Talk To Me.

Rui drifted along the edges of the skyscraper. Planting his feet one after another, his impeccable balance made it seem like he was walking on a normal pathway.

Well, to him, all platforms are normal walkways.

From the top, he could oversee the entire city.

'Each and everyone of you people… are under my reign…'

It was his world, his people, and his duty to protect them.

The people he stood above now all belonged to him, and he'll be damned if anyone of his people got injured by other Kings.

"Wait a minute,' Rui asked his patron, 'didn't you say that my first task was to invade other planets?"

He recalled when he first met with his patron. His divine authority and regal voice which instilled a sense of amazement into him once now no longer had any sort of effect on him.

"Yes… originally I had you fight against another rookie, but it seemed Anggar was a bit impatient. Well, veterans do get priority choice as well."

It was like booking an appointment at a hair salon and the appointment getting pushed back because Barack Obama came in demanding one. A VIP of sorts.

"Well, will I be going to another fight now?" Rui asked again.

"Hah! A fight a year is usually the norm for Kings. Might get a second one if you're lucky, but don't expect a third one.

Plus, Kings are usually separated by light years and eons away from one another. Getting to visit another planet takes a long time."

"How did Anggar get here so quickly then?"

"Good question. His patron is incredibly strong, so he was transported really quickly."

Rui nodded and continued drifting along the skirts of the skyscraper.

He looked down on the ground and saw a very peculiar alleyway. A damp, dark, dirty alleyway that seemed to attract a equally peculiar young boy.

'Ahh… I'll should go there.'

He leapt off the skyscraper casually and stared impassively at his landing spot. Hands in pockets, his hair blew straight back catching drifts of wind in each strand.

There were no cracks in the floor, or any noise made in the landing, an exemplary showing of his extraordinary abilities.

He looked around the alleyway. It looked almost exactly the same as he remembered it. He took a deep breath in.

Repugnant, vile, disgusting stench. Just like it should be.

'I wonder why bullies like to hang out here?'

He turned around and saw the light of the public space in day. He took a step into it, hesitated and then strolled right back into it.

He had forgotten he was no longer a vigilante being hunted and so he had no qualms walking in the day. It wasn't like he was scared either way, it was more of a nuisance to be always be hunted.

His sense alerted him to a young boy speaking to his mom about 200 meters away.

"Mommy! Mommy! Can we watch the sports festival please?"

The sports festival… Rui thought.

The last time he visited it, he fought All Might and dusted him, playfully toyed with the other heroes, and made headlines as a culprit on the loose.

And stolen Takoyakis.

Mmm… Food.

'Maybe I should visit them again?'

"If anyone of you needs any professional help after the incident, don't be afraid to contact me or any teacher of the school. It is a serious matter, and we'll take it as seriously as any other hero work." Aizawa concluded homeroom for the day and left with sombre steps.

The incident had left a bad taste in his mouth too. He had never seen so many macabre dead bodies all in one site in all his years of hero work. It was simply gruesome.

"Damn. Anyone felt really shaken? Like really, never felt before shaken?" Eijiro Kirishima asked.

The class was silent for a second, which made Eijiro embarrassed but Izuku spoke up.

A mutter actually.

"…contr…rld…"

"You said something Midoriya?" Eijiro asked in an attempt to save his question from being unanswered.

"Control the world…"

"Speak the fuck up broccoli!" Bakugou shouted.

"Who controls this world!" Izuku yelped and did the stupid hand thing.

Eyebrows raised and incredulous loos were thrown at him. Control the world? No one does? Maybe Heroes?

"What do you mean Deku?" Ochaco asked.

"During the fight,' he spoke up to the class, 'I heard one of the guys fighting say that he was going to take over the world. I think they were fighting to gain control of the world!"

Silence ensued again.

"Are you stupid? You probably didn't hear anything!" Bakugou shouted.

Izuku stammered, shamefully accepting that notion.

"It's alright Deku, you can continue explaining it." Ochaco reassured him.

With a newfound confidence, Izuku explained.

"I think they were fighting for control of this world. At least that's what I heard."

Agreeing hums were heard, along with a disdainful snicker from Bakugou.

"There was a clear winner from the match. If they fought for this world, wouldn't you think we would have gotten some news regarding it now?" Bakugou rebutted.

"True, but they did seem strong enough to look like they could take over the world. I mean have you seen how fast they moved? I don't think All Might could have matched their speed."

"All Might? If they were stronger than All Might, then this world truly could be theirs. Right?"

Silence ensued once again. This time, it was because it was a question no one wants to answer. It was a question they preferred left unanswered as well.

"Well whatever it is, we're safe right now. Let's not matter ourselves with this fight. We have the Sports Festival to focus on. After all, we can't be thinking about saving the world if we have not even completed school yet right?"

The atmosphere became lighter and more jovial, though it still seemed quite awkward.

Nevertheless, the day went on, and as it went on their thoughts about the incident got pushed to the back of their minds and the anticipation of the Sport Festival soon replaced it.
