Chapter:Twelve: History 

"Hey, Princess will boss be okay?." I la puppeteer ask Princess who is sitting down a rock wiping her glasses clean. 

"Of course to be honest even if he was to fight a hundred Spirit beast he would come out unharmed, I'm more worried about the presence that I sense deeper." She says putting on her glasses back on after cleaning it.

Suddenly coming from out of the darkness is a red lizard around two meters tall and five meters long.

"The area is safe we can proceed without worry." That person is a member of Deep Coffin Melchanoy Tone.

"Okay then let's go the longer we stay here the more difficult it gets for our ally." A tall blonde hair man says holding a floating sphere in his right hand. His name is Gloomy runes also a member of Deep Coffin.

The final person is a black-haired youth with eyes a strange purple colour he is crying woods. The strange or rather fascinating part of this group is that they are all diamond rank except their boss lost soul who is legend rank. It's insane although I heard that unlike our group they turn in their mission after they are finished so theirs that.

We begin to move forward moving deeper and deeper and while moving I begin to sense an eerie and frantically terrifying presence in front of us. It feels too close to the boss presence except the boss feels like I'm being pulled in to be trapped forever this feels like they are trying to destroy me and make me part of them.

"I heard that you have the ability to heal people." Hearing that voice I slightly jump turning towards the person it was Gunslinger.

"Don't focus on the aura it will only trap you this thing must be on the level of the boss and lost soul." What that powerful, are you kidding me. This is Gunslinger after all he has seen boss power more than me so he should be sure.

"You can sense it too they have must likely awaken their inner self, they are most likely a heaven type as well, just our luck." Gloomy runes say then proceed to spit on the ground.

"You little brat stop spitting everywhere you go." Melancholy Tone says to Gloomy Runes who gives her the finger and walk off.

"Don't worry yourself if push comes to shove I will teleport us outside." That right there's nothing to worry about. 

After ten minutes of walking, we reach a place blocked off by sand. Base on what we were told this morning this must be due to Lost Soul's codex at work. 

"(Connect)" With Zero hesitation Gloomy Runes sends his sphere towards the sand.

"(Disappear)" The sand around the sphere disappears then Gloomy Runes calls back it toward him.

"Your such a show-off aren't you, just remember to not destroy any more artefacts this time around." Melancholy Tone says to Gloomy Runes and they begin to argue with each other.

"Take another step and your dead." Gunslinger says staring at a girl dressed in a torn red dress. She's quite beautiful minus the dangerous aura she emits and the tiny doll that follows her around.

"I am lady Elizabeth Witch of Fire and master of the south key I welcome you to my home." A Witch that's impossible they were killed during the rain of the bloody president no way she's telling the truth.

"Someone seems to know my story how touching the last person not only didn't know who I am but also tried to hurt me." The Witch says pointing towards the charred corpse.

"You said your a witch but two hundred years ago your kind was wiped out by President Daniel King for aiding the Guccians." Melancholy Tone says to Elizabeth who smiles.

"So that's the story that's been told now how amusing." Elizabeth says with a hint of anger in her voice.

"That's a lie the Witches never helped the Gucci kingdom in the Gucci-Futam war." I say refuting Melancholy Tone earlier statement.

"Of course it's true or else the weak Gucci kingdom would have been invaded and taken over by the Futam empire." Despite being allies there is still hatred between the citizens. Especially the far north of Gucci and the Deep South of Futam. 

"Enough it doesn't matter who is to blame that was a long time ago, beside our objective is the treasure stored here." Gunslinger says staring at the smiling Elizabeth.

"Yes yes the treasure I'm willing to give them all to you but at a cost." She says rubbing the head of one of her dolls.

"What's the cost ?." Princess asks with her glasses shining.

"Brave little girl aren't you, well I'm not interested in material things but I have two requests the first is to listen to a story I have to tell and find the other directional keys." 

The first one is simple enough much better than us fighting her but the second one is much more complicated.

"Fine then I agree." Princess says to her suddenly the area get's surrounded by an almost dream-like sequence.

"Two hundred years ago during the reign of the king family the Futam empire was much smaller than it was before plus they were surrounded by three other nations: Eden the nations of witch, Alp the nation of people who worships a long since killed Mythical beast, Samaria the nation of the four-armed cannibals and Gucci the kingdom of kings ."

With each word she says the corresponding people are shown, is this part of her codex or is it something else.

"All was well for the most part except when the new president was elected, he was openly against the other three nations ordering heavy tax on people who are from those countries even paying adventurers to attack and destroy villages that belong to them." 

What shown now is those same people from before being hunted and killed while stone buildings are burned to the ground.

"Finally one day the four Elders of Eden more popularly known as the Cardinal Witches came together and formed a plan to strike at the heart of the Futam Empire while making plans to form a alliance with the other nations."

This time we are shown massive amounts of people gathering together shaking hands. With multiple flags being flown around.

"Unfortunately the Futam took this as a sign of an invasion and begin to slowly build up their forces to wipe the other nations out." 

Showing is a large army holding muskets marching while in the back canons are being dragged by multiple horses. They are holding the Futam national flag which is the brown wolf stepping on castles. 

"Seeing this everyone went into panic mode the Gucci kingdom went into full invasion mode planning to strike first, the Alps prepared to use their Mythical beast to destroy the invading Futam army, the Samaritans well didn't care they just lived normally finally the Witches of Eden were preparing for war."

Multiple images are shown this time from panicking citizens to fully armed soldiers preparing to attack.

"In the 4th month of the 245 years, Gucci launched an invasion taking over the nearby port city of St.Ellis while the Witches begin to launch constant aerial raids on villages and towns near them."

Wait doesn't that mean that even if indirectly they were colluding with the Gucci empire. The scene this time shows women dressed in a unified uniform flying somehow firing off multiple attacks on men women and children with no mercy. While the other shows St.Ellis port being under a different flag.

"The Futam Empire is known for a lot of things seastone, their people and more famously their ability to create technology when they need it the most." 

What she shows this time is Witches being shot out of the sky by men using single shot bolt action rifles and Gucci soliders being outranged by the superior weapons of the Futam Empire. Yep even in the modern-day where Mappa is constantly threatening invasion they always pull out fearing the deep potential of the Futam Empire military.

"But they aren't the only ones who were advancing, the Gucci was also advancing their canon technology and the Witches were pushing out new ways to use their codex." 

This time the Futam Empire is being pushed back first by the Gucci longer-ranged canons and the Witches using a new technique that's still used today called territorial change. A technique they gained from analyzing Spirt beast at least so I've heard.

"Once again the tides of war had changed this time the people of Futam were demanding a change in leadership, that their current one was sending them to hell it was made worse by the fact that rumours the Mappans were planning to join the war made the statement worse." 

This time soliders holding a green flag with a white hawk on it are shown preparing for war. The Mappans post-modern flag was changed in the civil war to a lion instead of a hawk.

"In desperation…. that bastard! Ordered a full March on Eden accepting no surrender taking no prisoners only death, on the eight-month of the 245 years Eden was wiped off the map and Witches were left near extinct." 

The only thing is shown this time is fire nothing but fire.

"Two years later the Samarians were wiped out by a Mythical beast that looks very similar to the one owned by the Alps while they were taken over by the Mappans seemingly losing their Mythical beast and the Gucci kingdom still stands today at least from what I've heard." 

This time the images are shown are a little hard to see almost glitchy. 

"That's my story, minus my revenge plan to use the Spirit beast to wipe out the Futam Empire, but I was delayed by a super-powerful human named Number one that's all I know and can tell."

Even with all that we weren't told whether or not the Witches truly help the Gucci kingdom maybe they did, maybe not.

"Since you have listened to my story I shall keep my promise." 

The mana in the area begin to fly off the charts, the dolls around Elizabeth begins to chant something in an ancient tune. For some reason, Princess begins to slowly fall and I'm forced to catch her. Everyone goes into attack mode but Elizabeth says something to dispel our hostility.

"My time is up I'm merely passing on my powers to the young lady for there should always be a key." 

Princess wakes up in my arms her eyes turn ruby red and parts of her hair turn red as well. Turning to Elizabeth she has Disappeared as well as leaving only a staff on the ground.

"What happened?" Princess asks slowly getting up staring at the staff on the ground.

"You're now a witch Princess how does it feel." Gunslinger asks with a smile on his face.

"Like my head was blown to pieces where is Elizabeth….." 

Rawr!!!!!! Is the sound that woke everyone up since we are hearing it now that means were are in a dead zone.

"Let's get this party moving or we will be caught up in something dangerous." Gloomy Runes say while running towards the other end dead set on getting the treasure. It's what we came for anyway.
