Chapter 30: No one in this world dares to oppose Grayson

The day finally came to an end. Lena spent it in anxiety, while the little one was joyfully playing around. When she arrived home in the evening, little Helen was already fast asleep. After dropping Helen off with her mother, Lena returned to her own apartment. It had been a tiring day.

Just as Lena stepped out of the elevator, she noticed many cigarette butts on the ground and saw Grayson standing at her doorstep.

His well-fitted white shirt and black trousers accentuated his tall and straight figure. His coat hung casually over his arm, a move anyone could make, yet he executed it with a relaxed and lazy charm, making him even more luxurious and elegant, irresistibly drawing attention.

Grayson heard footsteps and looked up at Lena. The person he had been waiting for so long had finally arrived.

Lena saw the fatigue in Grayson's eyes, along with faint traces of redness.

Grayson quickly approached, pulling Lena into his arms without giving her any chance to resist. He kissed her forcefully. Lena felt uneasy; his strength was intense, his grip on her arm like a vise, making it impossible for her to break free.

"Focus," Grayson said dominantly.

This man indeed had the ability to bewitch people to death; probably any woman would fall for him in his suit.

Now she leaned on his chest, feeling his tenderness and protection, realizing how much she longed for Grayson's embrace. She wanted to stay like this forever.

Gossip from colleagues during work echoed in her ears. They all seemed to be enjoying the drama.

"The CEO went abroad to see his fiancée!"

Lena suddenly pushed Grayson away, catching him off guard with her reaction. She looked at him with disgust in her eyes.

Without hesitation, Lena raised her hand and slapped Grayson.

Grayson narrowed his eyes, a cold glint appearing in his deep gaze.

"Lena," Grayson said coldly. "Mr. Grayson, please behave!" she retorted. "You shouldn't be at my doorstep right now; you should be with your fiancée! I have no intention of being a third party! We're just in a superior-subordinate relationship!"

Lena's words felt like a knife stabbing into Grayson's heart, spreading instant pain throughout his body.

Grayson squinted his dangerous eyes, pushing Lena into a corner, lifting her chin to make her look directly at him.

"Very well, Lena. Today I'll tell you, no one in this world dares to oppose me, Grayson. You're the first person to dare hit me."

After saying this, Grayson's profound gaze scrutinized Lena for a while, as if trying to see through her. Then, a self-mocking smile appeared on his lips. He lightly opened his thin lips, his voice colder than ice.

It seemed like he owed this woman something from a past life, making her torment him in this one.

Grayson picked up his clothes still on the ground, glanced over them, then threw them into the trash. Without looking back, he walked towards the elevator and left.

As the elevator doors closed, Lena completely collapsed. She struggled to open the door, not even bothering to turn on the lights, and sat on the floor. Tears streamed down her face.

Clearly, he already had a fiancée. Why did he come to provoke her? Clearly, he had disappeared without a word four years ago. Why did he come back? Clearly, he was a high and mighty CEO. Why did he have to have issues with an insignificant employee like her?
