CHAPTER 115

With a thudding heart and scaredy eyes kachi sprang up from her seat and half ran out of the cafeteria in search of Patrick. She honestly didn't know the particular place to look for him but she knew she had to find him, she started with their classroom and the neighboring classroom but he was nowhere to be seen, she even went as far as peeping into the males toilet but he wasn't there as well. With tears streaming down her eyes, ayra's words kept resounding in her head like a mantra " After today you would never see him again "!!! . ' Has she lost the chance of seeing him even for the last time?' she questioned herself running towards the football pitch praying fervently for him to be there because she couldn't imagine what she would do if she couldn't find him. Christ why was it at the point of losing him did she realize how much he meant to her? 'Please be here pat please'. Lost in thought and distraught she didn't realize that the subject of there thought was standing in front of her till she brushed past him and she felt someone hold her arms.

Realizing it was Patrick she gave a yelp and threw herself in his arms while fresh batch of tears streamed from her eyelids.

Patrick was pleasantly surprised but he held her tightly to himself not wanting to let go and gently massaged her back and hair , if this was a dream he never wanted to wake up. Never in the nearest future did he imagine that kachi would throw herself at him but here she was in his arms , clinging herself to him and not leaving any space between them not that he was complaining though. Hell he wished they could stay like this forever and didn't want utter a word in case the magic wears off and she regains her senses but her cries was tearing a storm in his heart therefore he had to make her stop crying because he hated seeing a tears dripping from her beautiful eyes.

" Sshhh kachi what's the problem?" He started tentatively " Why are you crying pumpkin?" He questioned softly.

Kachi sniffed loudly and remained mute still sticking to him like glue.

" C'mon a problem shared is half solved, please I can't bear seeing you in pain " .

" You have always wanted to reduce me into tears, you have succeeded today " She finally murmured.

Patrick gently pulled her to face him " No kachi i never want to see you in tears. Fuck!! I know I have been a jerk towards you when you came here as a new student but that's my own fucked up way of trying to get close to you and I have realized how stupid I was, please forgive me" He said in a heartfelt voice while cleaning her tears with the pads of his thumbs , kachi went back into his arms wordlessly and only murmured a sentence when she noticed the condition of his collar shirt. " I'm sorry I ruined your shirt with my tears " .

" Tsk screw the shirt kachi , tell me the problem? " He half yelled exasperated.

" Well my problem is you!! " She replied hitting his back lightly.

" How am I the pro-"

" My problem is you giving me an apology that I didn't ask for and completely unnecessary and let's not forget the fact that you are leaving " She added in an accusatory whisper and Patrick felt her arms tighten around his neck when she mentioned he was leaving " I'm sorry for apologizing pumpkin but I can't bear you thinking that I had bad intention towards you or-"

Kachi groaned internally ,her world was about to fall apart and here he was dwelling on the past she thought finally detaching her body from his " I thought we were friends Patrick but you are leaving and you didn't deem it fit to tell me? How could you do this to me? " Her voice dripped with pain .

" Kachi you are more than a friend to me and you know that so don't even try blackmail and who's been distant around me lately? You kachi!!! . Do you even know how your attitude affected me ? ".

New fresh of tears threatened to over pour but kachi held herself " I'm so- terribly sorry tsk I've been silly - and - and trying to decip-

Christ Pat I'm sorry but I thought - shit forget what I thought but still relocation is a big thing!! Can't you convince your parents to stay? I'm positive they would listen if you are vocal about it "

He held her gaze " Do you want me to stay?".

Kachi stared back at him incredulously " Are you being serious right now? Of course I want you to stay " She screamed at him.

" Why? "

" Because, you're my - my " .

" Say it kachi " He pleaded with his eyes .

" Somehow you have grown on me and my life would be gloomy without you in it so please stay Pat please don't leave me " .

It's wasn't a declaration of love but it was more than enough for him , he embraced her tightly kissing her hair repeatedly " I won't leave you pumpkin never, stop crying before you get a headache " He consoled.

" Wait you sure? You ain't just saying that to make me stop crying? "

He laughed heartily falling helplessly in love with her all over "Nah I'm really serious kachi "

She exhaled a deep breath and without thinking kissed his neck, realizing what she had done she sprang away from him shyly

" Ayra was really certain you were leaving, you should have seen the way she said it. Can't wait to tell them you are not leaving anymore , phew you gave me quite a scare young man " .

" So you came all the way from the cafeteria searching for me because you thought I was leaving? " He questioned feeling very elated.

"Awwww you're such a cutie" He cooed when she remained silent.

" Stop teasing me" She cried.

" What if I told you I was never leaving in the first place? "

" Huh? "

" It's a prank my lovely pumpkin and you fell right into it " He muttered with a happy smirk.
