Perks of being in a relationship

*****Ridhi's POV*****

It has been the 4th day since that happened. I am currently not in a position to think about what I'm doing. All I can say is that he came and swept me off of my feet. And now all I can think about is flying high holding his hands.

I can't concentrate on anything else apart from him. My overwhelming feelings for him is leaving no place for any other thoughts. I smile on my own. I laugh. I cry. And I can't explain the reasons to myself even.

The day before yesterday there was a seminar at the office. It was about the field study that we did. The 1.5 weeks long study is going to end tomorrow. Since these days I was able to see him everyday. And every time we crossed path I felt like bursting with emotions. Previously it was extreme sadness. Now it's extreme affection. Both make me restless.

It's 12.30 pm now. Me and Diya are heading towards the cafeteria to have our lunch. Diya is looking emerged in deep thoughts since the seminar day. I asked her and she just bypassed the question. May be something is bothering her but I won't force her to open up to me. She'll share by herself if she needs to do that.

We order two mixed platters. I like the food here. It's clean and hygienic. Diya is doing something in her phone. Suddenly a girl comes and greets her casually...

"Hey..."

Diya looks at her and I see her expression changing. It's full of concern now. She looks guarded. She doesn't acknowledge back. What's the matter?

"Do you remember me? We met that day at the pub. You were with Mr Kim and Jimin. Right?"

Diya suddenly leaves her chair and literally snaps back, "No, I was not. You're mistaken."

What is this?? Diya was with Jin and Jimin? At a pub? When did that happen? She didn't tell me anything about it.

"Haha, don't lie. I remember you very well. You were looking really angry that day. But thank god you left. You didn't witness the mess right after that." The girl says with a sarcastic tone.

Diya suddenly grabs her hand and says, "May we talk outside? I don't know what you are saying. My friend gets concerned over silly facts. Please clear your confusion."

"You must be Ridhi. I know you." The girl winks at me.

Well, now I'm concerned. How does she know me? I ask her, "Do you know me? Because I don't."

"I'm Atzy. Your friend knows me. Ask her."

I look at Diya with questions in my eyes.

"Ridhi, I'll explain later. Atzy or whatever... please come with me. We'll talk outside."

"I don't have anything to talk to you. I just realized a fact that you don't have the slightest manner to acknowledge a person that you've seen before. Why are you lying?"

"I am just telling you that if you need to say anything then let's talk outside. Don't involve her. She knows nothing about what happened."

"Diya, please tell me what's wrong. What happened? What are you hiding?" I ask Diya. I need to know what is she talking about.

Diya sighs. She lowers her head and then glares at Atzy.

"Okay, Don't get mad. But I'll tell everything. I just didn't want to concern you."

"Now you're making me concerned more than I was before. Tell me now."

"I will. But later. Not now."

"What's happening here? Miss Kim Ray, weren't you sick yesterday? Are you fine today? Or do you need to go home today also?" Mr Kim Taehyung walks over our table. We didn't notice him before. But he was present here may be.

Atzy looks surprised suddenly. She seems perplexed. She keeps looking at him.

"Yeah, I'm fine. Thank you. Excuse me now. I'll go. I have work to do." Atzy hurries and walks out of the cafeteria.

Me and Diya both look at each other being confused. It looked like Atzy just escaped from the scene right after Mr Kim came.

"Are you both okay?" Taehyung asks us both.

"Yeah, we're okay. But why did she escape?" I ask him.

"Well, Don't mind her. She is a troublemaker. She loves to break rules and play around. May be she did something wrong and that's why can't face me. Anyway, leave it. Did you guys have lunch?"

"No, we were about to." I reply.

"Let's eat then. I have something to talk about."

I feel awkward. We don't at all know him to have lunch together. Me and Diya both look at each other. Taehyung notices that. He suddenly laughs and says,

"Well, I know this is awkward that we don't know each other that much. But what I'm going to discuss is something serious. I hope you can understand that."

"No, no... it's not that. You're in a high position here. Won't it look bad if you sit here and have lunch with us?" Diya tries to lighten the environment.

"No. Not at all. Our company is a little different. It is an entertainment company. We value people over fake decorum. We're all colleagues here. It's cool." Taehyung says like a carefree person.

"Let's have lunch then." Diya exclaims happily.

We go and collect our food and come back at the table.

"I'll start then. Okay?" Taehyung says.

We both laugh. Taehyung is a humble person.

"Yes, sure."

"Firstly, congratulations on getting our boss's heart." Taehyung suddenly winks at me.

What? Is this a hot news now? I look around. Suddenly I feel like all the eyes in the cafeteria are locked on me. Everyone knows? How? When? We were supposed to keep a low profile. I feel at the edge.

"Don't be bothered please. Nobody knows except Jimin and me. You can relax. We're his closest people. We're brothers. We know everything that happens around him."

"Okay. Thank you!" I feel relaxed.

"I know it's going to sound scary but Don't get scared. Because we are here to look after whatever happens. But keep yourself safe because you've successfully gained lots of enemies. People who were after Jin hyung will be after you now because you're dating him."

"Enemies? Jin has enemies?"

Diya is quietly eating her food. It seems like she is already aware about this.

"Of course he does. Come on. He is a successful CEO and there are lots of people who want his end. I'm just requesting you to continue to keep a low profile so that you don't attract eyes. Because you know it's not always possible to trace every danger that may happen."

"I don't understand what you're saying. Please explain a little bit."

Taehyung sighs.

"Do you remember that someone kind of attacked you when you were admitted here? That's Kim Jong-in. He's my step brother. He was Jin hyung's best friend. Something happened and they became the worst enemies. He knows about you and he'll continue to scare you or hurt you. He is vile. Now you know who is your enemy too. Right?"

What should I say? Being in a relationship seemed like flowers, rainbows, unicorns. I didn't expect enemies, knives and scary experiences at all.

"Okay. But what happened? Why did they become enemies?" Diya finally asks him.

"Something too bad happened. You'll get to know about it later. For now, the less you know the more you're safe. It was my duty to let both of you know. Because beside from Ridhi you're also not safe. You already know why." Taehyung says to Diya.

She sighs and concentrates on her food again.

I feel like there is something which I don't know. But everyone knows except me. Even Diya. What did she hide from me? Is this the reason that she was looking bothered? I need to know what's happening.

But one thing that I know is that when I embraced Jin I decided to embrace all of him. And that include his happiness, flaws, pains, struggles, nightmares, dreams and everything. I have the courage to do that. I won't back out no matter what.

Let the world come after him. I will stay like his shadow even if his own shadow leaves him. That is my love for him. None can deny that.
