CHAPTER 2

"Grandpa?", questioned Abby. "You damn right it is. Who else did you think it was?", he complained. Abby stood there with her mouth open and full of embarrassment. She had no idea it could be her grandfather. Her grandfather sat on the floor, coughing while trying to force himself up.

"Do you want a glass of water, grandpa?", asked Abby in a trembling voice.

"Keep your water to yourself you son of a….",

"Hey Abs, I'm home.", said mom as she came barging through the front door. She closed the door and turned around to see grandpa on the floor.

"Wait what? Dad? What are you doing on the floor?!", she shouted.

"Ask your daughter, she attacked me when I got here.", grandpa replied grumpily.

"I…. I… thought you were an intruder.", defended Abby. Vivian placed her stuff on the table, ran towards her dad, and hugged him very firmly.

"I almost died because of your daughter, are you trying to choke me too?", said grandpa in a bitter voice.

"O sorry. So, dad… you here to celebrate the festival?", said mom.

Grandpa looked up at mom and gave a cute smirk, "I am here to see you knuckleheads, it's been ages since I have seen you guys, so I thought why not swing by your place. Nice place you got here.". Vivian's house is a little small but is perfectly set.

The main door has a beautiful welcoming mat and a dream catcher hanging on the doorbell. The front door is a stunning, hand-crafted door made out of teak wood. The surface of the door is very smooth and shiny. It has a very modern look to it with embedded strikes running from the top corner to the extreme bottom. At the entrance is a polished, frameless mirror hanging from the wall. Underneath the mirror is a wooden table with a flower vase on top. On the left is the living area and a further left is the kitchen. Stairs go straight up from the right side to three rooms on the top floor.

"We should get ready for the festival tonight.", said mom. Everyone got up and went to their rooms to change into their costumes. After a while, Joe also came home to get ready.

"What should I wear mom?", asked Abby. Vivian flew to her wardrobe and went through all her fancy dresses.

"First of all, Abs this place sucks. When was the last time you cleaned your closet?", criticized, Vivian. Abby rolled her eyes and brushed it off with a little grin. "I'll clean up later, just… just give the dress, please.", replied Abby in an uninterested way.

"Clean it up now, how long will it even take? huh.", she replied. Abby curled her hands and used the fairy dust to pick all the clothes from the ground and put them back in their places. The clothes lifted from the ground in harmony and floated in the air like clouds in the sky.

"Wow! Looks like someone learned how to control these powers.", Vivian sneered.

Abby laughed and replied, "They taught us this in school, it is really cool right.". "Very cool, peach.", Vivian replied.

Vivian turned her head towards the closet and searched for a beautiful dress. She picked out a sparkly dress with several sequences on the neckline. It was a night-black dress that faded into a blue, purple, and pink gradient from the bottom. It had a rich gold belt around the waist. Fairies always wear gold. Where ever you see them, they will be wearing something of gold. It was believed that pure gold would protect them from human beings and other problems. The supplier of gold in the fairy world is a well-known leprechaun, Mavis. Mavis uses his gold to create customized jewellery for the fairies in Fairyland.

The night appeared and the sky went dark but the ground lit up with sparkling lights. The entire stadium was lit up with chandeliers and candles. The chandeliers were made out of real diamonds and the chairs were lavishly made with pure gold. The tables were made out of the most expensive and luxurious glass. The ceiling was hanging with fresh roses and tulips of all colours. The stage was magnificently decorated. The background was cream white with a swirly design on top. The stage had a glamorous edge to it with the colour combination and souvenirs.

On the other side of the stadium was the hall of fame. It had the names and pictures of the great fairies of the past. Their portraits were kept in gigantic and aesthetic frames, with their magic wands. Not all of the Fairies have magic wands, magic wands didn't even exist as far other fairies' knowledge. Only the oldest and the first fairies, had wands to protect their lands. Magic wands are beyond powerful than fairy dust. After a few decades, magic wands were banned for local fairies because they were misusing their abilities. Legend has it that Richard, the ex-member of the fairy council was kicked out because of these allegations.

The part was attended by both the fairies and leprechauns. Although leprechauns have nothing to do with the event, they joined it to show their love and support for the deceased fairies. The hall was all overfilled and overpopulated. Every creature in town needed to attend the event to honour their history. Abby met Dory at the event. Dory wore a stunning ombre dress with a golden necklace. Her dress spread out like a mermaid's tail at the end.

"Oh my god! You look stunning in this dress, Abby", said Dory. "If I knew you had this dress, I would have stolen it a long time ago,", she laughed. "You look wonderful too.", said Abby.

At every event like this, Abby and Dory always sit at the very back of the stage behind their school friends. Abby's parents, Vivian and Joe, were seated at the front row with papa Morgan and the rest of the members of the town council. There were almost 100 to 150 tables in the stadium, each table big enough to fit almost 10 chairs. There were round tables set vertically, creating 5 rows on the right side, 5 rows on the left side, and a wide space in the middle leading towards the stage.

A red carpet rolls its way up to the stage staircase, covering the entire platform. It was almost 8 pm and the event was about to start.

"Okay, fairies and leprechauns…. Welcome to the annual Awakening festival.", said Mr. Marcus. Mr. Marcus is the son of papa Morgan, for the past 60 years, he has been hosting the event every year. "Is everyone ready for tonight?". The entire stadium was bursting with the screams of the audience. "First of all, I would like to thank the organizers of the event, everyone gives it up for our TOWN COUNCIL!!!!", screamed Marcus. All the members of the council stood u from their seats, smiling with proudness.

"Next up I would like to thank a very special person in the audience tonight and that is papa Morgan!", Marcus continued. "Papa Morgan is one of our oldest and respectable fairies, he has seen the best and the worst of time. So, I proudly stand here and appreciate him for being brave, strong, there for the town when it needs help, and of course…. for being the best dad ever.".

The entire stadium cheered, hooted, and clapped for Marcus. "Without wasting another moment, fairies and leprechauns, LET THE SHOW BEGIN!!", finished Marcus.

He stepped off from the stage and the lights went off leaving the whole stadium pitch black. The hooting sound of the audience turned into complete silence. Eventually, a small orange light shone from the top of the stadium, onto the stage. A piece of gentle, calming music began to play in the background and the curtains slowly opened. A bunch of fairies came spinning out on the stage. Some were flying in the air and some were sprinkling magic dust on the spinning fairies. This dance happens every year. It is a tradition to dance on this night. The magical fairies glided on the stage like a delicate swan and owned the show with their impressive moves. The dance went on for like 5 minutes and in these five minutes, not only were the fairies on stage dancing, but the fairies in the audience started to vibe along with the music too. The dancing ended and the fairies were rewarded with a well round of applause.

Marcus stepped back on stage to introduce the next act, which was singing. Each year a choir of young fairies is prepared to sing in front of the crowd. This time, Dory's younger sister, Abigale was a part of the choir.

"Look at that idiot in the choir.", laughed Dory, as she pointed her finger towards Abigail. Abby nudged her and asked her to stay quiet or they will be kicked out. The event went on with a couple of more acts and then a speech from Papa Morgan. Papa Morgan took to stage to express his feelings about this town and how much it meant to him. He added, by saying how much the town had changed since they first created it and that he wishes all the young fairies the best for the future. He then paid homage to the creator and founder of the town, Martha. Papa Morgan was in tears at the end of his speech as he stated the sacrifices made by the fairies to build this town, he said,

"This town is a symbol of the sacrifices made by the fairies in the past. We should all thank them as we wouldn't be standing here, celebrating if it hadn't been for those heroes. Things were always as peaceful as they are right now... a long time ago, we lived with the humans in their world. We lived in complete harmony and friendship. There was no chaos, no fighting, no hiding, and no fear. We weren't a threat to the humans and the humans weren't a threat to us. But as the generation expanded and their minds corrupted with the need for advancement, they became greedy and thought that our powers were a raw material for their success. At first, they used us as slaves but then they started hurting and killing fairies, extracting their powers and using them for their use. As a result, hundreds and thousands of fairies were massacred for their greed of ultimate power.",

Papa Morgan took a short pause and continued,

"I lost many of my fairies due to their greed but, …. One day we decided to end this horror. I, myself was a victim to their treachery. When we raised our voices against this violence, the head of the humans called a few of the fairies for a discussion. But that was no discussion, it was a trap. They imprisoned my partners and I, and kept us locked away for days with no food, no water, and even extracted all of our fairy dust. We were weak and had lost any hope of being rescued. At that very moment, we saw a bright light from the cracks of the dungeon wall. The lights became vibrant as they approached the wall and shattered it into pieces. My team and I were confused as to what was going on. Then we saw it…. Martha. She got everyone up and took them to an abandoned place which is now the fairy world. She sealed it with magic so no human could ever set foot into this place and try to hurt our kind…. We should be glad for where we stand today and be thankful, that you didn't have to go through all of that. Don't let the fairies down and do them, proud youngsters… do them proud. Thank you.".

Papa Morgan gave a wonderful speech that left everyone in tears, except for Dory. The entire arena was full of applause but Abby's ears were full of snores. Abby looked to her right and saw Dory sleeping! Her mouth wide open and drools coming out her mouth. Abby nudged Dory and woke her up. As soon as she gained consciousness, Dory began to clap along with the crowd.

"It was a nice speech Dory, show some respect.", said Abby. Dory yawned and replied, "It was pointless, he says the same thing, again and again, every year, I have heard this so many times that I legit have dreams about it.". Abby smiled and rolled her eyes as the little fairies started to prepare the food. The food table was marvellously decorated with bows and flowers. In the middle was a big candle stand and lit candles. The food was presented spectacularly on the table with delicious drinks aside. Marcus made his way towards the mike and announced, "The food is ready, everyone enjoy." The fairies from the food table brought small meals on to the fairies sitting in the audience.

The food presented was a classic vegan dish with salad and fresh fruits. There were vegan mini blinis with carrot lox, sweet potato, and chocolate and balsamic roasted beets. The drinks included some mint margarita for the adults and chocolate hazelnut milkshake for the young fairies in the audience. Everything on the table was vegan. Fairies are forbidden to eat any meat as it cruel towards the living creatures. Abby however was not vegan. She did not enjoy leaves and fruits instead; she was a big fan of BBQ and roast. No one knows this about Abby except Dory and her parents. They try their best to keep this secret between them as its reveal could not be pretty to the ears of the older fairies. The little fairies came flying towards them with plates and placed it in front of them. Dory knew Abby wasn't a big fan of this food. She looked at her and teased her, "Eat up, Eat up.", she whispered to Abby.

Abby looked at the plate in complete disgust. She sat there still while taking huge bites and forcing it down her throat. Eating vegan food makes her gag. Abby tried so hard to keep the food in her mouth but couldn't shove it down he throat. She couldn't spit it because she was surrounded by tons of fairies and couldn't swallow it because it made her chock. Dory, on the other hand, ate up her entire course with complete interest.

"I think I am going to barf,", whispered Abby to Dory. "Stop being dramatic and eat it up.". Abby looked up and saw her mom staring at her with concern. They talked to each other in sign language, trying their best to remain unnoticed. Her mother signalled her to stay put for a while. Abby excused the dinner table and went to the restroom. The washroom was located a little outside the stadium. Because the entire event was taking place inside the outside was rather darker, a few rays of light shone from inside, providing enough light to spot the washroom. She flew towards the bathroom in a rush to spit out the food in her mouth.

"UGH! Phew. Who eats this?", she said making a disgusting face. She was occupied in the washroom when she heard the washroom door creak open. She lifted her head to look at the door. The door was wide open with no one there.

"Is anyone here?", asked Abby. No response was given after her words. Her hands started shaking and her fear consumed her to such as extent that she could barely fly.

"Hello!", she said again. Now the other door in the bathroom creaked open. Upon witnessing this scene, Abby screamed at the top of her lungs and ran for the bathroom door. She firmly placed her hand on the bathroom door and tried to open it. It won't open. It was stuck. Somebody locked it. Abby started banging hard on the door and started screaming. She continued this for about 5 minutes when she heard a whisper from behind her,

"Just listen to me."

Abby's heart dropped to the bottom of her feet and started racing. Sweat began to pour down from her forehead and her hands started to shiver very badly.

Abby turned her face around as slow as possible and stared in distress.

There was no one there. The washroom was empty. She turned around and banged on the door harder this time, twisting the doorknob in the process. The noise of the event cancelled out Abby's screams and noises.

"Why isn't she back yet?", Dory said to herself. Dory got up from her seat to take a look at Abby. Vivian bumped into Dory on the way.

"Where is Abby? I brought her food but I can't find her.", said Vivian.

"She went to the bathroom. I was just going to check up on her.", replied Dory.

Dory left the stadium for the bathroom. As she got nearer Dory heard faint bangs and screams coming from inside the bathroom. The voice caught her by surprise and for a moment she stood there, frozen, trying to figure out what to do. All of a sudden it hit her.

"Oh my god! That's Abby!", she screamed. Dory flew like a lightning bolt towards the bathroom door. She screamed out Abby's name and forced opened the bathroom door. Abby bolted out of the bathroom and bumped into Dory

"It was, here again, it was here, it was here…. I heard it, it was here.", she cried out loud.

Dory tried to calm Abby down but she wouldn't cool down. She kept on mumbling and mumbling but Dory couldn't understand what she was saying. Dory picked her up and took her back inside. She sat her at the chair in the very back and called out Vivian. Vivian was busy with the other fairies and kept ignoring Dory. Dory ran to Joe and brought him to Abby.

"LOOK AT HER! She is all pale!", said Dory extremely worried.

"Hey peach, look at me, tell me what happened, why are you so scared honey.", asked Joe.

Abby didn't utter a word. She was shocked and horrified by the dreadful episode she just experienced. Tears rolled down her eyes and she started biting her fingernails. Her toes curled inwards and her entire body was quivering with fear. Joe turned to Dory and said,

"How did you find her? What happened to her?". "She was in the bathroom for a long time and I got up to check up on her. I heard her scream and shout because she was locked inside. I guess the door jammed so she couldn't open it.", answered Dory.

Meanwhile, Abby's grandpa showed up from the event. "Why you seem so scared huh Abby?", asked grandpa.

"She got locked in the bathroom. That's it. She will be alright.", answered Joe "Hey, um I can't leave the event right now, do you mind taking Abby home." Said Joe to grandpa.

"Yeah sure, no problem. Get up kiddo let's go home.", said Grandpa. Frightened Abby got up from her chair and held her grandpa very tightly. They got in the car and drove home. Dory wanted to come with them along but her mother caught her to meet some guests. A silent ride home was nothing but awkward. Grandpa tried talking to Abby but she would reply with a simple nod, barely initiating a conversation. Grandpa continued to talk to Abby about her school life and stuff.

"So what grade are you in?", asked grandpa. "8.", she replied in a monotone. Grandpa tapped his thumb across the driving wheel and said, "So..... You learn new fairy tricks in school yet?". "No, nothing much.", she replied.

"Yeah, I can see that. If you did you would probably fly your way home rather than ride with me.", said grandpa. Abby looked at grandpa with a hideous look and said, "If you are such an expert in magic, then why didn't you fly your way home?", said Abby. Grandpa gave a big Santa-type laugh and said, "I am 200 years old Hun, my wings are not that strong. They would have been If I didn't have an accident.", said grandpa.

"Accident? What accident?", questioned Abby. Grandpa tried to stall this question. He didn't intend to mention his accident but it accidentally came out of his mouth.

"Ah, um, it… it was nothing.", he replied. "Does mom know?", she asked.

"No one knows, and I am planning on keeping it that way.", he said. "Now you have to tell me!", screamed Abby. After several moments of being bothered by Abby Grandpa finally said,

"Okay, okay I'll tell you but don't you dare his mom, or anyone else ok?", said grandpa. Abby looked at her grandfather and said, "I promise I won't tell anyone now tell me.", she said.

"You might have heard the stories how humans cannot enter fairyland, but did you know that fairies can enter human land.". Abby's mouth was left wide open after she heard grandpa say this. "Yes, it is true.", he continued, "Our world is protected by magic, theirs' is not. We can enter and leave anytime we want to but they can't."

"you entered the human world!", exclaimed Abby.

"It was very different from all world. They walked instead of fly; they didn't have any wings nor did they have any magic. They were abnormal. The roads there were really busy. When I entered there, I saw that my wings and magic were all gone. I became a part of them. I looked like a human, I looked exactly like them. Their world was no different than ours. They had restaurants, they had shopping malls, everything that we have right now. But the feeling in that place was so horrifying. Although it looked like home, it was not, it wasn't nice. I was completely lost in the world, wandering around looking for a familiar place. But I couldn't find anything like that. I was confused, I didn't intend on going to the human world. I was walking my dog one day and I fell down this big hole. I blacked out for a moment and then I woke up in an unusual place, there was traffic noise, I heard fairies talking and murmuring. I was laying down on the ground then I got up to see who was talking around me. And then I realized they weren't fairies, they didn't have wings, they didn't have magic, they were not flying, they were walking on foot. My mouth was left open, I asked the fairy beside me where his wings were, he looked at me as if I was talking crap or if I was a psychopath. I was scared because I did not know where I was. I made my way to a nearby store. I went to the shopkeeper and asked him for fairy dust because I did not have some when I came into the world. I asked him and he frighteningly looked at me, Like I was a monster standing in front of him ready to take his soul. You should have seen his face.", laughed grandpa. "he looked paralyzed. I walked away from the store and sat in the park for a moment and then I thought… where am I? What happened? How do I get back? And then it clicked, they didn't have wings, they didn't have power because they were not fairies, they were humans! At that point I panicked a little bit, I thought I was going to be a victim of their treachery. I got up from the bench and ran away, I didn't know where to run but I ran as fast as I could. In doing so I hit a big truck. It was something called a school bus, there were hundreds of tiny humans inside."

"How did you come back?", asked Abby. "I don't know, I woke up in the hospital and the next thing I know, these wingless people had wings.", exclaimed grandpa.

Abby scoffed and said, "It must have been a dream then, you couldn't have just entered the human world and left?".

"I don't know.....whatever it was…. It was shit.", said grandpa.

"Grandpa! Language, please.", said Abby.

Abby did not believe a word grandpa just told her, she found the story a little disconnected and unexplained. She knew this was not possible. Abby ignored her grandpas' story and sunk into her deep thoughts. She was extremely dazzled about today's incident, first in class, then in school, and now in the bathroom. These events forced her to think she might be going crazy.

They reached home after a few minutes. Abby went upstairs and locked her door. She laid down on her bed and gave a big sigh of relief. She was glad to be home after a long day. Abby changed into her pyjamas and went to sleep. The tiring day immediately caused her to fall into a deep sleep. A few hours in, she was awakened by a loud whisper.

"Wake up!". Abby quickly got up and looked around her bed.

"Who is it?", she said in a shaking voice. "Calm down, it's just me sucker.", said Dory

"Why would you do this? I almost had a heart attack.", replied Abby.

"Almost, but not dead.", she laughed. Dory sat at the edge of the bed and told Abby about the event after she left.

"You missed the best bit, I swear.", said Dory.

"Why what happened?", Abby asked.

"Do remember the story of an evil fairy Richard? They talked about him today in class. Well, out of nowhere, he showed up.", said Dory.

"He what...?", said Abby in complete confusion. "Wasn't he dead already?", she added.

"Apparently he wasn't. After you left everyone started dancing and talking, enjoying the night to the fullest extent. All of a sudden, the music stopped playing and the entire stage was covered with this thick mist. It looked gave a ghost vibe. It was very creepy. Everyone was very confused as to what happened. Then a dark figure, immerged from the mist.", said Dory.

She went on to add that the figure had big wings, almost like the wings of the first fairy, Martha. He looked old and hurt. He approached a little nearer to the mike on stage and began to introduce himself. The entire stadium was left in surprise after he called himself Richard. The entire town council looked at him in complete terror. Vivian jumped and said,

"But we killed you, how are you….". Richard didn't say another word except this, "I am coming for you". After that, he gave a giant, horrifying smile and disappeared into thin air. All the fairies and leprechauns ran away in fear. They were was a big chaos in the stadium after he left. Papa Morgan and the council tried their best to calm the crowd but they didn't listen.

"What about my parents, where are they?", asked Abby. "All the members of the council left for a meeting after this happened. The entire stadium was cleared and everyone was requested to go back to their house, I just got back too, so I came here to tell you. Anyways how are you feeling?", said Dory.

Abby was left in fear thinking about this moment. A negative energy began to build up around the room. She began to think that it was Richard who was continuously following her today. "Are you sure? Was it Richard?", asked Abby in a trembling voice.

"Of course not!", said Dory. "Wait what?", asked Abby in complete confusion. "What do you mean?"

"I was just messing with you Abs, no such thing happened. The event ended and everyone was coming back home. I came a little early to check up on you.", replied Dory.

"You little brat! I am not talking to you. Who even pulls this kind of a joke? Ugh.", complained Abby.

"I got you, didn't I. You should have seen your facial expressions, oh my god. You are such a loser.", joked Dory.

Both of them sat down for a while and talked about school stuff. Dory went home after Vivian and Joe came back home. Grandpa was sitting at the dining table eating food.

"Didn't you eat food at the event?", asked Vivian. "I did but now I am hungry, stop looking at my food and let me eat."

The entire house was a complete mess. Abby was at school today and Vivian was at work so none of them got a chance to clean up. Vivian was distressed to see the amount of junk in her house. She swung her hand around in the air and used her magic to pick up the clothes from the sofa. She sat there for a while and went upstairs to get some rest.

"You should rest too dad.", said Vivian as she went to her room. Grandpa sat there still with no response. Vivian and grandpa have never been close. They always stay like this. Whenever I tried to ask Vivian about her behaviour towards grandpa, she would change the topic or walk away in the middle of the conversation. No one knows what happens, not even Joe. Vivian keeps this matter private and expects others to respect her privacy.

By the blink of an eye, morning approached and everyone went back to their normal routines. Abby got up to get ready for school but something seemed off. Yesterday, she cleaned up the entire closet in front of her mother, and now it looked as if it wasn't cleaned before. She got a little stressed out on this but decided not to pay any attention to her hallucinations today. She went downstairs to eat breakfast with the rest of the family.

"Good morning guys.", said Abby

"Here is your…..", said Vivian as she turned around with breakfast in her hand. For a moment everyone froze and gave an awful stare to Abby. Joe and grandpa stood silently as the plate from Vivian's hands dropped to the ground.

Confused Abby asked, "Why are you guys looking at me like this?". There was no answer

"What happened to your face?", asked grandpa. Vivian gave grandpa a rude stare and told him to stay out of it.

"Why what happened to my face?", Abby got up from her chair and approached a nearby mirror. After that, the entire house was screeching with Abby's screams. Vivian was quick to come up and hug Abby. Her nose had shrunk and her ears had gotten smaller. She didn't look like a Fairy, she looked like a human. Abby didn't understand what was going on.

"What happened to my face!", she cried.

"It's okay peach, everything will be alright. Look at me okay, everything will be alright.", said Vivian in a calm voice. Vivian asked Abby to stay home for today until they figured out what had happened. Abby was completely losing it, she was panicking and all of her anxiety came flooding through. She ran up to her room and locked the door. Vivian and Joe called papa Morgan over to their house to look at this matter. Abby was confused at the sudden request of papa Morgan's assistance. She didn't know what papa Morgan had to do with all of this. Grandpa took one look at Abby and didn't look at her again. He knew something was wrong with her and that the calm behaviour of Vivian and Joe meant something.

Grandpa called Joe in a separate room and said, "Tell me what is going on, I know you know what happened with my granddaughter. Tell me now.". Joe gave a frightened look to grandpa and said, "How would I know what is going on, I am as terrified as you are. I don't know what you are talking about.". Grandpa still didn't believe Joes' words. He knew they were up to something and that they were hiding something from him. Grandpa went out of the house and papa Morgan came in.

"You said there was an emergency."

Joe and Vivian brought Abby out of her room. Abby walked towards papa Morgan with her facing the floor. Papa Morgan lifted her head to take a look. He took a look at Abby and tried his best not to show any signs of fear. Papa Morgan closed his eyes and started to mumble a few phrases and blew fairy dust on her face.

"Just sit tight and relax, everything will be fine. I promise.", said Papa Morgan to Abby in a convincing tone.

Vivian took papa Morgan in the kitchen and asked him about this.

"You said it would never happen again,", whispered Vivian.

Again? Thought Abby. Joe was quick to close the kitchen door so Abby couldn't hear what they were talking about. Abby's suspicions grew stronger and stronger after these events taking place one at a time. Joe flipped the dining table chair and sat next to Abby so she wouldn't feel uncomfortable.

"So, how is my daughter feeling?", asked Joe while running his fingers through Abby's hair.

Abby didn't say much because she was really affected by the sudden change in her physical appearance. "Not good.", she replied. Joe took her daughter's hand and assured her that everything will, be fine. After a while, papa Morgan and Vivian came out of the kitchen. Vivian looked at Abby and give a cheery smile, "Look who is getting better."

Abby's nose started to look like the nose of a fairy, but her ears still looked a lot like humans'. Abby went upstairs to lay down. She looked at the ceiling and kept thinking about the Paranormal events taking place with her. She was scared yet determined to know what her mother meant by 'again'. Did that happen to her in the past too? What was the reason behind her change? Abby isn't a shapeshifter fairy, then how did her appearance change? All these questions began to run through her mind. Abby began to question her birth self. Was she human at her birth? No that is not possible. How can a human change into a fairy? She was trying to think of as many possibilities as she can. She knew her parents were keeping her in the dark on this matter so she decided to investigate the situation herself. A little later in the day, Abby's parents went to work and Abby was home alone. She took advantage of this situation ad snuck into her parents' closet.
