That is outrageous"A man stands up shouting.

If there nothing more you want to say I'll be leaving and when you make you're decision I'll be out"I say as they leave ,and I'm thinking why has no one stood up to them before.

Damiel's POV

As I go to the living room I see all the old annoying elderly men and women who disturbed my morning.

Why do you dare disturb my morning?"my angry voice fils the room as I can feel everyone tremble.

Y-your H-highness we came to see if the Virgin rituals were performed as per as our customs demand"A woman says as I'm not sure if Lystria is really a virgin and I don't want her to get disgraced.

That doesn't give you the right to barge in here unannounced,"I say as Lystria enters loving beautiful as ever and I couldn't help but to stare at her.

After telling the elders on her refusal to participate in the ritual and I whisper to her that I can help her but she disagrees then I zone out then I heard when she says she would do the ritual if I do it and I couldn't say if I was happy , surprised or angry that she could even muster the courage to bring this idea then she left and I dismissed everyone and I see her lost in her thoughts.

I look up and I see the king staring at me with mixed emotions and I could feel the akward silence and then he spoke.

What did you just say inside?"he says in an angry tone

What needed to have been said a long time ago" I say as bold as I can trying to relax despite the intimidating aura I was feeling.

If you weren't a Virgin you should have told me other than disgracing yourself and the kingdom"he shouts

I chuckle"you think it's about the Virgin status, no it's about the fact that women are treated unfairly in this kingdom and you didn't do anything about it because you're not affected

It's not in my place to destroy a rite that has been going on since as long as I can remember"

You know something ,I really thought you were someone understanding but I was wrong,if women get to the ritual what of men are they left out too but they will still be the one to take advantage of us but of course you won't consider that because you are not in our shoes"

I'm sorry for not performing up to your expectations but I really thought you could make a difference "I say as I leave with tears flowing but I couldn't help it I was tough but this was outrightly wrong.

I could feel the anger in her voice and I realized that I was in the wrong and I decided to make it right .

I keep walking as i reach the stables and I get attracted to a particular black horse and I begin petting it as it neighs happily.

Okay you were right ,I was not considering how this rite is impacting on the women and I'm apologizing for my actions"he says as he scratches his head something he does when he's angry.So am I forgiven?"

I continue patting the horse as I look at him"You still haven't apologized saying the those three magic words if you don't say it then you can leave but you're not forgiven"I say using a serious face as I realize that he doesn't apologize usually and I wanted to see if he would.

This women is driving me crazy I've never apologized to someone before even John and she's telling me too and something in me want to say it so I found myself mustering those forbidden words"I..I...I am S..so...ry

As I hear those words I was astonished not thinking he could say it but I don't want to let him of the hook that easily.

Am I forgiven?"he asks

No ?"I say as a little smile form on my lips
