Spirited away

"Boss, why did you take some worthless man?" A boy asked.

The red-haired beauty ignored what the boy had to say, taking a document from a colored folder out reading over it again before handing it to the kid dressed in a large green scarf.

"For now I ask you to take this to Saniya to make sure the trade is efficient Grant." She stated.

"Understood mistress…" Grant replied.

He dashes out the door with the document in hand. The mysterious woman walks into the only other room in this small compound where Christian is resting peacefully.

A beautiful Indian woman dressed in emerald green choli and lehenga, her black hair pinned into a ponytail. She wrapped her fingers in strands of Christians hair twirling it.

"I heard Everett's group made it to the hospital after we left Melanie." The woman presented.

Melanie laughed out loud in shrieks, bending down she raises Christian's left eyelid to find it is dimly glowing. Releasing her grip from his eye she looks over her friend.

"Have you met Everett's sword Diya?" Melanie asked.

"No I haven't...is she pleasant?" Diya replied humbly.

"She basically is a goodie two-shoe bitch, she was given the luck of a goddess…" Melanie explained.

"Let's play with her luck, Melanie Luv," Diya answered.

"I agree, let's play with her luck Diya!" Melanie replied.

Diya clutched Melanie's hand, they intertwined their fingers in each other, locking them in place; they looked lovingly into the other's eyes.

Melanie gives Diya a short sweet nip on the lip, they gawk over to Christian who begins to open his eyes. Sitting up he carried a blank expression on his face.

"The magick is still affecting him, it seems." Diya chuckled.

"He looks less red than before, meaning your healing worked," Melanie responded.

Christian lets his hand drift to his glowing eye, his slender fingers embracing the pain burning in his retina. He moans out the more brilliantly it casts glimmer with intensity in its shine.

His eyes seemingly rolled up in the back up to the back of his head for seconds, Christian's eye color returned to normal causing him to look curiously at the two ladies in front of him.

"Where am I?" Christian asked.

"How did you do that?" Diya questioned.

"Do what?" Christian answered confused.

"Obviously with the eye Diya, he was able to null the spell by instinct alone," Melanie replied.

Christian tries to get up, he is pulled back to the bed by Melanie to lay back down. He retracts his arm back from her embrace confused.

"You need to take it easy there, you are still sick," Diya stated.

"You are right...thank you," Christian answered kindly.

"Sickness from opening to the veil is common." Melanie clarified.

"Can I ask a question?" Christian asked.

"Sure, hit us," Melanie replied.

"Is my friend okay?" Christian inquired.

"You mean that man who was with you at the hospital?" Diya asked.

"Yeah...I don't mind as long as you don't hurt him." Christian affirmed glancing down.

Melanie patted him on the back, they both were very quiet for moments at a time looking around.

"He is fine I assure you," Diya answered.

Christian looks around the small white room he is confined to, a plain white room. His bed is queen-sized taking up most of the space if not all.

"What are you looking for?" Melanie questioned.

"My phone, I want to call home," Christian said.

Diya holds his phone in her hand, smashing between her fingers with a cheerful grin. Christian watched heartbrokenly at how they treated his expensive phone.

"Seriously? You needed to destroy my phone?" Christian shouted.

"You are part of a big transaction, magick eye boy." Melanie expressed.

"I am being sold? That's what is going on here?" Christian yelled in shock.

"You can thank Alice for this, new veilers are attractive," Diya explained.

Christian sighed out laying back down to stare out at the ceiling, Melanie and Diya get up together. No look of sorrow for their captive.

"Are you hungry?" Diya asked, "Can you keep down food?"

"I don't want anything...thank you…" Christian replied despondently.

"The lady isn't too bad, so cheer up?" Melanie stated.

He turned to his side saying nothing more to them, they closed the door behind them. Christian can audibly hear the click of the locking mechanism.

Feeling too awake now he stared out into the distance, he noted his room has no window. He assumed right away why there would be none in place here.

Still feverish he didn't plan to find a way out, the second he saw the redness of the crimson sky he should have pegged something wrong yet he did nothing.

He has no choice, but to put his trust into someone whom he never met to at least be kind to him, decidedly he won't fight till he is better.

A cabinet sits far in the corner, something poking up from the drawer. Pulling himself up from the bed he wobbled on his feet to the object. He takes the item to learn it was a small swiss army knife; the blade was dull.

Knocking on the door startled Christian, he jumped dropping the knife to the ground. He kicks it under the bed, Diya peeked in to find him standing up.

She comes in with a change of clothing, Christian comes forward taking them from her hands.

"Thank you…" Christian replied in a somber tone.

"I didn't want you leaving in hospital clothing, it's the least I can do."

"Are you going after anyone who is open to the veil?" Christian questioned.

"They turn a profit, I would be careful out there right now."

"I see...how did you learn I was at the hospital?" Christian argued.

"A witch knew you would be there and asked us to retrieve you, we put a hit on Alice to distract one of the hunter departments."

"A what? You must be joking with me…" Christian yelled.

Tossing the clothing down on the bed, he could feel blood boil hearing her explain what happened. Diya only smiled at the frown he was giving her.

"She should have protected you better or at least know better…" Diya said in a low threatening tone.

"I don't need protection, but I will make you pay for doing anything to Alice!" Christian warned.
