Very Very Interesting

Following the events of the last chapter this happens a few days after, everyone was going through a time of recovery due to the harsh events of the time of doomsday. It was a cataclysmic attack that really destroyed a huge chunk of Japan, luckily casualties were minimal, but reconstruction would be very very hard and take a rather long time so all efforts were going on to that. Of course Toriel being Queen and Axis being King would have to put out statements for some event like this to put everyone at ease. One day after doomsday Toriel stood on a stage and was broadcasted along with Axis delivering a speech regarding the situation and how they would respond to ut.. it went something like

Suddenly shifting towards a sight of a small stage made out of pure energy sitting in the middle of the road. A regal looking Kitsune who would look around darting her eyes from side to side infornt of a mic that stood infront of her. This was none other than the Queen of monsters Toriel who was a tad bit anxious in the moment though of course she would keep herself together for the people her kind heart would never allow for herself to cause more stress upon the people. A hand would've touched her shoulder from behind now as the Kitsune turned her head backwards she was greeted by a pleasant smile now it was none other than that of her husband the King of Humans well more particularly the ones in Japan. His sense of leadership and uprising nature was valued by many and that is why he even sustained his position. Toriel now took a rather deep breath in with a growing confidence inside of herself now as a smile of hope and determination would shine over the more wary face of hers. Toriel would raise her hand and wait for the crowd around to quiet down before tapping the mic infront of her several times. "Hello everyone, I hope you can hear me. I want to tell you that I'm sorry I didn't do enough on that day, I really didn't know if it was going to happen or not and I should've taken those precautions far more seriously than the way I handled them. In turn we shall be increasing protections around here and the training of our soldiers and police men. Furthermore there will be a grand effort to restore our country and we will even be helping personally to show you our dedication." Toriel would say bringing her husband in close, wrapping an arm around him. Although this would suprise him and it was slightly embarrassing at the moment. "Furthermore I don't want any of you to give up hope or any of that! I believe this will only be a minor setback and may even help us pave a way to future greatness." Suddenly someone runs up onto the stage they certainly stuck out with their flowing brown hair and yellowish skin and suddenly she jumped on the stage next to the Queen, but it would seem no one had stopped them.. why? Well that's because when looking at them they'd realize it was none other than the daughter of the queen, well one of them Frisk Dreemurr! They had a big old smile on their face even at a time like this they simply didn't let gloom get to them and only wanted to raise anyone's spirits. Frisk walked up and took the mic from her mother. "Everyone out there, always know to never give up your hopes and dreams.. without that what is there to live for in a hopeless world without dreams. Without these things we can never strive for a better life. Don't let this bad situation stay stagnant, always strive for a better future." Frisk would speak with a certain charm and elegance that would really rile the crowd even more than they were putting everyone at a maximum. To see the bearers of many people's hopes and dreams all smiling it really washed away their sadness and took away a weight from their bodies. Frisk looked back at her parents who just nicely nodded. With some more words the event was done

Back in present time it was quite early in the day now as someone lie awake in their bed and sighed as they only looked towards the sky. Their eyes had looked rather dead.. it was like something horrible had happened to them they then closed their eyes for a moment before reaching their hand off to the side of their bed and grasping something from the nightstand right next to them. The object was held above them as they only looked at it the object shining even within the darkness.. it was a locket in the shape of a heart bearing the deltarune symbol on the front the hope of the monsters. With a movement of their finger the heart shaped locket opened up revealing a image of two children one a monster resembling a fox and the other a small child with a weird smile. The one holding the locket couldn't help but smile themself when seeing it their smile resembling the girl pictured within the locket. Some tears would've dropped down their face, this was the other daughter of Toriel, Chara Dreemurr. The event from a couple days ago had more effect on her than she actually wanted to share, especially due to her many built up and bottled emotions from all of the years. Feelings of worthlessness.. and darkness crept into her mind, remembering the good old times when everything was way simpler and everyday was fun was nice to think about. With a small chuckle thinking about some moments back then she places the locket around her neck and gets up. Chara would wander out the door and step down the stairs as she would try to better get these things off her mind with physical movement though surprisingly there was someone else awake at this time specifically within the kitchen. It was a rather lanky and tall person who appeared to not have much skin on their bones.. or at all, this was none other than Papyrus, the greatest of all and vice captain of the royal guard. The kind and courteous skeleton would look curiously at Chara whilst he was seemingly cooking something, Papyrus quickly put a finger to his nonexistent lips and shushed. "Human what are you doing up so early.. but please do be quiet I was trying to surprise you all in these trying times with a wonderful breakfast." Chara would've guigen a slightly shocked look and would then smile at Papyrus; he was just wonderful and probably the best person she could talk to. "Oh it's uh nothing Paps, I just couldn't sleep is all ya know? But don't worry I won't tell anyone or something like that." Papyrus would've suddenly had a rather worried expression on his face as he stopped his cooking for a moment looking at Chara. "Human, please tell me what is wrong. I, the great Papyrus will do whatever I can! If it was a nightmare i'll simply get rid of it!" Chara now would close her eyes in a bit of thinking before opening them again "Papyrus I guess you could say it was something like a nightmare. The event that happened has been getting to me. I keep holding everything in and it's just hard to take it." Papyrus would've placed a hand onto his chin now and thought of how to handle this. "Well if you need to let out all your emotions you can just keep talking to me! I'll help you through all your problems human. I wish for you to know you may always rely on me, and there is nothing to fear as long as I am here. Though we should talk about this more in the morning i'll allow you to sleep in my magnificent race car bed and hug my best teddy bear teddyson." Chara would go silent and walked up to Papyrus giving him a bit of a surprising hug now, there was quite some force into it though Papyrus would simply hug them back. "Now go get some sleep or your mother will get mad at me." Chara would nod going back upstairs to the room of Papyrus and laying down in his bed.. now a skip to later on in the day. Now later on there would be quite the lazy and smaller skeleton laying in bed with a nightcap on and a blindfold. The skeleton groaned as they began to wake up slowly taking off the blindfold and looking towards the bed where his brother usually was.. this of course being Sans. "Hey Bro good morn-" Sans suddenly stopped confused as he noticed that wasn't Papyrus quickly getting up yet still being a lazy shortcut right to the bed, but would be relieved it was only the kid.. well kid to him at least. The bigger thing that confused them was why were they in paps bed? Sans didn't wake them though looked and saw in their hands was the teddy bear that Papyrus always had. "Oh I see." Sans chuckled and turned towards the door to exit and go downstairs then he would realize he woke up quite late. Well that wasn't the most unusual thing. Noticing that everyone was already downstairs everyone would do a simple greeting towards him, though of course one had more to add. "Nyehehehe brother! I have prepared the ultimate breakfast for you all to put you all in great spirits, do not worry." Papyrus suddenly planted a plate of pancakes sausage eggs.. yet something about them seemed exquisite he really tried with this more than anything, of course with a side of noodles. Sans would smile at his brother now "Thanks bro I don't know if I tell you enough, but you're amazing." Sans would sit down at the table beginning to eat up the plate. Normal chatter between everyone would now ensue until Chara walked downstairs as well. She took quite a while due to her not sleeping a long time, when the girl had come downstairs A smaller fox compared to Toriel seemed to come over and they had a bit of a concerned expression on their face. "Chara are you alright? Papyrus told me that you seemed a little messed up earlier today." Chara would've seemed to avert his gaze "Asriel, bro i'm alright now really no need to worry." Chara then turned back towards him with a wide grin and put her hand into his, rubbing it while chuckling. Asriel would just laugh too, he's glad his sister seems to be alright. With that happening a jingle would be heard at the main door as it sounded like someone was coming in. All attention would've been on the door and what came through was greatly unexpected. It was a rather tall man that shared similar fox-like features to Toriel and Asriel; they had quite a big smile on their face yet awkward at the same time. "Hello everyone, I know it may be weird to come in so suddenly like this so I brought pie too" Toriel would've of course been the first to speak "A-asgore" A smile then appeared onto her face, she wasn't displeased by his presence she had made amends with him even if he hadn't seen it. "It's nice to see you again, Asgore. I guess you didn't lie from what you told Asriel. Now come on in here with the rest of us." After Toriel said this the man would walk further in setting his pie down in the center table. Pie is pie so everyone would go to have some sort of surprise. It was really yummy and familiar "This tastes like Toriels.." "This tastes like moms." Two other children within the room would be staring at Asgore rather oddly, one of these children being significantly bigger than the other. The bigger child had the same fox-like feature as the others yet appeared more humanoid. This was the first hybrid Shiromida, and right beside her, her new friend Sora. Shiro would've turned towards Sora suddenly confused. "Hey Sora do you know that guy?" Sora would nod his head up and down. "How do you not know him? He's the king of the monsters." "Wait.. so he's the dad of my siblings? Oh I probably fell asleep while mom talked about him or something." Sora would sigh at this, but then laughed. Then pushing her towards Asgore. "Go talk to em!" Shiro then looked back up at him as she was stuttering to even speak, being a bit flustered as she was suddenly thrust into the interaction. "M-mr Asgore hello!" Asgore chuckled at the remark "Just Asgore is fine, it's nice to see you once more Shiro you've grown big and strong i'm proud of you." He puts a hand on the shoulder of hers as if to show how far she's grown as before he would indeed have to bend down to touch her. Shiro would then rapidly nod her head agreeing. "Yeah yeah I have! I even stopped some bad guys on that day Mr Asgore." Asgore's smile slightly dimmed he was glad the child was able to fend themselves though the memory of it was unsettling. "Very good child, I'm glad your efforts were enough to do so." After a bit more conversing with them it is then interrupted now as Frisk raises their hand into the air grabbing all the intention in the room. "Ahem everyone, I've been talking to Alphys about something and we are going to make an attempt to bring that man I've been telling you all about back." Everyone would've been quite surprised by this and curious with Sans saying something being the most knowledgeable. "So.. how's she gonna do that." Frisk would've shook her head from side to side. "Don't know she didn't tell me, but she wants us all to come." Sans's eyes go black for a moment as he was in thought then shook his head. "It's whatever, let's find out when we get there." Without any further argument or speech at all everyone made a movement towards the lab that Alphys had worked within. Once the main door to it opened Alphys was standing besides Undyne who was currently cuddling against them, though when the door opened that would quickly stop. Alphys suddenly turned around stammering. "Uh-uh uhm hello everybody! Sorry about that anyways come on in, I've got some idea to get that mystery man back into the world." Sans being the only other high level intellect would speak back "Hey Al so what've you got?" "R-right hold on." Alphys would have walked away and rummaged and grabbed a file that was laying on top of her desk showing the cover of it towards everyone. The cover of it read "artificial soul creation." The title seemed to give a reaction from Sans in the form of shock. "The artificial soul project? Wasn't that scrapped a long time ago we could never get it to work." Alphys then had a rather proud smile. "I figured it out.. how to make one. It took me some time, but I was rather interested in continuing it after reaching the surface with the new resources." Undyne then did a slight knock onto the shoulder of Alphys. "Of course this smart little dinosaur was able to do it." "Th-thanks Undyne." Sans would seem quite curious now. "Show me how this works." Alphys would lead the group over to a peculiar device with many electronics and wires surrounding it, but something noticeable within it would be a soul container like the ones that Asgore used. "So Sans the main problem was the souls weren't stable enough, but with some new technology I figured that out and how to make them not break apart so easy, but what else was I found out we needed a higher concentration of soul energy than we used, with our better extraction technology we can do that with less chance of injury now. So now first i'll need small soul samples from all of you, due to the situation frisk told me he's apparently not a monster nor human anymore really it would be best to get different types of souls for his new one." Chara would be curious about this because it was similar to her; she technically wasn't a monster or a human, it's just that she seemed very human. "How does that work for him?" Alphys took a few moments to respond. It was sort of complicated. "Well technically he doesn't exist so he's really not anything anymore." How curious Chara would think a nonexistent yet existent being too. After some time some soul DNA or essence was extracted from each of them and then placed into a device. Fluids would have flowed around and the machine started to whirr and smoke plumes out of it. An odd soul was starting to be formed. Sans eyes widened now it was.. working! Noting the expression of it seemingly working Frisk would have run over to a wall around and knocked onto it until a door appeared, a door into the void. Frisk would open up the door created by the mystery man. "Dr. It seems like it's working, get ready to take over the soul." Silence would continue around the void, though hearing Alphys say something Frisk turned around. "Ah ah it's done it says it's done, just gotta wait for all the smoke to go away." When all the smoke began to dim down and thin out there were footsteps heard coming out from it and a weird eerie aura was felt all around the room. Darker, darker.. yet somehow even darker. Out of the smoke came what seemed to be a skeletal like monster with a very wide grin that would only shrug nicely and took a look directly at Sans and Papyrus. "Hello my sons."
