Chapter 23: It's none of your business.

That evening , Alyssa returned home a bit late that everyone was there. She was welcomed by a beautiful scene of Clere and Calcel who were playing a video game . They looked so happy and joyous that Alyssa started remembering how she used to play with his father sometime ago.

None of them had recognized her when Clere took a glance at her.

" Aunty Aly ? " Clere called bringing Alyssa back to reality and throw the gamepad on the sofa before running to hug Alyssa.

" Clere , How are you ? " Alyssa asked while hugging Clere and then released her.

" Am fine Aunty. I was playing with big brother. "

" That's good. " Alyssa said as they both walked towards the sofa where Calcel was still seated.

" Hello Calcel . " Greeted Alyssa with a low bow.

" Clere , See you later . " Calcel got off the sofa and said looking Alyssa straightly with his cold eyes before leaving.

Alyssa knew that he was doing this intentionally. She didn't know why he was really treating her like this and this was bothering her.

" Aunty , How about we play together ? " Clere asked.

" Sure .. " Alyssa said with a smile and sat besides Clere.

It was after sometime when Calcel came in the living room to find Alyssa and Clere still playing the game. He checked his wrist watch and realised that it had been over an hour ever since he had left.

' So she wants to use my sister to get close into the family ? ' Calcel thought looking at the two angrily. He dashed to the table where the tv remote control was and picked it to switch off the tv.

Clere looked puzzled at her brother.." Bro , I was still playing with Aunty ." She argued.

" Go get ready , You are going back to Mom tomorrow. " Calcel said calmly.

" Tomorrow ! " Clere exclaimed not believing this.

" But why all of sudden ? " Alyssa asked also looking puzzled at him.

" It's none of your business. This is a family matter. " Calcel answered.

" Ah...Am sorry . I will leave both of you to talk. " Alyssa said and went to her room feeling out of the place.

When Alyssa was out of sight , Calcel walked to Clere and cupped her cheeks.

" Love , You see Mother missed you a lot. " Calcel said.

" But Daddy misses me too. I need more time with him. " Clere said solemnly.

" That is understandable because I also miss you. But you have to go back for studies. " Calcel said.

" But can't I study from here ? " Clere Asked.

" Sure , You can but remember Daddy is going to be busy with campaigns and I will also be busy at work so we might not get time to be with you. " Calcel explained.

" Okay brother. But I really wanted to be with you a little longer."

" I understand that. But I promise you that as soon as everything is settled , I will come to pick you myself and we can live happily ever that. " Calcel said and when Clere nodded , He hugged her and patted her long hair.

" Wow , What's happening in my house ? " David asked startling the two that they quickly parted from the hug.

" Father ? " They both called.

David smiled and sat down on the sofa. " Why are my lovely children happy today ? " He asked.

Clere looked at Calcel and smiled before turning her gaze to David. " Dad , Am going back tomorrow. " She said.

" Oh really , Are you tired of us already ? " He asked.

" Of course not Dad. She needs to go back to school. " Calcel said.

" He's right Dad. Big brother promised me that of I do well I will come back live here completely. " Clere said

" Good then. " David said and cupped her cheeks. " I will escort you to the airport tomorrow myself. '

" Really Dad ? "

" Of course love. No matter what the situation is , Just know that I will always love you. "

" Love you too Dad. " Clere muttered hugging David.

Calcel smiled seeing them like this.

The next morning , Alyssa got up and got ready to leave. She was just in the living room when she realized that David , Calcel and Clere were all no where to be seen.

' Are they still a sleep ? ' She thought and decided to ask one of the maids who was cleaning up the house.

" Excuse me Miss ! " She said.

" Ma'am , How may l help you ? " The maid asked.

" Am.....Where is everyone ? " She asked.

" Oh...They all left to the airport with Clere. " The maid said.

" Ah..Did Clere leave any message for me ? " Alyssa asked hoping something because at least Clere was her only friend in the house.

" Am not sure about that but I hope that she did. " The maid said.

" Fine... Am leaving for work.." Alyssa said before leaving.

At EE Entertainment..

Alyssa was just done with her photoshoot and was trying to remove off the makeup from her face when she saw Herman's reflection from the mirror approach her. She turned around with a smile to look at him.

" How is my girl today ? " Herman asked .

" She's doing just great. " Alyssa answered.

" I can't believe that the shooting is finally coming to an end.." Herman said sitting down besides her.

" For real , Things are moving faster than o expected. "

" So , What will be your next plan ? " Herman asked.

" I will have to focus on my songs. Acting is really making me bored. " Alyssa spoke making Herman burst out in laughters.

" Are you really serious about this ? " He asked.

" Of course. "

" But don't forget. If it wasn't acting you wouldn't be where you are now ! " Herman said to remind her.

" You are right. But I can change the thing. "

" Really ? "

" Yes. All I need is to be focused. "

" Fine , I will always be there for you and I know you can make it. "

Alyssa smiled at Herman after their talk. She got up and picked her purse.

" Am going to visit my mother , Do you mind going with me ? " Alyssa asked.

" Of course yes. You already miss her right

? " Herman said with a giggle.

" Of course. I've never been away from her like this. " Alyssa muttered.
