Chapter 9

Evelyn said to Liam that she came to talk about her father.

Liam frowned and said, "You father? You came to talk to me about your father?"

"What I have to do with your father?"

Evelyn got angrier. This man is acting innocent.

He is behaving like he doesn't know anything.

At once she got doubt that if he is behind it.

She said, "My father's business is in verge of bankruptcy. The client said he has given the project to another company as he is not satisfied."

"My father and uncle have taken a lot of loan from the bank for investment."

"Are you behind this?"

Liam smiled and said, "oh! About that Resort project."

"You should tell me before, right?"

"Yes, the client is my friend. I only suggested him to contact another company."

"I think he liked my decision."

"So, he gave it to other company. What my mistake is there in this?"

What? He suggested.

 He is telling like he did not do anything and there is no mistake of his in this.

She came close to him. She pointed his finger at him and said, "You? You are the reason behind it?"

"I know. You did it wontedly."

"You said you would crush my family and bring them on to the road."

"You have done this."

She caught his shirt and said, "Why? Why have you done this?"

"What my family has done to you?"

"Don't you have any shame?"

She started to shout. Liam rolled his eyes and said, "Don't act like you are innocent?"

"Don't you know what you have done?"

His heart burned with anger. His eyes instantly became red.

Suddenly, he became so angry.

He pushed Evelyn to the floor.

Evelyn got shocked. The man was fine just now, but then again why he became so angry.

Her elbow hit the floor and she got hurt.

He said, "I have already said that I will crush your family. But you did not take me seriously."

"I did what I can. I will never cross my words. I will do what I say and say what I will do."

"It is not my problem that you did not take me serious."

Evelyn slowly got up from the floor.

She questioned, "Why you are doing like this? What did I do to you?"

"Why are you doing this to my family? They did not do anything to you right?"

"Please, don't do this."

Liam did not say anything.

He said, "if you don't have anything to say more, you can leave. I am busy."

He lifted his leg and was about to go.

Evelyn said, "Please listen to me."

Liam turned around and looked at her face.

He said, "tell me. What more you have to say?"

She said, "Liam, please listen to me. I know you are angry on me because I have hit you right?"

"You are doing this because I insulted you and did not allow you to touch me right?"

"If you are angry on me you take revenge on me."

"I will do anything you ask. I will do anything you say."

"But leave my family."

"Leave them."

"Please, I love my family so much. I cannot see them like this."

Liam looked at her and sighed.

He said, "Evelyn, you are not stupid. You are intelligent woman."

"You already know why I am doing this."

"I don't like to say or ask something again and again."

"You know what I want. If you are ready to do that tell me. Otherwise, I am ready to leave. I am busy and I have lot of work."

Evelyn got disappointed.

She knew. She knew what this man wanted.

He wanted her to marry him. This is what he wants.

But how can she marry him. Her wedding is fixed with Jason, and it is tomorrow.

If she married him, her father would get depressed.

He will get disheartened. He will face humiliation in front of all their relatives and friends.

He cannot even show his face to his friend James. Jason loves her so much.

If she doesn't marry Jason, James will never see Mike's face.

If she marries him, she may never see her family again.

They will never accept again.

But if she could save her family with this marriage, it is enough for her.

She is ready to face anything to save her family.

Her father loved her so much. She is not biological daughter of Mike.

She is Maria's daughter with her previous relationship. But Mike accepted her.

He raised her as his own daughter.

He loved her more than his biological son, Mason.

She can never repay this debt of her father.

This is the least she can do.

She knew that Liam does not love her. He wants to marry her for revenge for whatever she did to him.

She knew her life will become hell once she marries him.

But she will tolerate everything for her family. She will bear everything for her father.

She will never allow him to suffer because of her.

So, she decided she will marry Liam if he wants.

Liam looked at her and said, "What are you thinking? You know what I want. If you have anything to say I will stay. Otherwise, I am leaving."

Evelyn stood there silently.

Liam turned around to leave.

Evelyn wiped her tears and said, "I am ready."

Liam frowned and turned around.

He said, "What?"

Evelyn took deep breath and said, "I am ready to marry you."
