Chapter 43 Free

The light of the runes diminished instantly when Licht disconnected the runes. He opened the door with a calm face, looking at the interior as he turned his head around.

The interior of the hall was the same as the outside hall, but something was a little off. The cold air rushed into his face, telling him something was off from this place. Furthermore, the warm lights of the candlelight turned into blue while the chilly air of cold mana was lingering on the air.

" This is a definitely prison. I don't captain is alright, but we have to leave this place quickly. I am feeling icky for no reason."

Daemon clicked his tongue, showing the hair on his arms that stood up from his senses. Licht nodded at his words, thinking the same because he felt this place was rather odd. It was certain that the lord was connected to the evil people at this point.

" Follow my footsteps. If we are right, we can find them instantly."

Licht immediately hastened his movements while looking at the door with a deep gaze. He could feel these doors had something inside them and he didn't have time to check it. Besides, the mana around here had something fishy about it. It was more darker and violent than other areas like the cemetery and divine power was extra thin in here which meant there was something evil hiding inside this area.

" Look, Licht. That door is similar to the door which the maid told us before."

Daemon rushed into the door and hit it with his large body. The heavy door was deformed in a second as they entered the room where they saw Regina standing there with other women.

" What took you so long? Quick, we have to save Agam and others. I heard they are using them for sacrifices."

Regina put down the metal in her hand as Leah and Cynthia hugged them.

" I brought you some gifts!"

Licht threw the pouch toward them as they took out their equipment. The remaining young women shuddered when they saw the weapons due to their trauma, but thankfully Regina managed to calm them.

" Leah, you lead them outside because you aren't suited for close combat. Yelena and siblings are near to us, so we can pick them up on our way."

Regina gave away her commands, leaving the room with the other three. Leah didn't question her decision since it was an emergency. Her quick maneuver and decision-making capabilities were surely best suited for logistics and ambush.

" They are in that room. Thanks to Yelena we managed to stay safe. However, it was sickening to see that bastard was swinging his little peanut in front of us. He was hallucinating that he was ravaging our body."

Regina spoke with a cold tone whilst Cynthia hugged herself with disgust. Even Daemon who was an ignorant person showed his confusion and anger for it.

" That is it. We should take his head before leaving this damn city."

He was determined to kill the lord, but Regina disapproved of his thoughts.

" We will be labeled as criminals if we do that. That bastard was definitely a master-level knight. He was hiding power and he was hiding something in this area."

Regina rolled her sleeves, shooting the doorknob with her rifle. She saw Yelena and beast siblings waiting for them in their room with smile on their faces.

" Big bro, you came back!"

The siblings hugged Licht while Yelena stood next to him as they sniffed his scent. Honestly, Licht had a floral type of scent due to his home and his aura was full of light and warm.

" Goodness. You are all safe. Now let's find out that bastard's work."

He spoke gently, caressing their heads with a soft face.

They proceeded to the corner where Licht felt ominous mana. Unlike before this area was heavily obstructed by the magic, but Licht who solved the previous magic could easily tell this was done by the same mage.

" Such a sloppy mistake."

He shook his head with disappointment as he solved the magic almost immediately. The difficulty was indeed different but the principles were the same as before. There was no need to solve second time.
