly.
