Visiting the laboratory
"Why are you waiting for me?" Cynthia bent toward the window of the car as she asked Ed.
He was sitting inside the car and looking at his watch. Ignoring her words casually, he glanced at Eric behind her.
Eric understood what he needed to do and opened the door to the other side of the car, "Miss, please get inside. Brother Ed would like to have a talk with you".
Cynthia lips twitched and eyebrows become puckered.
What were their intentions?
It has only been a few hours and they want to talk again!
Cynthia was reluctant to have a seat and continued to stare aimlessly for a while until Ed said, "Get in. I am going to take you to the laboratory for work".
Oh boy I am tired already… why does he want to quickly reach there when I just came out of this hellish college after passing some bitches?
Cynthia squeezed shut her eyes feeling tired and then sighed as she got inside the car without any more words thinking that the guy must be restless to find a cure for himself so, he wanted her to quickly start working.
She sat and his eyes keenly stopped at her seatbelt.
Please don't wear it… please don't wear it…
Just leave this kind of task for me!
He swallowed wishing for her to not wear her seatbelt by herself and giving him a chance to get closer to her but his luck sucks…
She wore it as soon as she closed the door and their eyes met.
Looking at that keen stare, Cynthia couldn't help but ask, "What's up?".
"Nothing".
He shook his head and looked ahead but his lips kept trembling.
He was waiting for the right time to bare his fangs but for now that wasn't the right time. Even the twins were aware of his ruthless personality.
He was cold and have killed a few illegal researchers who came after him after knowing that he was also a kid who was born after experimenting.
He wasn't a coy person he was acting in front of her and when will that façade drop… was something they had no idea about but his façade was like a ticking time bomb and that's for sure.
"Ah… I forget to ask you a copy of the contract you made me sign earlier," she grabbed his attention and not just his but Wayne, who was driving the car started to cough.
Wayne had a read of the contract after Cynthia signed it and it was definitely a trap that wasn't in favour of this girl so when she spoke about the contract, he become startled.
God knows what will happen once she reads the contract.
She doesn't look like someone we should mess with but yeah… brother Ed who is our boss in secret isn't someone to belittle.
He is crazy and only we both know that.
Now that he has got a taste of others warmth, I wonder what craziness he will show later.
Wayne shook his head in distress and let out a sigh, "We will send the contract later to you, Miss Cynthia".
"Just call me Cynthia. No need for extra lengths".
"Then call me Ed and don't hesitate to ask for anything," Ed quickly took the chance for a friendly conversation but Cynthia just nodded and started to look out of the window ignoring him.
It was really not a nice experience to get ignored.
Until now, no one has ever ignored him rather their extra attention was more like a burden to him and he disliked it but he disliked this girl indifference the most.
Why won't she pay attention to me?
Oh, is it because she is not a normally born human but… this is irritating? What should I do to have her eyes over me and get a chance to touch her again?
Should I act pitiful again?
Between all these thoughts, they finally reached the laboratory but what was in front of them was a small alley that cannot be crossed by a car.
She stepped out with others and followed them and finally they reached their destination.
A two-storey building that looked so old and broken but Cynthia was not shocked and that was an amazing foot in Ed and others eyes.
Anyone will be shocked after being brought to a ruined two-storey building under the name of laboratory but she wasn't. she was as aloof as ever.
