Warning To Kiba

Xenovia tightened her grip on the hilt of her sword, her knuckles turning white as Izashi's biting words echoed in her mind. Her piercing blue eyes narrowed at him, but she knew deep down that there was nothing she could say.

No matter how she looked at it, she was in the wrong for assuming that a simple servant like her could dictate terms to powerful devils like Izashi and Rias. Her pride was screaming at her to fight back, but even pride couldn't blind her to the massive difference in power between her and Izashi.

Meanwhile, Issei slowly felt his consciousness return. His vision was blurry at first, but the sharp, commanding voice of Izashi was unmistakable.

The words that caught his attention weren't just directed at Xenovia—they were in defense of Asia.

Hearing that made Issei's heart swell with emotion, even though his body still wouldn't cooperate. He could only watch as Izashi's cold eyes drilled into Xenovia, his aura crackling with raw energy.

Izashi's voice, like a whip, lashed out at Xenovia, "You are nothing but an exorcist, a mere pawn in your church's grand scheme. You think you're something special because of that sword in your hand? Please. You're not God, you're just a weak follower of his shadow. If you want to meet someone worthy of my respect, you'd better bring your precious angels. At least they have the strength to look me in the eye."

The tension in the air was thick enough to cut with a blade. Irina, who had been standing quietly beside Xenovia, clenched her fists. She had listened for long enough and couldn't stand Izashi's mockery anymore.

Stepping forward, she raised her voice, "The angels wouldn't lower themselves to deal with devils like you! They are the true servants of God, chosen for their purity and righteousness. You, a mere devil, could never understand their divine power."

Izashi didn't even bother to turn his gaze toward her. "Divine power?" he sneered. "Don't make me laugh. Do you know what I see when I look at the two of you? I see mindless tools—pathetic swords and shields for cowardly angels too scared to get their hands dirty. The church uses you, and when they're done, they toss you aside. It's almost pitiful. Almost."

The devil's words hung in the air like a heavy storm cloud, and the weight of his disdain was palpable. Irina opened her mouth to argue, but before she could say a word, Izashi cut her off with a snarl, his voice booming across the field.

"I'll say this once, and you'd better listen carefully. Get the hell out of my sight before I decide to make you leave. And as for your so-called proposal, you can take it back to your church and shove it up your superior's ass. This is my territory. I don't need permission from anyone to deal with the fallen angels—or with you."

As his words echoed through the air, Izashi unleashed a dense wave of devilish energy that rippled outward, cracking the ground beneath him.

The cracks spread like wildfire, tearing through the earth until a massive crater formed beneath his feet. His aura alone had wrought more destruction than Xenovia's sword ever could, and the exorcist could only stare in shock.

Xenovia's eyes widened in disbelief as Izashi turned his icy gaze back to her.

"You think that sword of yours is powerful?" he said, his voice low and threatening. "It's nothing. A toy. If I really wanted to, I could shatter it without even trying. So, unless you're ready to raze this entire place to the ground with me, I suggest you turn around and leave. Now."

Irina, sensing the danger in Izashi's words, quickly grabbed Xenovia by the arm. "We should go," she whispered urgently. "Now."

Xenovia, still in shock, allowed herself to be pulled away. Her mind was reeling from the encounter. The sheer power Izashi had displayed was terrifying, but what was worse was the casualness with which he wielded it. He wasn't even trying, and yet he had her completely at his mercy.

As the two exorcists walked away in silence, Xenovia's thoughts were clouded with doubt. She had always been taught that devils were evil, corrupt beings—creatures to be destroyed.

But what she had just witnessed was something far beyond what she had ever imagined. Izashi's words echoed in her mind, a grim reminder that there were beings in this world that even her faith couldn't protect her from.

Irina, sensing her friend's inner turmoil, tried to comfort her. "Xenovia, we'll figure this out. Let's just focus on finding the fallen angels and recovering the stolen Excaliburs. As long as we avoid antagonizing them, the devils won't interfere. We'll be fine."

Xenovia didn't respond. Her pride had been shattered, and no amount of comforting words could change that.

---

Back on the battlefield, Izashi was now glaring at Kiba, his sharp eyes boring into the young knight. "Tell me, Kiba," he said coldly, "what the hell was that back there?"

Kiba remained silent, his body tense. He knew exactly what Izashi was referring to. Before he could respond, Asia, concerned for her friend, stepped forward. "Izashi-sama, please don't be too harsh on him—"

But before she could say another word, Akeno gently placed a hand on her shoulder and whispered in her ear, "Not now, Asia. It's not your place. Trust him—Izashi won't make a bad decision."

Asia bit her lip, worried but obedient. She nodded, though her heart was still heavy with concern for Kiba. She had only been a devil for a short time, but in that time, she had come to understand one thing—Izashi wasn't a man who gave second chances lightly. And right now, Kiba was walking on thin ice.

Kiba finally spoke, his voice low and filled with guilt. "I let my emotions get the better of me," he admitted, his head bowed. "I wasn't thinking clearly. I acted on impulse."

Izashi's gaze didn't soften. "Impulse? You call that impulse? You nearly jeopardized everything because you wanted revenge. That's not impulse, Kiba—that's stupidity."

Kiba's fists clenched tightly at his sides, but he didn't argue. He knew Izashi was right.

"You want revenge for your comrades, don't you?" Izashi's voice was sharp, like a blade cutting through the air. "You think that by destroying that sword, you'll somehow avenge them? You should give up on that foolish notion right now."

Kiba's head snapped up, his eyes blazing with defiance. "Never," he said through gritted teeth. "I will never give up. I will destroy those swords, no matter what."

Izashi let out a cold, mocking laugh. "With your half-baked strength? Please. You couldn't even scratch a holy sword if I handed it to you on a silver platter. You think you're capable of destroying it? You're delusional."

Kiba's jaw tightened, his pride stinging at Izashi's words, but before he could retort, Izashi's tone turned deadly serious. "Listen carefully, Kiba. If I see you pulling any more stunts like that without informing me or Rias, I don't care what your title is. To me, you'll be nothing more than a stray devil. And stray devils get put down."

The weight of Izashi's words hung heavily in the air, and Kiba felt a cold chill run down his spine. The threat was clear. One more misstep, and he would be facing more than just a scolding.

Finally, Izashi turned away from Kiba and cast his gaze over the others—Rias, Akeno, Asia, and the unconscious body of Issei.

His expression softened slightly as he glanced at them, his eyes lingering on Rias and Akeno, their voluptuous figures outlined by the soft glow of the moonlight. His gaze flickered with something primal as he admired them, but for now, there was still business to attend to.

"Let's return," he muttered, his voice losing some of its earlier harshness. "This farce has gone on long enough."

As Izashi turned to leave, his gaze fell on Issei's body. The boy had regained consciousness earlier during the confrontation, but the immense pain from his transformation had caused him to pass out once again.

With a casual wave of his hand, Izashi sent a small pulse of energy towards Issei, easing his pain and stabilizing his condition.

With that, the group began to head back to the mansion, the tension from the earlier events slowly dissipating. But as they walked, Izashi's thoughts were far from calm.

The battle with the exorcists had been a mere annoyance, but it had served as a reminder. There were still threats out there—threats that could challenge even him.

As the night settled in, Izashi's mind drifted to darker, more dangerous thoughts. He had shown mercy tonight, but next time, things might not be so simple. And as for Xenovia and Irina—they had no idea just how close they had come to meeting their end.

But for now, Izashi's gaze shifted once more to Rias and Akeno, a wicked smile playing on his lips. Perhaps there were other ways to pass the time... ways that would be much more enjoyable.
