While going in, Arthur couldn't help but be amazed.

Chapter 25

The building for the council was like a two storey building. They were guards all over that were restricting people from entering or getting close to the building.

But that was not what amazed Arthur, it was the interior of the building. It was crafted so perfectly, it had a touch of modern and traditional aesthetics. They were paintings everywhere. Paintings of old and powerful vampires. They depicted them in different moments. Some were captured when they were in a grand duel, battle or in a victory pose.

They were guards lined up on each side of the walls. They were also torches that were lit up.

Then Felix led Arthur towards the council room which was upstairs. There was a staircase that led up there.

And after some time, they finally got in front of the door to the room.

"come let's go in." Felix beckoned.

And then Felix gave the door a gentle push and the door opened to reveal a large and wide room that was dimly lit with some weird looking crystals.

The room was approximately 180 square metres. The room was around 15 metres In length and around 12 metres in width and it was around 4 meters in height.

The grand meeting room is a vast, opulent space with high ceilings, adorned with intricate moldings and crystal chandeliers. The walls were painted a rich, dark blue (almost black) and adorned with elegant, floor to ceiling curtains. The floor was made of polished, dark hardwood reflecting the dim lighting.

The room could comfortably accommodate 12_15 individuals, with a large, ornate table at its center. The table measures around 6 metres in length and 2 metres in width plus, high backed six chairs surrounding the table in a U like formation and then at the head of the table were five grand and throne like chairs designed and made especially for the leaders.

Out of the six chairs, four of them were occupied by the alliance. And Arthur was directed by Felix to take the other chair while he went to sit on the last remaining chair.

When they were all settled in, that was when another door that was opposite to the one Arthur came in from was opened and in came in the five leaders who were the council elders.

Each of them carried a powerful aura that almost suffocated the alliance if it wasn't for the fact that they had battled the most dangerous evil already, they will have been reeling on the floor now because of the aura.

The leaders were: Lee Darkfire, leader of the first family, the house of Khaos. He is the strongest fire user in the whole Vampire world.

The second leader: Edward thane, the leader of the second family, The Crimson Family. He is the most strongest ice user. It is said that anybody trapped in his ice ability won't find it easy to break free.

The Third leader: Bryce Lucas, the leader of the third family, House of Eternal dominion. He is Arthur's father and also a strong earth user.

Fourth leader: Clark Grey, the leader of the fourth family, The House of Erebus. He is a very strong wind user and also very shrewd.

Fifth family: Xandros Bloodworth, the leader of the fifth family, the Xandros. He was the one that created the family from scratch and proved himself worthy to be at the table with the other leaders. He is the most powerful shadow user in the whole Vampire world. It is said when he uses his ability it will be near to impossible to detect him.

"And all these leaders were in the room with me. The most powerful Vampire leaders and they decided to stay and hide here when the Nightstalker struck" Arthur thought disgustedly.

When the leaders came in everyone stood up to pay their respects including Arthur. Then the leaders motioned for them to all sit down because the meeting was starting now.

The first leader, Lee, stood up to begin the meeting since he was the oldest among the leaders.

"We called this meeting here to first of all congratulate this kids for being brave and courageous to take on the Nightstalker on their own and without casualties." Lee said smiling.

"And I also want to congratulate Arthur for unlocking The Heart Of The Vampires. The ancient power that the best of the best Vampires always unlock "

When Lee was congratulating Arthur for unlocking The Heart of the vampire, Bryce couldn't stop smiling. He was feeling so proud of Arthur because he managed to one up the other leaders.

"But unfortunately, the Nightstalker managed to escape. His whereabouts unknown." Lee continued.

"Anyway, we will worry about that at another time but for now this calls for a celebration. I know the results of the event is void because of the Nightstalker's involvement. So we the council have concluded that we will award each and every one of you for your bravery." Lee declared while sitting back down.

"Yes, we want to award all of you. so all you can ask the council for anything you want and if it is in the council's capacity your wish will be granted." Edward said while sitting back down.

"If I may speak please" Zeph requested politely.

"Yes you may" Bryce replied.

"Okay I don't know if it's possible for the council to grant me the ancient scrolls pertaining to the House Of Khaos family so that I can try to increase my ability and unlock more skills." Zeph requested.

The council started whispering among each other pertaining to Zeph's request and after some deliberation, they finally came to a decision.

"Zeph, the council have decided to grant you your request and it will be handed to you after the meeting." Edward said.

"Thank you so much" Zeph said while smiling and bowing.

"Uhmm I want the council to grant me permission to study the ancient scrolls of back beyond time. Because I wanted to study the Nightstalker more." Sophia requested.

The council once again started whispering and deliberating. After some time they came to a decision.

"Sophia, the council will love to grant you your request because we came to learn that it was because of you and your findings that we managed to avoid any casualties."

Sophia also thanked the council for granting her requests. The rest of the alliance also asked for whatever they wanted and it was all granted to them. Then finally it came to Arthur's turn to ask for whatever he wanted.

"So Arthur, what is your request from the council." Clark asked.

"I want answers from the council " Arthur declared boldly.

This surprised everyone In the room Including the alliance. Everyone was surprised about the confidence asked his request. Even though he unlocked the Heart of the vampire, there's no way he could take on the strongest of the vampires.

"You have to be much more clarer about what you want boy." Xandros said while chuckling.

"I wanted to know why the council abandoned us and didn't want to fight the Nightstalker. Thereby letting us go ahead and fight". Arthur asked again.

Arthur's question Caused the council to be angry and furious at Arthur with the way he talked. Making some of the council members to release a little bit of more aura and power in the room.TBC…
