Kid Arc (Epilogue)

"H-he Got a four-leaf clover!!! Oh my heavens, it has been forever since one has been blessed with mana."

"What a talented young man!"

"Will he give me his seed?"

"Please marry me!!"

"I wish I was a woman; how awesome would it be to bear his child!"

The whole crowd became noisy as Nacht's four-leaf Grimoire was revealed to the world; with a purple color, the book's cover looked royal and dominating at the same time.

Everyone was shaken because the four-leaf Grimoire was last seen ages ago, and due to William not getting his Grimoire yet, people weren't used to seeing it.

(I guess it's not bad, I could work with this...) Nacht was not disappointed when he got his Grimoire, but he wasn't crazily happy either. He wanted something unique (the four-leaf Grimoire is also unique, kinda)

Despite his acquiring the four-leaf clover grimoire, no noble dared approach him. In their eyes, already terrifying Nacht had become even more terrifying. His magic increased several-fold, making many of the people there suffocate.

Soon, the situation in the grand hall turned silent; everyone's eyes were on Nacht, who, in turn, observed his Grimoire silently.

After a while, when the whole place was uncomfortably silent, Nacht started walking towards the exit of the place. People got out of the way subconsciously and made way for him; nobody dared to obstruct his path.

But before he reached the exit, Nacht heard a voice, which was loud enough for the whole hall to hear. "Brother!!"

Nacht turned around to see a young man who looked identical to him, except this man was donned in all-white clothes rather than his black ones. (Wait, I forgor I had a brother too!!)

"Yes?" Nacht asked, not showing his inner panic (What does he want?)

"Can we talk?"

"Okay, follow me."

After walking outside, in private. Morgan, who was already anxious about what to do about Nacht, comes clean with his feelings "Brother, come with me to our home."

(Wait, No. Why is he insisting ill give up on my freedom?)

"You are mistaken; it's YOUR home, Morgan" (Go away!)

Morgan was surprised by Nacht's reply; it made him sure that Nacht was already angry about him getting everything and Nacht getting exiled.

"Brother, I know you are angry! But you've 4 leaf grimoire now; everyone will accept you!" Morgan pleaded again for Nacht to return home.

"I have come to enjoy my life here, Nacht; I don't want to return any more."

"Okay, brother, but at least let's join magic knights together; there won't be any family there."

(Why is he so insistent?)

"Alright, I'll think about it..."

Far in the boonies, in the village of Hage, two kids that were barely three years old were playing together.

"CATCH ME IF YOU CAN, YUNO!!!"

"Asta, stop; it's near the forest; Sister Lily has told us not to go there!"

"COME WITH ME; I WILL PROTECT YOU!!"

The white-haired loudspeaker went on running past the bushes while the other kid followed him closely.

As Yuno was passing through the bushes, he again heard Asta's voice. "YUNO, LOOK, I FOUND SOMETHING!!!"

"What is it, Asta?"

Asta picked it up; it looked alive but heavily injured. There were bruises all over his tiny body, which was the same size as the two kids. The only difference was his skin was black, and he had fangs for his teeth.

"W-what is that, Asta!!??" Yuno said, scared shitless, pointing at Asta

"I DON'T KNOW, BUT HE LOOKS INJURED; LET'S HELP HIM"

"N-No, no, Asta, I don't think we should do that."

"WHY NOT? HE IS INJURED!!"

The unconscious devil woke up hearing two human kids bickering near him. His instincts flared up, and he attacked Asta, that was holding him up, making him bleed a little from his cheeks.

"A-Asta, get away from it!!" Yuno screamed at Asta; he himself was scared and was shaking

"Y-you! What are you! Get away from us!!!" Yuno conjured a breeze of wind in his hand; although it sounded impressive, the pressure of the gathered wind was nothing more than a casual blow from the mouth, making it comical

{Who are you, humans! Why have you come to me} The Devil took a cat-growling stance, ready to attack at any moment, and asked the two kids who found him.

"HEY, WILL YOU BE MY FRIEND?" Asta shouted, surprising both Yuno and the Devil.

{W-wa?}

"What are you saying, Asta? That thing isn't human!"

"HE LOOKS SOOO COOOOLL!!!"

The Devil was flabbergasted after hearing the kid's statement. All the humans he had met before tried to kill him or, at the very least, feared him as a monster. The Black-haired kid was an accurate representation of it.

But there was something odd about the White-haired one; he could sense that, like himself, the kid also didn't have a trace of magic in his body.

But as melted as his heart was, he didn't show this on his face and said again {Waa- Why would I be friends with a bunch of kids like you!!} a huge red blush forming on his face.

"I AM NOT ASKING YOU TO BE MY FRIEND; I AM INFORMING YOU ABOUT IT! I AM ASTA; THIS IS YUNO; WHAT IS YOUR NAME??"

Yuno was just looking at Asta, flabbergasted; how could he befriend such a creature just in a second?

{I-I don't have a name}

"Wait a minute; first of all, what are you?" Yuno asked again, cautiously

After a bit of reluctance, the Devil replied, {I- I am a devil...} There was a ting of hatred and sadness in the Devil's eyes.

Hearing this, Yuno's face darkened while Asta screamed, "WOAAAAA SOOOO COOOOOOOL!"

"Asta, we can't make friends with a Devil; we live in a church, god-damn it!" Yuno tried to reason with Asta, but he was way past the point.

Asta just said, "HE CAN LIVE HERE; WE CAN BRING HIM FOOD AND STUFF; HE WILL BE OUR FRIEND."

The Devil was watching as the two humans were practically discussing about adopting him as a pet or something, but he didn't hate the feeling of being wanted.

"At least, let's think of his name first" Yuno sighed, giving up on convincing Asta.

"LIEBE, YOUR NAME WILL BE LEIBE, MY FRIEND!!!"
