Chapter 12

While Lin was thinking about what she had just seen on the screen of her own company's security footage the car carrying Mingyun and Wen reached a hospital. It is the most prestigious hospital in the city of Nantong.

Wang Mingyun exited the car followed by Chen who looked at the massive structure in front of him.

"Please follow me brother Wen." Mingyun said to him as he nodded.

He then walked with her as they rushed past the people inside as she hurried to get to her destination as Wen followed her with a steady pace keeping close to her.

Meanwhile at the room where Mingyun's uncle is currently being taken care of, it can be seen with the readings of the equipment that his condition isn't good. Beside the hospitalised man is a man with brown hair, brown eyes and a fair skin as he is wearing a suit and is looking at the man who is his father with a distraught look. A doctor and two nurses were also present in the spacious room who were watching the scene.

"Isn't there anything you can do?" The man asked the doctor present there.

"I have done whatever I can to save his life but none of it seems to work. I'm sorry to say this, but I am helpless here and he might not live for much longer." The doctor said with a remorseful look on his face.

"No way. How could this happen? I'm the mayor of the city and I can't even save my own father." The man said with a distraught face as he looked remorseful.

"Cousin Jing!" Mingyun called out as she burst into the room.

"Mingyun?!" The man named Jing said surprised to see his cousin.

"Cousin Jing. What happened to my uncle?" Mingyun asked when she saw the heart monitor.

"Fathers condition is not good. Even the greatest doctor in our city is able to find out what is wrong with him." Jing said with a downtrodden look.

At that moment Mingyun looked at Wen before she grabbed him.

"Cousin. This is brother Wan. He is a good doctor." Mingyun said to him with a hopeful smile on her face.

"A doctor?" Jing said as he blinked a bit at her words.

The doctor and nurses present in the room also looked at Wen when she said that as the doctor didn't remember anyone with a face like that.

"He can help uncle." Mingyun said to him as she looked at him.

"Really? I need to see your licence." Jing said to him as he looked at Wen.

"I'm more of a Herbalist and Acupuncture doctor and my skills were given to me by my teacher who lives outside urban areas so I regrettably don't have a sanctioned licence by the Chinese government." Wen said to him with a straight face.

"What!? You mean you brought a man without a licence to treat my father?" Jing asked Mingyun angrily.

"But cousin, he really knows a lot." Mingyun said to him as she knew why he would be angry.

"I know you can't trust me without a licence, but your father is going to die in 7 minutes if I don't intervene here." Wen said to him seriously.

"What did you say!" Jing said angrily when he heard him.

"I had checked him and he won't die so quickly." The doctor said when he heard the young man.

"You can see for yourself that your father isn't about to last long. Shouldn't you at least try every option you have before he dies. Otherwise you might regret not doing everything you could do." Wen said to him seriously as he ignored the doctor.

"Are you mocking me for my inability to help my father!? Do you believe that you can do what the greatest doctor in the city couldn't do!?" Jing shouted as he grabbed Wen's collar with an angry face.

"Cousin Jing! Please! Give brother Wen a chance to help uncle." Mingyun said to him as she grabbed his right arm.

"Mingyun." Jing said as he looked at his cousin.

"It's your choice Mr. Wang Jing, if you want your father to live then you must give me the opportunity to treat him." Wen said to him without losing eye contact.

"You..." Jing said confused about what to do.

"Cousin Jing please, uncle might have a chance if brother Wen takes a look at his condition." Mingyun said to him with pleading eyes.

Jing grit his teeth as he looks at Wen who is looking at him without flinching. He then looked at his father and then clenched his hands before he loosened them a bit.

"You get one chance. If nothing happens then I'll kick you out of here for wasting my time." Jing said to him angrily.

"Thank you. You won't regret this." Wen said with a nod.

Just then the equipment started to beep more signifying his worsening condition shocking the people as the doctor had said that he won't die so quickly.

"What's happening!?" Jing asked the doctor shocked.

"I don't know. This shouldn't be happening." The doctor said as he was surprised as well.

"As I said, your father only has 7 minutes to live." Wen said as he immediately reached the man's bedside.

'The Yin energy inside him is too much for him. It wouldn't have been a problem for someone who is able to control but he doesn't have that so it's destroying him.' Wen thought to himself as he could see the yin inside the man.

He put his hand inside the pocket inside his jacket and pulled out 7 acupuncture needles that he had just made. He then opened the hospital gown of Jing's father and put Yang energy inside the needles as golden chi surrounded him as small winds were created from him.

'What the!? This energy... Is he really able to do it?' Jing thought to himself in shock when he saw it.

'The Yin energy is blocking the flow of chi inside him and it has worsened his condition, no doubt the excess Yin energy being the reason he is in this state. I have to remove the energy now.' Wen thought to himself as his eyes glowed for a second.

Then in an instant Wen placed the needles in specific places on the bedridden man's chest and then placed his pointing finger on the man's head before he proceeded to insert yang energy inside the man.

The needles he placed on the man's chest helped to open a way for the Yin energy to be released and the Yang energy that Wen is putting inside his body is pushing out the Yin energy from the man's body.

Soon the Yin energy which was causing his health to deteriorate was removed from his body as Jing's father breathed in air shocking the rest of the people in the room.

"How?" The doctor said shocked when he saw that.

A moment later the equipment started to show readings which showed that the man's condition is getting better as his heart started to beat more and at a normal pace as he started to breathe more evenly as his chest moved to show it as well.

"F-Father." Jing said as he was beyond shocked at what he was witnessing right in front of his eyes.

He was resigned to the fact that his father is going to die and he would not be able to do anything and now his father's health is returning to normal. It was nothing short of a miracle to him.

"Brother Wen. You did it." Mingyun said with happiness as she has tears in her eyes.

Wen in response turned and looked behind him before giving a smile towards the others in the room.

"I told you did I. I can help your father and I did it." Wen said with a content smile on his face.

'Are you seeing this Buddha? I saved a person's life.' Wen thought to himself as he looked at them.
