" Man, you don't have to do this. You will be killed by me later or by someone who probably hates you. Are you sure you want to kill me?"
Agam leaned on the wall with boredom on his face, asking questions. His tone didn't feel like he was being threatened and he seemed to think of them like they were idiots to capture him.
" Don't worry. I know who you are, Mr. AGAM. The hero of the north and the member of the secret organization guardians, but I don't think neither you can escape from here nor your fellow guardians would rescue you if we clean this place up. Besides, you will be a worthy sacrifice for our great God."
The priest laughed with a fanatic face, thinking he would be rewarded by the bishop who was living with them. This city was one of the biggest branches and they were currently working with the cardinal and 2 bishops who were overseeing the operation to escape the eyes of the churches.
" Man, you are underestimating us. Look, my friend can snipe you from miles away with his sharp eyes and my comrades will soon raid this place. A measly bishop can't hurt a shit."
Agam spoke coldly while getting up from his seat. The sudden tone of his alerted him as he looked back at them, finding an arrow tip on his face. The cold gleam of the arrow reflected the image of his face, showing the man behind the bow.
" The difference between you and I is just a logical reasoning. If you had a right mind, you would have known that we were too dangerous to keep alive."
With a single sentence, his pocket knife cleaved his throat clean as the priest pressed his throat with big eyes. He never imagined the guardians of humanity would kill someone in so cold-mannered blood.
" Don't assume me as a weakling. I have seen plenty of blood in my life and I don't mind tainting my hand with another one's blood."
Agam threw the knife whilst picking the sword up from the table. He saw the golden light of the sword was glowing and he knew he had to punish these heretics who thirsted after the blood of the innocent.
" They are here. I can feel their presence from here."
Mikael didn't gaze at the cold corpse under his boots as he moved toward the gate where he would meet his teammates. The old rusty gate wasn't able to hold him off.
Bang*
With a single arrow, he accurately hit the weak point of the gate, shattering it into pieces.
" I knew you were here. Did you find out about their altar?"
Regina put down her gun, looking at them with a calm face. The duo greeted their comrades with warm smiles. They were happy to see their faces after this incident.
" What about the lord?"
Mikael asked lightly, leading them to the place where they saw the altar.
" Don't worry. Lisha has got him with another new member. I think he will be done."
Licht said with a calm face whilst observing the terrain. He saw the corridors were narrow and enchanted with magic which was a little troublesome for rangers and mages. Furthermore, he believed Daemon would also have a problem fighting against them.
" I don't like this place. It is like a cage more than the hall."
Daemon tried to relax his muscles because he felt claustrophobic in this hall.
" We don't have much luxury. Just try to destroy this place. Cynthia, can you use explosion magic? Yelena?"
Both of them shook their head with bitter faces due to their inability to do so. They could use one and that would probably cause this place to crush down on them.
" The weakest magic would affect us here, captain. I don't think we have no choice but to engage in close combat or we can lure them out."
Licht spoke softly, looking at the gloomy end of the corridor where he could see a spherical-shaped room that had an altar in the center of it. Moreover, there were 3 individuals and a dozen of people were waiting for them.
" Look! We don't need more sacrifice. They have come to us, begging to become an offering for our gods."
