Chapter 49: No more leaving the house !

He looked at her with a simple smile. ". fine now , No need to worry. " He said.

" Thank God . " May responded.

Calcel looked at his wrist watch. " Am already 30 Minutes late , If there's any important information to give , Find me in my office. " He said. " I will leave now. " After this he left her office.

When he had disappeared through the door , May sat back on her chair and looked at the hands that had just hugged Calcel. She grinned with joy not believing she had really hugged him . It was indeed her first hug with him . She was again lucky that he didn't stop her from the hug and this was a good sign for her.

" I will make sure that you are mine ! " She swore looking at her hands which after she hugged herself by caressing her shoulders.

After that she organized some files which she took with her to Calcel's office. After the knock , She got inside and sat down on the visitor's seat.

" Here are all the documents that you needed to sign .I finished all the assignments in time so it won't give you hard time. " She said handing them over.

" Thank you so much. " Calcel said after looking through them.

" Sir , May I ask if you are free this evening ? " May asked.

" Sure , Why ? " He asked.

" You know I was shocked about the event but since I am relieved about your return , I would wish to have dinner with you later after work. " May said.

Calcel didn't think deep about that. He looked at her wondering why she needed that but it was obvious anyway she had told him the reason for dinner. " Fine , I will pick you immediately after work at 4:50. " He said.

" Thank you sir , I will go finish the rest of the work now. " May said and left the office with a smile on her face.

After refreshing , Alyssa stayed in her room scared of David's wrath. She never went to have lunch and David didn't bother to ask for her . He really seemed to angry with her. Tired of staying in her room , She got out walking gently and softly while she got support from the wall to avoid hurting her leg that was already strained.

" Ma'am , Where are you going ? " One of the maids who was passing by asked seeing Alyssa walk like this.

" I just needed to have some fresh air from the gardens. " Alyssa answered.

" I will help you get there. " The maid said and asked Alyssa to clutch on her shoulder for support.

When they were there , She helped sit on the chair . " Thank you so much. " Alyssa said with a smile .

" Nothing much ma'am. Should I bring you anything ? " The maid asked.

" I am...Just some snacks and water. " Alyssa said.

" Okay ma'am. " The maid said and left.

Alyssa looked down at her leg which still had a bruise. She felt sorry for herself. She wished to call her mother or Herman but her phone was broken already . A tear suddenly escaped from her eyes while she still looked at the bruise. That's when the maid returned with the snacks and water to find Alyssa bent looking at the bruise.

" Ma' am , Are you fine ? " She asked.

Alyssa came back to reality and fogged a smile. " Am alright. " She said drying off the tear with get hands.

" Does it hurt ? " The maid asked after seeing the that Alyssa was trying to cover with her dress.

" Not really. Am alright. " Alyssa lied again.

" Okay , I will go to finish some work. " The maid said and left Alyssa.

Alyssa was in the middle of eating her snacks when David came. She had not noticed him till she heard his voice.

" What are you doing here ? " David asked coldly.

" Sir ? " Alyssa asked and forced herself to stand up making a bow before him. " Good afternoon sir ? " She greeted.

David sat opposite her without a word. Alyssa also sat down.

" How do you expect me to be fine after the trouble you had put my son into ? " He asked huskily.

" I am so sorry sir. " She mumbled.

" Sorry , Is that enough ? " David poured.

" I know that sir. " Alyssa simply said.

" From today on wards , You are not allowed to leave this house. " David declared shocking Alyssa.

" And why did sir , How does that connect with yesterday's event ? " Alyssa asked solemnly.

" So you think that I couldn't find out ? " David asked confusing Alyssa.

" Find out what sir ? " She asked with a frown on her face.

" That you were busy cheating on with your former manager Herman ? " David asked.

" Sir , You got it wrong . " Alyssa tried to defend herself.

" One of my guards saw you and Calcel quarrel about that before you slipped into water. " David informed.

That's when Alyssa understood why David was so rude to her. So David thought she was really cheating. There she had no way to defend herself so she kept silent. Tears just started flowing freely over her cheeks .

" Just because you were lucky that the guard left before you fell , Other wise I am sure you must have done something to my son to hide the evidence . Isn't that so ? " David blutteed again .

" Sir , Do you really think of me like that ? " Alyssa couldn't believe this.

" That's what I need to find out. " David said and left her there.

Alyssa wished that she ground would swallow her at the moment. No one in this house believed her at all.

" God , Do I really deserve this ? Why is it hard for anyone to believe me and why should it be Herman in all people ? " She cried out. She pittied Herman because she didn't want the innocent man to get involved in this shit. She wondered why she had to pass through all this because she was a contracted wife. And she kept asking herself what she was supposed to do to make this family happy.

' I have suffered enough , I have to prove myself innocent. ' Alyssa swore to herself while she dried off the tears. She gulped down the glass of water.
