*****Taehyung's POV*****
It's not abnormal that I want to stay away from women. A woman means mess, issues, scandals, heartbreak and the list is never-ending. Even though some of them catch my attention but it has no chance to get further than that.
Why am I saying this? Just see Jin hyung and Jimin as examples. Jimin is a mess since 5 years after that mishap. And Jin hyung has no idea what he is doing right now. I had the notion that there is something going on between him and the new research fellow.
But I didn't know that things are progressing with such speed. They are already in a relationship. I was shocked when Jimin shared the shocking news yesterday. But I don't know why did he choose to be with Ridhi. There are hundreds of girls going crazy over him. Why she?
But one thing is for sure. He has invited dangers for her as well. I knew that Jong-In hyung will come back. And if he senses something going on with us he won't leave the chance to take that opportunity. His dexterity of finding weakness is the one that I fear the most.
The workload is crazy since last week. I didn't even have the time to take lunch today. SK Entertainment has announced audition schedules in 14 countries starting from next week. A new artist from our company is debuting next month. Things are pretty complicated now because of our employee shortage in foreign relationship departments. 3 of the employees got fired previous week because of mishandling of some information. We've scheduled overtime for employees in that department.
"Mr Kim..." My secretary knocks on the door.
"Yes, come in."
"There are some issues related to the assigned employees for overtime. Some of them are opposing the idea of doing extra works allotted after their respective working time."
"What are they saying?"
"One of them is pregnant. Another man is shifting his home today. And I don't know the issue with another girl. She is too stubborn and she won't even explain the issue."
"Let the pregnant lady go home. Tell the second one to stay and finish his work. And fire the 3rd one."
"We can't fire the 3rd one Sir."
"Why can't we?"
"She's Miss Kim Ray."
"So? Is she the first lady of South Korea?"
"No Sir, she's the only daughter of one of our important beneficiaries Mr. Kim. We can't do that."
"That's a problem then."
"I told you, Sir."
"Ask her to come here. I'll talk to her."
"Ok Sir."
Yes, women are headaches. I don't know how to deal with them. I'm not efficient in that department.
I start organizing my thoughts. What should I say to make her do the overtime? I can't be rude. But I don't want her to take the advantage of her position as well.
"May I come in?" She is here.
I cough. "Come in."
So, this is Miss Kim Atzy Ray. She has an athletic built but there's a womanly charm in her as well. Judging from her outlook she is not Korean. She has more of a South Asian vibe. She is may be from Indian subcontinent.
"You asked for me?" She's soft-spoken. She stands in front of me with her eyes at the ground while bending a little in front.
"Yes, I heard that you're not cooperating with doing the overtime. Do you understand the reason that you've asked to do so?"
"Yes. I know. Some employees got fired and we've to complete that workload." She lifts her face a little and it seems swollen.
"Then what is your reason for rejecting it?"
"I have some personal issues. I can't do it today."
"You need to explain the reason. Judging on that I'll decide whether to let you go or not."
"I can't explain. It's personal."
"Miss Kim Ray. There's nothing called personal if you're neglecting your job. What's the reason?"
"I can't say." She is now looking directly at me. She has this awkward vibe of "shaken, not stirred" in her body language.
"Then I can't accept your leave today." I literally snap at her. I'm not able to control my temper anymore.
"Mr Kim. Do you have a girlfriend?" She says with her voice a little high.
"What???"
"Do you have a sister? Or does your mother live with you?" She raises her voice higher.
"What do you want to say? What is the connection of my personal relations with this?"
"If you have then you'll understand. Ask them about menstrual pain. They will explain why I won't be able to do the overtime today. Did you get it?" She starts spitting fire.
What is this situation that I am in? I don't even interact with women that much and now I have to deal with a woman who is snapping out at me because she is in menstrual pain? What should I do?
"Okay, calm down. But I'm not familiar with this kind of situation."
"You have female employees here. You should be familiar with it. It's not only me who has this kind of problem everyday. It's about women's rights."
Crap! Women's rights? Where is this leading to?
"I may complain against you if you force me to work in this situation."
Okay, she has courage. She is talking about suing me while standing inside my office, in front of me. But I need to control this situation now.
"Okay, okay. I understand. You may go. But please don't repeat this every now and then. If you do then I will consider that you're taking advantage of being a woman."
"I already have advantage Mr Kim. You know my father I guess. I will excuse myself now. Thank you." She kind of smirks at me and intends to go out.
Did she just smirk at me?
"Wait. Were you being sarcastic right now?"
She stops for a moment and then suddenly clasping her stomach she falls on the ground.
"Ahhh... I can't walk anymore! I'm sorry Mr Kim...but I'm in pain actually."
I'm freaking out now. This is on a whole new level. What is this? What should I do? I need air to breathe.
I call on the emergency number. "Please send someone from the medical center in my office right now. Someone is sick. Bring a stretcher."
I go running towards her and try to lift her up. "Miss Ray, are you okay? Can you try to stand up? I have called the medical center. Please hold on a little bit more."
"Uhh.. ahhhhh.... I can't... I can't...it hurts!!" She literally buries her face on my chest. No...no...don't do this! Don't!!! I try to hold her away from me.
She starts crying suddenly. Her body starts shivering with the intensity of her cry.
I try to pat her back and head but I'm confused about how to reduce the pain. I have never felt this helpless in my entire life.
Two attendants come rushing in with a stretcher. I try to pull her up again. But she is not at all convinced to get up from the ground.
Okay! This is what I need to do now. I lift her up from the ground on the stretcher... I finally do that.
"Treat her with whatever you need to do right now. Keep me informed."
They lift the stretcher and go out.
I keep my eyes focused on her. I can be mistaken too but I see her giving me a smirk while going out.
Is she really in pain? Or did I just get fooled by a woman?
