Chapter 13 - Back in Chaldea

Felix slowly opened his eyes, but his vision wasn't clear as it was blurred as he blinked a few times before it became clear. He saw a white ceiling as his eye widened as he grumbled a bit as he rubbed his eyes and yawned.

"Good morning Master." Medusa said from her position beside his bed.

"Wha!" Felix immediately got up when he heard her in shock.

Medusa is sitting beside his bed on a chair as he looked at her shocked as he blinked.

"Medusa?" Felix asked her as he looked at her.

"Yes, it's me Master." Medusa said with a nod.

"Oh..." Felix said as he heard her as he held his head.

The memories of the events that had happened before came back to his mind as he let out a breath before he looked at her.

"So, it actually happened huh." Felix said to her as he looked at her.

"Yes. Our battle in the singularity was real." Medusa said to him with a nod.

"I see. What about the others?" Felix asked her as he sat on the bed.

"The others are fine to an extent. Doctor Roman had asked me to tell you to go to the Rayshift area after you had woken up." Medusa said to him.

"Is that so? Let's go then. You are coming right?" Felix said to her as he got out of his bed.

"Of course Master. As your Servant it is my duty to be here for you." Medusa said to him with a nod.

"Thanks. I appreciate that." Felix said to her with a smile.

"It's not a problem. Let's not make the others wait." Medusa said to him as he nodded.

"Okay." Felix said before he walked and exited the room.

After that the two walked, though Felix asked Medusa to guide him since he doesn't fully know his way around the place to which she was more than willing to help him in. The two walked on the way as Felix thought of something to talk with her, and ultimately he wasn't able to decide on a topic which caused their walk to be a quiet one.

'Damn it. The disadvantage of being a loner is that I don't know how to initiate a conversation. I can't even use her family considering how her sisters are.' Felix thought to himself as he walked alongside her.

But then he got an idea as he thought about the battle they had at the singularity as he found a topic.

"Hey Medusa. At the battle in the cave, you were really skilled when you were fighting against Saber." Felix said to her as he walked.

"It was nothing Master. I had fought against many foes in the past so I was able to hold my own against her." Medusa said as she walked beside him.

"Yeah. Oh, and also, the legends about you say that you were a priestess in Poseidon's temple but others say that you were not. Which one is true?" Felix asked her curiously, even though he knew about it.

"The second one. I was one of three goddess who were born from the wishes and imagination of the people. However I was a defect in comparison to my two sisters." Medusa said though he could feel a sad tone in her voice.

"What was the defect that you had?" Felix asked her.

"I grew. Compared to my sister's, my body had grown older, taller and more plump than theirs. I became ugly while my sister's remained beautiful and enchanting." Medusa said as she sighed.

'Yeah. I don't know about that.' Felix thought to himself as he heard her.

"Well, I think you're pretty beautiful." Felix said to her as he thought about it for a few seconds.

"Wha? Beautiful?" Medusa asked surprised as she looked at him.

"Yeah. I don't know what the ancient Greeks saw as beauty but I think you're pretty beautiful. I mean, you have good height, flawless skin, long hair with a unique colour, and good... assets as well." Felix said to her before getting a bit shy at the last part.

"Assets?" Medusa asked confused.

"I meant your chest and butt." Felix clarified for her.

"Oh." Medusa said as she looked at herself.

To be completely honest she has never seen her own body as being beautiful. She was told by her sisters that she had become ugly and the people were also like this. The people of Greece were also of the same opinion So it was a shock to hear something like that from her Master our of all people.

"You really think that I'm beautiful?" Medusa asked him as she looked at him.

"Yes. By my standards and by the standards of most men, yeah, you are a pretty beautiful woman. So don't think that you're defective. If anything, that makes you the most unique out of the three of you sisters right?" Felix said to her with a smile.

"Is that true?" Medusa asked a bit surprised.

"Yeah. Since you are the only one of the three who grew up as you said, that means that amongst the three of you, you are the most unique right?" Felix said to her with a smile.

"Hmm. I don't know. While my sisters retained their divinity, I had lost mine. So I don't think that I was of any importance compared to them." Medusa said to him.

"You shouldn't be thinking like that you know. Anyway, I think you're a pretty beautiful woman anyway. You can at least take my word for it can't you?" Felix said to her with a smile.

"I suppose. Thank you for saying such words to me Master." Medusa said as she gave a small nod to him.

"It's no problem." Felix said with a smile.

They reached the Rayshift room soon after as they entered it. The place has certainly seen better days. Felix can see that the coffins seem to have been moved as he can't find them. He also saw Mash and Medea standing beside eachother as they were looking at the wreckage.

But they turned around when they heard the door opening as the two seemed to be surprised, Medea still has her hood over her face.

"Mash. Medea." Felix greeted as he walked to them.

"Master. It's good to see you awake." Mash said to him with a smile.

"Yeah. I'm glad as well." Felix said as he stood in front of the two of them and then hugged Mash.

Mash was surprised by the action while Felix let out a breath of relief.

'I'm glad she is alright. I didn't know if the Rayshift would work correctly.' Felix thought to himself as he hugged her.

"M-Master Felix?" Mash asked as she blushed.

"Ah sorry. I was just happy to see that you're fine. Our last battle was a lot." Felix said to her as he let go of her.

"Thank you for your concern Master. But I am completely fine." Mash said as she composed herself.

"And it looks like you have your legs are back as well." Felix said with a smile.

"Ah. Yes. I have got my legs back as well." Mash said with a smile.

"*Ahem* If you two are done? Can I talk?" Roman said as he is sitting on a piece of rubble.

"Ah, Dr. Roman. How are you?" Felix greeted the man with a smile.

"I'm fine. Thanks for asking." Roman said with a smile.

"Um, where's director Olga?" Felix asked as he looked around him.

At his words the others shared a glance, though Medusa didn't since she has her eyes covered.

"The events that happened in the singularity was too much for the director to handle. And honestly, I don't blame her. Lev was the person she has trusted the most in the world. So when he of all people betrayed her she was devastated. She is currently in her room and is refusing to meet with anyone." Roman said to him with a sigh.

"Even Medea?" Felix asked as he looked at her.

"Unfortunately she doesn't trust me as much as you do Master Felix." Medea said to him.

Felix went quiet after that. He doesn't know much about Olga because there wasn't much information about her to begin with. Heck, she was killed in the very first singularity so her other personality traits hadn't been written so he is drawing a blank on her.

'And that's no considering the countless other Servants in this universe. I don't know as much as I should need.' Felix thought to himself a bit frustrated.

He thought about it for a few moments before he looked at Roman.

"Can I try to talk to her?" Felix asked the doctor.

"You want to try to talk to the director?" Roman asked surprised alongside the rest.

"Yeah. I don't know if she'll let me in but I can try." Felix said to him.

"Well, I guess it's worth a try. You are the only one who hasn't gone to her. Alright, if she does allow you to enter, then please try to comfort her to the best of your ability." Roman said to him seriously.

"Well, I'll do what I can." Felix said as he gave a small grin.
