22. Cana Alberona

"I understand. I will relay it to my superiors." She replied. There is nothing that comes to my mind that the council can give me and Irene cannot so it is better for them to owe me one. A favour from the strongest organisation on the continent might prove to be useful someday.

"Hey old man, take care of yourself. And keep the quest reward, I don't need it" I said while throwing him a pouch filled with 100 gold coins. It will be enough for them to live comfortably for the rest of their lives. I picked up Luna who was standing on my shoulders and playing with my hair and put her in her rightful place.

"Goodbye guys, take care of yourselves" I waved at them along with Luna also waving her paws, peeking out of my chest pocket and started flying away.

"THANK YOU FOR SAVING US" I heard the villagers shouting at me from behind but I just just waved again without turning back and flew away.

I saw him flying away and saw the villagers bowing in the direction he left and shouting their thanks.

Who would have thought that a kid no more than 10 could take down a demon from the book of Zeref.

When he released his pressure for a moment, even I was forced to take a step back. I once had the fortune of viewing a wizard Saint battle and I don't think his pressure loses out to him.

"Elior huh.. the future of mages is bright with people like him out there"I muttered while facing at the direction he left towards.

" But Fairy Tail, the geezers at the council are gonna get a heart attack if he is like the rest of them, with a tendency to destroy things" I giggled just by imagining their faces when they find out about this.

It has been about an hour since we left the village. It is already evening so I decided to take rest in the first town I come across and I can see an outline of a town now so I went there and booked the most expensive inn in the town.

It's not like money is a problem. With how much money Irene packed in my ring, I am probably the richest person in the kingdom. Well, maybe except the king. I guess the legend of dragons being treasure horders is true after all.

I took a long shower and even bathed Luna which she liked very much, we both had dinner and then went to sleep as I was tired after everything.

(Next day)

I ate breakfast and then checked out of the inn and am now just roaming the town. This town is called Cranks town and is the same size as Magnolia, which is quite big.

Luna is looking around curiously from withing my pocket as it is all a new experience for her. We tried all the specialities of the town and I was just thinking of leaving when I saw a little girl crying in a nearby alleyway with her head between her knees.

I moved towards her and put my hand on her head

"Hey little sister, why are you crying? Do you need help" I asked her in a warm tone.

She looked up and was surprised to see me. "Are you talking to me?" She asked in a nervous voice.

'Hmm, she looks a little familiar'

"Yes, do you see someone else around?" I said still with a warm face.

Growl~ but before she could answer, her stomach did.

" Hahahaha, it seems you are quite hungry. Lets go, my treat" I offered.

" My mommy says that I shouldn't follow strangers"

She said resolutely.

" Oh, that's quite simple. I am Elior, a mage from Fairy Tail guild. See, now I am not a stranger so you can come with me" I said with a smile while showing my guild mark.

" Fairy Tail, that's the same guild as my dad" she muttered thoughtfully.

'Huh, don't tell me-'

"I am Cana Alberona and since you are from the same guild as my father, I will trust you" she said noddingly as if satisfied by her reasoning.
