A song and A wedding.

After that but of revelation black cat scurried away with her tail between her cheeks and i continued my patrol for 30 more minutes before i landed near billie's hangout spot and waited for her after i took off my costume.

I didn't have to wait long before Billie appeared with Susan and bang trailing behind her, they were carrying some bags in their hands as they ran. "Hey" i said in way of greeting to which billie said "Hey you too" i turned to Susan and bang who smiled at me, which was a first so i smiled back and waved.

We once again sat on the edge of the building as billie ate the bread they stole "So, did you write a song for me" i nod and say "I got three, one portrays us as a love at first sight thing, second one is for when two people break up and the third is for us singing about just being alone and being okay with it" she widens her mouth in shock and exclaims "You wrote three?" susan and bang look up from their food and i smile their way and say "Sorry about that" before turning towards billie and shrugging "What can I say, i got a lot of time".

She gives me a 'i don't believe you but I'll believe you ONCE' look and says "so, we gotta..." but gets interrupted by a cute voice asking "can you sing for us?" I look around searching for the voice but notice it came from Susan and bangs side, i turn to them and notice susan looking at me shyly while bang looked like he doesn't want anything to do with this.

I look at her in surprise and ask "What--um what do you want me to sing about?" here she looks at bang and bang shakes his head no but she nods her head yes as she turns back and asks in a low voice "something about two people never seperating even in their next life" bang looks away to hide his face while i could see sadness in Susan's eyes.

I look to billie who explains "the only good memory they had before i came was some sweet old lady showing them a movie about reincarnation, love and all that bullshit" i nod and think of a song that fits that theme and hit gold with a very short song.

I turn to Susan and smile as i say "i got just the song, wait a minute" i get up and set my phone against the wall and get back to sit beside billie as she asks "What's that for?" I shrug and say "could probably upload it." Before i whisper to her "You could sit beside susan and bang if you don't want to be in the video" she shakes her head and says "it's fine".

I think of how to start and come up short because without the music the vibe won't match so i ask "you got any instrument" she thinks for a few seconds and says "i think there's an old guitar in the store room" as she gets up to bring it back and i try to remember all the chords i learned from uncle ben.

She brings the guitar, i tune it quickly and start strumming as i hum the beginning of the song which grabs their attention but the song is quick on the start unlike other songs which take too much.

The song talks about a man whose love couldn't be stopped by the end of one life and that he will carry it to another life if he has to.

Infact he gets the strange feeling that this isn't the first time he fell in love, this could be the 100th time, he doesn't know but he knows that this must be the same woman he fell in love with every single time.

This could all just be a dream you say but i don't care cause i know i am not dreaming, if last lives couldn't hold me back then a simple thing such as a dream wouldn't stop him either.

I turn to billie and continue the song as she looks into my eyes.

I look into her eyes and she looks back into mine, we close our eyes as i continue

I lean forward and stop because i thought i was getting ahead of myself but then a pair of lips touch mine and all the doubts i had vanished, i continued playing the guitar until the song ended just to prolong the kiss.

We pull back and i ask "why did you kiss me?" she looks into my eyes as she says "I got too into the song. But why did you kiss back?" I looked down and smiled as i said "guess i got too into the song too" i look up and we lock eyes once again as we smile before we start chuckling.

She asks once we felt comfortable "We'll sing the 1st song?" I look at her confused and say "what?" she looks shy and pulls her hair behind her ears before she looks into my eyes and says "we can sing the song where we fall in love with each other" i look at her beautiful face and ask "Why that one exactly?" she leans forward and plants another kiss on my lips, a much shorter but one with more meaning as she says "It suits the situation".

*Cough**Cough* we look behind and see that susan and bang are smiling as they look at us and we seperate like unlike poles of two magnets. The situation is awkward but i push through it and ask "we'll sing it tomorrow" she nods and we change topic and talk for a while before she gets susan and bang into bed and goes home. Overall a pretty good day?..night? so far.

I went home myself and didn't sleep until i edited and uploaded the video.

I was literally fucking vibrating in my place, all the battles in the world wouldn't prepare you for this. Why did i even join shield, it's making it a thousand times harder for me to stand still and wait and not take action.

I was just about to run away just to clear my legs when i feel a hand fall on my shoulder, my already tense body makes my neck turn at the speed of lightning "OUCH" the hand that laid on my shoulder massages my cracked neck, the smooth palm soothes my pain but not the nervousness.

The owner of said hand exclaims to me in an exasperated voice "Don't be such a coward barton you have been through worse" i turn to her in annoyance which increases the pain further so i turn back and say "You don't know how scary it is Natasha".

Natasha pinches my neck a little too tightly as she says "In case you didn't know, i was married once too" I snort and say "marriages on the mission don't count" she sighs as she puts a transceiver in my ear and says "Listen to some music and calm down, it helped at MY WEDDING" i put my arms up in surrender and take the phone she gives and search for some song.

As i am searching i think of why i am afraid to marry Laura. I am afraid any day from now on could be the last day i can see her, the last day i can hear her, the last day i can...

...the last day i can love her. I never want to see that day come to light but in my line of work it's hard to know when it is going to be the end.

I made this marriage so small i felt like a worthless man, only people who are authorised by me are allowed. None of this is official in the governments eye, either. Hell i wouldn't even be doing this if i didn't know how much Laura wanted a grand wedding, i couldn't give it to her. What kind of a man am i. At the end of the day only natasha, Coulson and Nick fury would be able to tell her when i die, i wouldn't be able to love her the way most do.

I clicked play on a random song and leaned back as i heard it start with a guitar and a low hum increasing in crescendo before the lyrics start.

I thought the song ended there and thought it was pretty good so i opened my eyes and look down the eisle to see Laura walking towards me with her father beside her just as the song restarts from there.

She is right infront me as the song continues.

I feel my eyes prickle but i don't let the tears fall and give her the bigges smile i could ever give.

I looked at her and knew that she was exactly what i wanted and realised i was exactly what she wanted too.

I woke from my dream and saw reality. The reality that she chose me and i chose her and nothing can break us apart, not a small wedding, not some mission like Budapest, not even fucking aliens because as the song says 'Don't wake me i'm not dreaming'.
