Ddraig's emerald eyes remained fixed on Izashi, an unusual mix of curiosity and suspicion swirling within their depths. "And how do you intend to achieve that?" he asked, his deep voice echoing within Issei's consciousness. "Your Power of Destruction would be harmful to him, so how—"
Before Ddraig could finish his sentence, he was suddenly silenced by a golden energy radiating from Izashi's body. The energy was unlike anything Ddraig had ever felt—calm yet potent, with an aura so rich and powerful that it commanded attention. The energy began to spread through the space, carrying with it the undeniable presence of a Dragon God.
This was no ordinary energy. It was the Aura of the Dragon God of Chaos, the being who had once brought destruction and upheaval across the universe. Ddraig, recognizing the aura instantly, didn't waste a moment. His massive form lowered in reverence, and to Izashi's surprise, the once-mighty Dragon Emperor began banging his head against the ground.
Izashi's brow arched in mild confusion as he observed Ddraig's unexpected display. He had been just about to explain how he was going to help Issei, but this sudden behavior from Ddraig caught him off guard. With an amused tone, he asked, "Have you finally gone senile, old dragon?"
But Ddraig, still bowing, shook his massive head. His voice trembled with a mix of awe and excitement. "No, I feel like I have become younger. I am witnessing the bloodline of the Dragon God of Chaos. The Dragon God whose mere intent to destroy could annihilate all things in the world."
Izashi's lips curled into a casual smirk. "Well, yeah. I guess I do have it," he replied, almost nonchalantly, as if the fact that he possessed the bloodline of such a fearsome entity was no big deal.
However, Ddraig's reaction was anything but casual. The great dragon began to sweat profusely, something he hadn't done in millennia. To think that Izashi not only knew about the Dragon God of Chaos but also possessed his bloodline—Ddraig hadn't expected that. He had faced countless beings of immense power over the eons, but none had instilled in him the same mix of fear and respect as this young devil.
"I am the Red Dragon Emperor, and it is my pleasure, my honor, to witness this bloodline power in my lifetime," Ddraig said, his voice betraying the fanatical admiration he felt. It was a rare moment for the dragon, who was usually the epitome of pride and dominance. Now, he was reduced to a state of near worship, his mind overwhelmed by the sheer presence of Izashi's power.
Izashi, noticing the dragon's almost fanatical behavior, couldn't help but chuckle. "You're acting like a starstruck fan, Ddraig. It's almost endearing." His tone was teasing, but there was a glint of understanding in his eyes. He realized that Ddraig, being a Dragon Emperor of Domination and Destruction, would naturally hold the bloodline of a Dragon God in the highest regard—perhaps even higher than the likes of Ophis and the Great Red.
With a more serious tone, Izashi continued, "This won't be the last time you witness it, so rise again."
Ddraig lifted his head, his body still trembling with the aftershocks of reverence. The dragon wasn't worried anymore, not after witnessing such power. To him, Izashi's words were law, the words of a Dragon God whom he now respected above all others. If Izashi said Issei would be safe, then there was no doubt in Ddraig's mind that it would be so.
Izashi, satisfied that Ddraig had calmed down, began to explain his plan. "You said you needed five minutes to change Issei's heart, right? If I use my energy to assist you, I believe I can boost you enough to decrease the time to a second or two. But remember, it'll just be a boost!"
Ddraig, still emotional and filled with newfound respect, responded eagerly, "I don't dare to ask for anything more than a temporary boost, my lord."
Izashi found Ddraig's sudden deference a bit weird, but he shrugged it off, focusing on the task at hand. "Alright then, let's start," he declared. He began channeling his Golden Energy, enhancing Ddraig's draconic magic with the calm yet overwhelmingly powerful aura of the Dragon God of Chaos.
But as the process began, Izashi quickly realized that he had underestimated the effects of his own energy. What he thought would take a second or two didn't even take a tenth of a second. The transformation of Issei's heart started almost instantaneously, the dragonic magic spreading through Issei's body like wildfire, transforming it completely.
Izashi blinked in surprise. "Okay, that was too fast," he muttered, more to himself than to Ddraig. But he wasn't the only one dumbfounded. Ddraig, too, was in awe, watching as his power spread through Issei's body, transforming it in ways he hadn't anticipated.
The transformation was still ongoing, and while it would take some time for Issei's body to fully adapt, Izashi knew that the boy was going to be safe. With a satisfied nod, he closed his eyes and withdrew his presence from Issei's consciousness.
Returning to the real world, Izashi found that the fight between Xenovia and Kiba was still in full swing. His eyes narrowed as he observed Kiba's current state—dark demonic swords surrounded the blond knight, one of which he held tightly in his hand. A sigh escaped Izashi's lips as he watched the scene unfold. 'Now, this match is over…' he thought.
Kiba charged at Xenovia, his face set in a determined scowl. There was a seriousness to his expression, with a hint of killing intent in his eyes. However, that intent wasn't directed at Xenovia herself, but rather at her sword—Durandal.
Xenovia, oblivious to Kiba's true focus, swung her broadsword with practiced ease, parrying his attack. The demonic sword in Kiba's hand shattered almost immediately, breaking into pieces upon contact with the holy weapon.
Kiba's eyes widened in shock, but his instincts kicked in, and he swiftly dodged the follow-up swing that would have taken his head clean off. He rolled back to the position where he had placed his other swords, this time grabbing two at once.
From the sidelines, Izashi watched with a hint of amusement. 'Dual wielding, huh?' he mused, a playful smirk tugging at his lips. 'It would be awesome, but it'll be hard to find swords that can withstand my full strength without being destroyed.' He sighed, feeling a bit helpless in the face of his own overwhelming power.
Kiba once again rushed at Xenovia, this time in a straight line, his movements betraying the anger that clouded his mind. Xenovia met his charge with the same calm expression, her broadsword ready to strike. She didn't even flinch as she swung Durandal, effortlessly destroying Kiba's swords without the slightest hint of emotion in her eyes.
With a swift movement, she kicked him in the gut, sending him sprawling back. As Kiba struggled to stand, Xenovia's cold voice cut through the tension. "You think you have a chance against me with swords like those? This is Durandal, a holy sword that stands equal to Excalibur in terms of destruction. You and your swords don't stand a chance."
Kiba, still on the ground, clenched his teeth in frustration, trying to push himself up. But Xenovia wasn't done. She raised Durandal and struck the ground with it, activating the sword's power. A blinding light erupted from the point of impact, followed by a massive explosion.
When the light and dust settled, a large crater was visible where Kiba had been standing. He had managed to dodge the blast by mere inches, but the power of Durandal was now unmistakable.
"This is the power of a holy sword that you have no hope of matching," Xenovia declared, her voice devoid of pity. "Give up and stay out of our way. Let us deal with the fallen angels, and we will leave you in peace."
Izashi had seen enough. He decided to step in, his presence immediately drawing the attention of both fighters. "This fight is over," he stated firmly, his tone brooking no argument.
Kiba, still determined, turned to Izashi with defiance in his eyes. "No, I can still fight more," he insisted, his voice edged with desperation.
Izashi met his gaze with an emotionless stare, his voice dropping to a dangerous low. "Kiba, don't make me repeat myself. I said this fight is over, so it is."
The intensity in Izashi's eyes was something Kiba had never seen before. It was like staring into the abyss, a cold, unfeeling void that made Kiba's blood run cold. Unable to match that intensity, Kiba was forced to break eye contact, his resolve crumbling under Izashi's gaze.
With Kiba subdued, Izashi turned his attention to Xenovia, who had been watching the exchange with a mix of curiosity and irritation. Izashi's gaze hardened as he looked her over, his tone dripping with disdain. "You're pathetic," he spat. "You think you're powerful just because you can wield that sword? If you want to go fight the fallen angels like this, by all means, go ahead."
Xenovia's eyes narrowed at his words, her pride wounded by the blatant insult. "You're simply a devil," she retorted, her voice cold. "You have no idea how powerful this holy sword is."
Izashi couldn't help but burst into laughter, the sound echoing across the battlefield. His laughter was genuine, almost mocking in its intensity. "Okay… wait, let me laugh. Hahahahaha…" It took him nearly half a minute to compose himself, during which Xenovia's scowl deepened.
Finally, Izashi's laughter subsided, and he turned serious, his eyes locking onto Xenovia's with a deadly focus. "Alright, now get out of here before I change my mind and break that sword just to show you what true power is."
Xenovia, however, wasn't easily intimidated. She squared her shoulders and spoke in a neutral tone, "So, you won't interfere in our fight against the fallen angels since I technically won that fight against this blondie?"
Izashi's expression turned incredulous, and he shot a glance at Rias, who had been quietly observing the situation. "Rias-chan, did I agree to their terms? Did you agree to those terms?"
Rias shook her head, a knowing smile playing on her lips as she understood what Izashi was doing. "No, we didn't, Izashi-kun."
Izashi turned back to Xenovia, his tone laced with mockery. "Tell me, are you retarded? Did you honestly think we agreed to your terms even when the kings of this territory didn't? Is that how the church's followers operate—mindless and brainless? I'm so glad Asia was excommunicated by this bunch of foolish humans. At least devils aren't as mindless as the church."
