I know

The Queen didn't really believe her to be her daughter after all. But now was the time for a very big revelation. "That is not true, and you know it yourself . . . . " Aria let her voice trail off in the end, and the queen's smile vanished as she asked, "What do you mean?"

Aria inhaled sharply. She had felt the queen's demeanor change with those four words. She had gone from the friendly person who could be her mother, to the imposing queen of the water kingdom in a matter of seconds. But it had to be said, and sooner better than later.

"Well, you see . . . . "Aria chose her words very carefully, "I know the father of that baby girl had black hair."

Realization dawned on Amber's face and she turned her face from Aria's. The next few seconds were quiet, Queen Amber staring in the lake, apparently processing what Aria had told her, and Aria looking at her worriedly.

"My Queen? Are you . . . . . " Aria swallowed her question when the queen turned her face to look at her. "How much did he tell you?" she asked, her voice devoid of emotion.

Aria shrugged. "He told me all he knew, which was not a lot to be honest. But he tried very hard to get me to his side." she simply replied with the truth. "Get you to his side?" Amber asked, looking confused.

Aria nodded and spent the next few minutes going over all Edmond Christo had disclosed about his plan. How he planned to use Aria against the Queen, how he was planning to become king after overthrowing Amber, and how he tried to plant hate in Aria's heart at Amber for abandoning her own daughter.

Amber's face was dark by the time Aria finished. She was staring at a spot in front of her without blinking, apparently thinking something very hard. Aria sat beside her, also thinking.

She thought back to that night, and for some reason, imagined that she really was the water kingdom's lost princess. Aria could see hoe Edmond's plan was good, any daughter would be bitter, even if a little, upon learning that she had been abandoned. Aria herself wasn't sure that she had forgiven the fire kingdom for ripping her from her family.

"Aria? Aria?!?!" Queen Amber's voice brought Aria out of her thoughts. "Are you okay?"she asked, once Aria's full attention was on her.

Aria nodded and opened her mouth to speak, but the Queen beat her to it. "So he completely believed that you were his daughter?" she asked. Aria nodded and said, "He looked very happy about the fact to be honest."

The Queen let out a small smile and said, "Any person would be lucky to have you as their child." Her face turned serious the next instant. "Did you in any way correct his assumption?" she asked. "I think I encouraged it to be honest." Aria replied.

Amber nodded as she muttered, "Good. That is good." Then louder, "Good work. Maybe we can use the fact that he thinks you're his daughter to our advantage." Aria furrowed her brows and said, "I don't think so. Edmond seemed like a very selfish person. I don't think he has any love for any daughter of his."
